My Christmas Wish
I wish all the people in the world were good
To have hearts of gold
To do all the things they should
Like from the beginning of time, the things we’ve been told
I wish more would love their neighbors, even the bad
Giving with kindness straight from the heart
It would make our Lord so glad
To watch us do well, right from the start
I wish all had a home and family
Instead of so many doing without
It is difficult to watch and see
This is not what Christmas is all about
I wish all the children had a mom and dad
Loving and living in a safe place
The tragedy of insecurity makes me sad
How I would rather see the joy on a child’s face
I wish our country didn’t have others to fight
Men dying every single day
How wonderful it would be to make all things right
Bring our boys home, Lord, is what I’d say

Church Members Mistreat Homeless Man in Church "A Message To ALL"
Reblogged from Barbara C Rowe Author:
Pastor Jeremiah Steepek transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning.
He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service, only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him.
“With Only One Hand” Written by Barbara C. Rowe
With Only One Hand
The congregation was seated,
ready for the morning prayers.
It was a beautiful Sunday,
so most of the members were there.
They said the usual announcements
of events to come,
then asked if there were any prayer requests,
and there were some.
Songs of praise and worship
were abundant that day.
as all began to pray.
The sermon was touching,
about loving one and all.
Then the invitation came
for those hearing the call.
An old man, all ragged and forlorn,
stood there alone,
requesting to join
and make this church his own.
Some snickered and scowled
at the sight of this man.
Rejecting the call to accept him
by not raising their hands.
He wept and cried out,
“Oh Lord, forsake me not.
Have your believers
grown cold and forgot?”
Just as he spoke,
the room lit up bright.
A glow around a small child
was the origin of the light.
The child raised his hand,
his was the only one.
He understood the meaning
of God’s only Son.
Children have a way
of seeing the heart
where grownups judge on appearance
right from the start.

Church Members Mistreat Homeless Man in Church “A Message To ALL”

Pastor Jeremiah Steepek transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning.
He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service, only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him.
He asked people for change to buy food – no one in the church gave him change.
He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit in the back.
He greeted people to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him.
As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such.
When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation.
“We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek.” The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation.
The homeless man sitting in the back stood up and started walking down the aisle. The clapping stopped with all eyes on him.
He walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elders (who were in on this) and paused for a moment then he recited,
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
‘The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning. Many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame.
He then said, “Today I see a gathering of people, not a church of Jesus Christ. The world has enough people, but not enough disciples. When will YOU decide to become disciples?”
He then dismissed service until next week.
Following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ should be more than just talk. It ought to be a lifestyle that others around you can love about you and share in.

If This Were Jesus!
My friend told me this story and I wanted to forward it on to you. I’m not certain what post she saw it on, but it is a priceless lesson.
There was a church, fairly large, where the people were expecting a new pastor. They had not actually met him yet. One Sunday, during church services, a man who was wearing dirty clothes and appeared in a bad sort of way. He had asked the church to help him to get food because he was hungry. He asked for help because he had no home. The deacons of the church told him to sit in the back and they would talk to him later. When the deacons started talking to him, they said they were not able to help him and proceeded to go on about this Awesome pastor they were expecting.
The service went on and when the end was near and the call to come forward came, the ragged man walked up front and turned around and said, “You turned me away, not willing to help me in anyway. Is this what Jesus would of dome?” The congregation was not responding in guilt in any particular way, but rather callous to the man, UNTIL….
The man told them he was their new pastor and that he was sending them all home to think about what had taken place and he would see them back the next Sunday. All were ashamed , hanging their head.
You know, we will never know when Jesus might be in our presence. So, everyone should treat each stranger as they feel Jesus would want them to, because one day, it might really be Jesus we are turning away.
I thought the story was so awesome that this gracious, Christian Pastor came to see what kind of congregation he was going to have. I wish it was done more often to make people realize that we do not always treat others with compassion.

"Can You Hear Me?"
Reblogged from Barbara C Rowe Author:
Can You hear me?
when I call out Your name?
Can You hear me
when the darkness consumes me
and demons circle round?
The terror of the past haunts and creeps in.
My voice calls out to man for help,
but they don’t hear me, there is no sound.
Loss of a love, so pure and sweet,
death stole my hopes and my dreams.
