Having grown up pre-streaming-video, I have to say that being vaguely aware of a show because you keep catching the middle six minutes of random episodes while channel-surfing and being vaguely aware of a show because the memes are fucking everywhere yield remarkably similar levels of textual understanding.


Try to imagine what you would think Breaking Bad was about if your entire exposure to it amounted to having seen five minutes of each of twenty different episodes randomly ...
