i can answer that! i used to work at a bakery!

if this buttercream was dyed black using food dye, it would be very, very bitter. likely intolerably so. it may also temporarily dye your teeth and mouth and possibly your poop black.

however, another way to get this level of black would be to use black cocoa and a few drops of black food gel. in that case, it would just taste like dark chocolate buttercream :)...
