Video: How to sell an organization based 100% around gay (youth) discrimination

Over the weekend, the anti-LGBT coalition that had been working under the name "On My Honor" announced that their new, decidedly anti-gay Boy Scouts alternative will be operate under the moniker Trail Life USA. Here is how they are branding the pro-discrimination group:

I'll have to say, I didn't think the wrong side of progress would look so scenic!

Audio: Tony Perkins would pull kids from sports rather than exposed them to trans students' 'twisted view'

He might even pull them from school entirely, if they weren't homeschooled already. But the Family Research Council would definitely yank his kids from sports programs rather than have them follow the safeguards and protections for transgender students that are now prescribed by California state law (*to be enacted 1/1/14):

Eh, so the kids who are yanked from varsity sports might not be so good at something like basketball. At least they'll be...

Seventh Generation company repudiates NOM agenda

This morning I showed you how National Organization For Marriage president Brian Brown is using the Seventh Generation household products company to make some sort of convoluted point about why we should discriminate against future generations of LGBT people.

Well after I wrote my post, I figured that company would want to know about this co-opting of their message and mission, so I wrote the biz on Twitter and asked for a response. I'm happy to report that the eco conscious company was eager...

Wrong side of PA history retains costly counsel

Defending discrimination is costly to taxpayers. Literally:

NOM clearly referring to own efforts to make 'protect marriage' happen

Exactly! Thus the reason why "protect marriage," "sanctity of marriage," "pro-family," "Federal Marriage Amendment," and all of the other contrived fallacies are failing—an HARD.

Glad we agree, special interest group that will forever be associated with these (and so many other) fallacies!

AFA does what AFA always does: Ends boycott, fakes 'success'

Every failed boycott the American Family Association launches against a pro-LGBT company ends the very same way. First this rabidly anti-LGBT organization reaches an arbitrary decision to end the public campaign, and then they couple that termination with a claim that the targeted company made some sort of change in order to appease the anti-LGBT agenda.

It's Home Depot's turn:

After three years, a high-profile pro-family organization is suspending its boycott of The Home Depot because of the...

Brian Brown co-opts Iroquois longview for his own LGBT-excluding worldview

The National Organization For Marriage's president is deeply concerned about future generations. That is, future generations who are not LGBT, raised by LGBT parents, or supportive of the LGBT-inclusive reality of our Earth:

6A00D8341C503453Ef017Ee73Fdcfb970D-1As I think of our nation's children, I'm reminded of an old Iroquois Indian saying, along the lines of, "We will never make a tribal decision until we debate the effects out to the seventh generation; even if it means having skin as thick as the bark of a pine tree."

Today...

Audio: Loving Christian says you can attend same-sex weddings (*as long as you say spouses should be put to death)

I tend to ignore Kevin Swanson, since the radio host seems to have little to no influence within mainstream conservative circles. This one, however, is just beyond words. It's way too chilling to ignore:

Headline that should've been moot by 1980: Arkansas social conservatives versus federal ERA

If you are a Baby Boomer, enjoy postwar 20th century history, or have ever watched a Gloria Steinem documentary, you probably know all about the federal Equal Rights Amendment and the opponents' ultimate "success" in stopping it. Today, the Arkansas Family Council brings that tired, should-have-been-settled conversation back into play in order to reject our current, should-already-be-settled dialogue on marriage equality:

Anyone who thinks states should consider ratifying the proposed Federal...
