This morning I got a four-star review on one of my short stories that said it was well-written and faithfully recreated the voice of a young teen.

This evening my professor knocked points off agroup paper because it was inconsistent and I spelled things wrong (though I’m 99.9% sure I didn’t even use one of the words she said I misspelled).

The universe is sending me mixed signals on my writing abilities.
