Emptiness
Reblogged from Happinessecrets:
I love the night! I just enjoy the silence, the rain and the sound of my old friend: the clock. He reminds me that the time is the only that separates us from infinity, it might be also the one which wakes us up from eternal dreaming…
Tonight I’m not alone, I’m just sitting in front of somebody, we stare at each other for long time without saying a word.
Spirit
Reblogged from Dennis Cardiff:
Sun shines through
a pickerel sky,
loons
rock on the water.
I feel a presence
by my side,
hear whispers
and some laughter.
I know that if
I turn my head
I'll only see
the cedar.
My eyes I keep
on trails ahead
in hopes
that I might see her.
Spirit, you fill
my heart with love
yet, nowhere…
Beautiful Dennis

Happy New Month…….welcome to January, the Doorway!

You hardly get a “happy new month” wish in January! Everyone is tuned to the big picture: the New Year celebrations! January is even considered an anti-climax to all the excitement and frenzy of the last two months!
However, like other months, January has its significance and symbolism! For one, the month is named after Janus, the double-faced Roman god of beginnings and endings! Maybe, this has to do with the striking paradoxes of the month.
On one hand, January is a period of reflection, contemplation and serene soul searching. A time to review the last year/s and plan for the future!
On the other hand, January marks a new beginning which imbues it with the bounce and impetus for renewed hope, high expectations and youthful vigor, even for aching limbs and minds!
Those born in January have the alluring Carnation as their birth flower! Some call carnations the “the rejoicing flower” because of the Christian myth that they first appeared on earth at the time of Christ’s birth! Another Christian legend however, has it that carnations first bloomed on earth as Jesus carried the Cross. Moved by her Son’s agony, the Virgin Mary shed tears and carnations sprang up from where her tears dropped. Thus, carnations are also regarded as the symbol of a mother’s undying love. Another paradox of January!
The January magic continues! The month is governed by the energies of the germ stone, Garnet which invariably makes it January’s birthstone! Interestingly, garnet comes from the Latin granatus which means “seed-like”! This resonates with January as the month for “sowing seeds” in the form of new plans, resolutions, ideals, goals, etc.
These and many more attributes and symbolism of January are largely overlooked because of the New Year celebrations but, one thing we cannot overlook is that January is the door to the new cycle of our earth life which we, for the time being, designate as 2014 ! Let us make the best of it!
With unwavering faith in The Almighty God and Lord of all the worlds, step through the threshold and Doorway into the glorious Dawn that beckons on you!
Stride on with confidence as Heirs to your Father’s Mansions; not timidly as slaves and hirelings
Happy New Month, dear friends!

Everything Is Going To Be OK
Reblogged from findingmyinnercourage:
My life has rough days full of storms and tribulations and better days full of sunshine and warmth. Even though there are dark times there is greatness as well.
Being receptive and having an optimistic demeanor has led to positivity in my life, even in times of difficulty.
I stop living my life when I start reacting to my circumstances instead of living in control of my life and whatever it throws at me.
Nurturing Myself
Reblogged from findingmyinnercourage:
Nurturing myself through pain, fatigue, nausea, loneliness and sadness has taken its toll on me no matter how positive or optimistic I am.
I've learned to be gentle with myself.
I allow the tears to flow and have a good cry. It helps me to set my emotions free. My tears let my feelings out and then I'm spent. I pick myself up and start over soldiering on through the pain.
Being kind and gentle with oneself is a long journey. love it!

Words are strange friends.
We can't find them when needed.
They are so human.
