If It's A Choice, My Zygote Chose Balls: Making Sense of Senseless Controversy
'Gays against gay marriage' = the new 'ex-gay'
Months back, I discovered that the National Organization For Marriage purchased a couple of domain names around the theme of "Gays Against Gay Marriage," so it's no surprise to see NOM's Comm Director tweeting something silly like this:
It's no surprise, but it's infinitely ridiculous.
For years the anti-gay crowd has been trying to convince us that our nation/world is simply teeming with so-called "ex-gays." Even though they can't show us more than a scant handful of paid spokespeople who make...
Of course Bryan Fischer's bizarre obsession with homosexuality is *our* fault (#AlwaysTheVictim)
It's not an overstatement to say that this gent talks about LGBT people at least every other day on his American Family Association radio show, assembling one of the most over-the-top quote banks in all of anti-gaydom. But you can't blame Bryan Fischer for being so peculiarly focused. After all, those pesky homosexuals just want stop acknowledging their homosexuality:
Yeah! Women should stop talking about being women. Parents should stop talking about being parents. Democrats and Republicans s...

Mark Regnerus' telling aside: 'Mr Peters, remember that?'
To save some time, I'm going to assume you know the name Mark Regnerus and that you're aware of how aggressively the National Organization For Marriage has tried to used his very flawed research to call same-sex parenting (and marriage, by extension) into question. And I'm going to also assume, if you are a regular reader of this site, that you have some familiarity with the name Thomas Peters, the man who has served several roles with NOM but who now serves as the anti-equality organization'...
If NOM isn't anti-gay, why do they recruit speakers that viciously condemn gay people?
For the fifth year in a row, the National Organization For Marriage's Ruth Institute (headed by six-figure-compensated NOM employee Jennifer Roback Morse) invited vocal "ex-gay" advocate, person who likes to compare homosexuality to incest and pedophilia, and guy who likes to personally insult me, Robert Gagnon, to lead a series of sessions at its annual ITAF conference. This year, one of Gagnon's talks was specifically about how gay people's very orientations are unable to be supported—a vie...
NOM's Roback Morse warns about the evil, pro-LGBT TV
The telly is trying to trick you into supporting LGBT people. This according to the latest from the National Organization For Marriage's Jennifer Roback Morse:
Careful there, Jen. The grass has been known to host a few gay wedding ceremonies, the trees hold the tree houses of some lesbian mothers' children, and the bugs have been known to buzz around a few pride parades.
Guess you're going to just have to teach your kids that we exist among you. Crazy as that sounds.

Liberty Counsel attempts to turn anyone–can–opt-in email blast into sinister, insular act
The White House's "LGBT Update" is available to anyone. It is basically an email version of the LGBT-centered content that the White House posts on its blog. All you have to do to receive the email digest is click the following link and enter your details:
Sign Up for Updates on Issues Impacting the LGBT Community [WhiteHouse.gov]
But leave it to the exceedingly anti-LGBT Liberty Counsel to take this simple outreach effort and turn it into some sort of secret email that is being sent around to...

Congressman with 0% HRC rating inadvertently attends pro-gay reception
This is not an Onion story. This actually happened:
Rep. Ralph Hall, who, at 90, is both the oldest serving member of Congress and the oldest person ever to serve in the House of Representatives, was supposed to attend a Capitol Hill reception hosted by a fellow lawmaker, but accidentally walked into the wrong room and found himself in the midst of some very confused members of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.
