National Poetry Month : In US, National Poetry Month is more 'Learning Poetry, Writing Poetry' - How to Write a Poetry session can be taken in classrooms and children can select their own topics on like, writing poetry with names of all animals, colors, places or maybe on what they'd like to be, etc. Know the words, build vocabulary and learn how to rhyme. Here's on How to write a Poem. They can also make a scrap book and write their fav poems or pin up poetry charts on soft board of their classroom/bedroom/study room.

All at its best, conversation means pooling of information, the sharing of interests, the bringing together of ideas. Many children shy away from conversation.

What My Elderly Friends & Well wishers say!
(A multimedia Computer Demonstration was conducted by ilaxi on 15/9/97 for all Elderly Ladies of Sumangal Mahila Mandal, Ahmedabad. They were taught how to use Computers and surf CDs related to info-edu-tainment programs. Home computing awareness was given and all
40/50+ Ladies were impressed with the Computer use. Autographs were given in gujarati - here's from Vasuba below.

NIE - Newspaper in Education : Tips for classrooms

Kidsfreesouls provide NIE Tips (Newspaper in Education) and How to use Newspapers in Classrooms/at home. The Active NIE Program is conducted at Swagat Children Library with use of Kidsfreesouls News and other Newspapers in classroom. This is even supported with various on going Activities and events like Singing, dance, celebration days, etc. (Archie day, Sandwich Day, Cartoon day, You Tube video day, etc)
