Conservatives desperate to hide 'ex-gay' therapy's truth
With laws barring licensed therapists from pushing scientifically discredited "ex-gay" therapy onto minor patients already going into effect in both California and New Jersey, and with bipartisan teams of lawmakers in other states moving forward with their own bills, social conservatives who have long denied on the junk science in order to justify their "love the sinner, hate the sin" stances are getting really crafty with how they address the doomed snake oil at the center of the debate. Lik...

AFA attacks Chevrolet for remembering that gay people have families, buy cars
The ads in question feature actual families, not actors. Yet according to the rabidly pro-discrimination, proudly anti-LGBT American Family Association, Chevy just "threw in a couple of couple of children to help legitimize the impression":
If you've watched any of the Olympics, you've probably already noticed that NBC is using the games as a pro-gay platform. The network hasn't missed any opportunity to promote the homosexual lifestyle to millions of American viewers.
Chevrolet is helping driv...
Video: Virginia's head anti-gay activist says ruling was 'less a legal argument and more a press release'
Victoria Cobb, an "ex-gay" advocate who is so committed to inequality that she refuses to even accept gay tolerance programs in schools, doesn't agree with Judge Arenda Wright Allen's awesome ruling in support of civil marriage equality. Shocker!
What's funny, however, is that Ms. Cobb spends her time at the podium stringing together platitude after platitude but then, without apparent irony or self-reflection, accuses the judge of essentially writing a press release rather than a legal ruling...

Audio: Tony Perkins' constant gay talk is going to make his caller bald
A new reason for anti-gay activists to drop their obsession with LGBT topics: it's ruining the hairstyles of their listeners.
Caller Ronald pleads with host Tony Perkins:
[SOURCE: Washington Watch, 2/13/14]
Well Ronald, until their rule bizarre commitment to fighting their LGBT neighbors stops bringing in cash, folks like Tony are going to keep dedicating the larger part of their faith-based advocacy to attacking our lives, loves, families, and associated rights. You can be sure of it.
You can do...
Fox News' Starnes upset that civil rights can't be unchecked popularity contests
The man who is probably the single most committed anti-gay activist on Fox News' payroll, Todd Starnes, can't believe that taxpaying same-sex couples deserve a standard above that of a high school student council election:
Oh no, these judges care about your vote, Todd. If not for the votes that wrong side of history activists forced on this nation during a misguided Bush era fervor, then the judges wouldn't have anything to call unconstitutional.
Not to mention, I'm pretty sure "...

BREAKING: Fed. judge strikes down Virginia's marriage ban! (*stayed pending appeal)
Virginia's Attorney General reports the unexpected late evening news:
The opinion:
Federal Court Decision Bostic v Rainey

The 'activist' in question is Mitch McConnell, FRC
In the latest attempt to turn U.S. District Judge John Heyburn into an "activist" because he decided that the state of Kentucky must allow out-of-state same-sex unions, the Family Research Council writes the following:
In the meantime, these cases, which are exploding in states across the country, only point to a deeper problem in the GOP's judicial philosophy. For the last several years, Senate Republicans, with the exception of a courageous few, seem relatively unconcerned about the ideology...
Video: Honolulu Bishop crudely condemns marriage equality before high school audience
Saying that we will not be "able to live the good life and the wonders like we have here" (at 1:41) if we accept marriage equality and wrongly suggesting that "the parts don't fit together—literally" (at 1:57), Honolulu Bishop Larry Silva spent his afternoon telling the boys at Damien Memorial School to oppose us and our loving unions. Oh, and (at 2:33) he compared people who tell us "the truth" about our sexualities to trainers who help Olympic athletes better themselves.
An enterprising stu...
