New Tutorial / WattpadFollow me at Wattpad to get each installment free here(and be sure to follow Matthew David Becket here to keep up with his projects, we'll be doing some collaborations)

I'm working on a new step-by-step Painting Tutorial here at Wattpad - - (My user ID at Wattpad is JasmineBecket, follow me here) this is a completely FREE tutorial, it will show all the step-by-step photos & very detailed descriptions, starting at the very beginning (cutting up a piece of wood) until the very end (varnishing). This is intended to be a much more in-depth instructional project than the usual short blurbs/WIPs I put here at Facebook, so I am doing it as a serial installment eBook up at Wattpad. Wattpad is free, it's online on your computer/pc (just create a free account at Wattpad.com ) as well as an app that is on your tablets/phones/devices too (just search Wattpad where you download apps).
I have just started the tutorial - so far all I've done up there is cut the panel to begin, hehe, so definitely jump in now so that over the next few weeks you can be in on the ground floor! You will need to make an account at Wattpad to read it, but it just takes a second, and then if you click the "Follow" on my author page and "Add" the book here, you'll receive each update as I publish each new installment. This is ONLY up at Wattpad (I'm certainly not going to put hundreds of photos & pages up at Facebook for those who are not interested, lol), so definitely check it out if you are interested in my painting method, art in general, if you are a fan/collector, etc.
Specifically this tutorial will be focusing on the new painting I'm working on in my Butterfly Fairies collection - "European Peacock" butterfly fairy!

And yes - as I mentioned - my husband, author Matthew David Becket is also at Wattpad here. We have some collaborations in the works (in fact one is being published this week by Fae Magazine for their Spring Issue - keep an eye out at bookstores), so be sure to follow him as well! He has also just started with the first couple installments of "Oscar Tweed" - a serialized mystery story.... you can jump inhere

New Men's Shirts!(And more Women's, Juniors, all of them are HERE)

Some of the Unseelie Court, and other slightly more "manly" designs, hehe. These are gorgeous shirts, Matt & I have gotten several of them for myself and I love them, very high quality printing, very nicely stitched & soft fabric. Please look at the size charts at the bottom of each style's page, all the exact measurements (remember to double the flat measurement for width). Sizes S up through 3X in Mens, Juniors & Womens. If you prefer a looser fit, go with the Mens style (they are the standard Unisex "regular" t-shirts), they have just added a ton of new pictures this week. PLEASE NOTE: If you have questions about sizes, ordering, shipping, styles, suggestions, etc. PLEASE contact the clothing company at the contact link above - don't ask me - I can't help you - I'm just the lady who does the paintings! I'm only the artist, I do not work for the t-shirt company, I can't help you with ordering, I don't pick the sizes/styles/pictures, I can't help with shipping questions or payments, etc. - but People's Choice Apparel would be happy to help - just click the Contact button at the top of their website above. See all the shirts here.

Important note: There is website work afoot, and servers being maintained atStrangeling.com this week, and my usual admin is on vacation. Most of the site is still functional, but may be a bit buggy. If you are having problems placing orders you have three other options: order on eBay ( Strangeling here for LE Canvases orStrangelingEmporium here for paper prints & open editions ), order on Etsy here , or simply email Amber@strangeling.com and let her know you'd like to place an order via email - we can always do it manually that way. Things should be back to normal next week!

"Circus Chariot" - another very fun, whimsical painting in my "Chariots" series, with a dark circus theme. A lovely silver haired maiden with a ringmaster feel with her little whip & tophat! This was a commissioned piece so the original painting is sold, but we have prints & canvases available now on eBay here

"Stilleven IX: Vissen" - A piece I created for the Stranger Factory gallery in Albuquerque for their "Peepshow" group show. "Stilleven IX: Vissen" - the ninth in a series of works I have in my Stilleven series that feature "deconstructed" elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with lovely girls, faeries & nymphs (of course!). Stilleven is Dutch for "Still Life" and "Vissen" means "Fish". A lot of beautiful flowers, butterflies, fish & fruit in - all popular elements included in famous Dutch still lifes. This is my own original acrylic painting, hand painted on panel, the original debuted and sold and at the gallery, but we do have prints & canvases available now on eBay here

These have sold so FAST! We only have one left on eBay - she is right here
She's the last one at the regular price. After she sells, we will have the traditional auction for the final #5/5 last-chance Limited Edition canvas (these sometimes get quite pricey), so if you want her at her usual price, snag her now here

Bosch Circus26" Framed Original Acrylic Painting $8200 - Corey Helford Gallery Prints & canvases are here

A piece I created for the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, CA. A circular painting with a circus theme – called “Bosch Circus” for the group show called “Freaks & Americana”. This piece is inspired by the circus history in my own family (a troupe of aerialists from early last century known as the Flying Behees) and of course some phantasmagorical animals and performers inspired by Hieronymus Bosch (from considerably earlier). I had so much fun with all the little animals & figures in this piece! Original Painting measures 26" framed in a handcarved dark wooden circular frame, and is priced at $8200. It will debut at the Corey Helford Gallery on January 24.
Two sizes of glossy paper prints (signed on the back by me) are available - 8x8" ($9.99 this week) and 12x12" ($19.99 this week). In addition, we now have two different kinds of canvas prints are available! The Masterpiece Limited Editions are limited to an edition of only FIVE canvases, hand embellished in acrylic paints by me personally, signed, dated, and numbered out of 5, measuring 20″x20″ on thick gallery wrapped wooden stretcher bars (ready-to-hang). Only FIVE of these will ever be made, and are $595. The #1 Masterpiece Limited Edition Canvas is up for auction here. Happy New Year, New paintings & new projects from Jasmine!

Updates from Jasmine!

Happy New Year!
We're finally back home in Florida (had a nice visit with our families up in KC for the holidays), back into my usual painting routine. I have a lot of exciting things planned for 2015! Among the first things I want to do is try to schedule more live painting broadcasts online through my Livestream - I'll be sure to let everybody know at least a day ahead of time so you can watch and pop in for Q&A (this time, I'm going to have Matty field questions and dictate the typing to him, so I can get more actual painting done). Other new projects through 2015 will be the remaining book character illustrations for my new Strangeling book, a lot of new Alice paintings for my Alice In Wonderland Oracle Deck, and a new focus on more surreal / magical realism paintings for my upcoming Surrealism themed Oracle Deck. I'll be getting a lot of Disney projects done this year - including a special piece for Disney's D23 (I'll be doing a signing there during D23) in Anaheim, my Take Over of Disneyland's WonderGround Gallery, and more events here at Disney World in Florida. I'll be at Dragon*Con & MegaCon, and will be returning to Kansas City for both Spectrum (in May) and for the KC Renaissance Festival. In October I'll have my primary solo show at Eight And Sand Gallery in Seattle -showcasing a new collection of paintings called "Birds and Beasties". Additional travels will have me going to Japan, UK and Europe. It should be a very busy year! Keep an eye out at myFacebook Events Page and even more importantly my website Strangeling.com to find out my schedule, updates, works in progress & more. Whew!
And for today, now that we're done celebrating - the three new original paintings that debuted at my Miniature Marvels show are now up on my website (the originals all sold at the Pop Gallery, but we do have prints & canvases available) - just scroll down through this update to see them all! Also a great article & a work-in-progress for an upcoming group show at the Corey Helford Gallery too.
