Laptops
Computers have been known to start wars at least in my family. I have had my own laptop for about 9 years and I am on number 3 at the moment. I really like that I can take it anywhere and as a writer I feel I sometimes need that change. I am trying to get back in the habit of getting my desk in order and sitting at my desk to get more writing done. But as summer is approaching I would really like a spot outside shaded, because the sun hates me, but I have a nice backyard and I would like to be able to go outside and write. So thanks to pintrest I will be doing a summer board to see what I can pull off with a little bit of cash to create me an outside space to write at.

Easily Over Done.
Sorry about the lack of posts I have been very overwhelmed I am hoping I will have it all under control this weekend. I have had long work days and afterwards I just want to read or watch brainless TV. So here is a Sunday snippet of my WIP I am working on right now.
“Guys we have a problem,” Tony said looking down at the floor.
They all looked at the trail of blood leading out of the room into the room holding the compacter. “The room ain’t that big,” Carlos said.
“We can’t go back,” Donner said.
“We have to do it. The place is going to explode any second,” Kiley said. She had her metal stick in one hand and the other on the door. “Back me up guys.” She turned the knob and pushed open the door. She looked into the dark room. She held her breath reaching inside with her free hand feeling for the light switch, finding it she flipped it on. The room already smelt of garbage, but there was another smell in there. The smell of death. Her eyes darted around seeing nothing then looked down at the blood trail on the floor.
She followed after it slowly, one foot at a time. The guys had their guns pointed all around.
The trail ended in the back of the room. What she saw made her almost drop the metal stick, as her stomach heaved. Dark blood and gore ran down the walls with a large puddle on the ground. In the middle of the puddle lay the torn torso of one of the new janitors. His head had been half ripped from his body, and lay on its side looking up at her, its mouth wide open in a silent scream.
She turned disappearing behind what they called the grease pit, the metal compartment they and the other stores dumped their grease in, and threw up. Donner didn’t follow, but stayed by the side of the grease pit.
“We have to go,” he said voice gentle. He didn’t dare look at the mess at the back of the room.
She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. “Okay,” she said. “I’m okay.” She came around to meet him.
Carlos was standing by the door, far away from whatever was back there. He didn’t want to even know what it could be, and just wanted to get the hell out of there. He didn’t notice the blood soaked hands until they grabbed his chubby neck. He let out a deafening scream, and it echoed through the metal walled room. The corpse had him good, he struggled, but its hold on him wouldn’t budge from his position. He had no real fighting ground. He screamed again as he felt the human teeth sink into the flesh of his shoulder, and then numbness.

Weekend Randomness
This month has me a bit blandish. After taking a step back and looking at my possibilities I seem to be back on track. Here is some randomness.
What kind of wild animal would I like as a pet?
If the existed I would love to have a pygmy dragon! That would be awesome. I would let it fly around the house and puff smoke at people to scare them. I would have a harness made for it so I could take it for walks and places. The look on people's face would be priceless. I guess if it was a real wild animal that existed I wouldn't mind a baby lol.
Favorite memory?
I have many. There is one where I put some bubble bath in a hot tub, oh yes that happened, and no I don't think I should share that one right now. Another is I love shooting, it started when I was younger with my BB rifles. I had this piece of metal by my target and when my middle sister would walk by irritating me like she always did I would know exactly when to shoot the metal to ricochet the BB to hit my sister. Evil I know, but you don't know my sister. Another great memory that brings a tear to my eye is holding my baby sister in my arms for the first time. There is a 12 year difference between us and I wanted a baby brother, but as soon as I held her it was love at first sight. Meeting my best friends for the first time, Jaime and Destiny and what our journeys would lead us to discover. Meeting my husband, and the trouble we get into. See my books available on bn.com and amazon, me a writer who would have thunk it.
Okay I think that is enough randomness for now.

Snippet Sunday
Three years have passed since the outbreak that had reanimated the dead. And yet humans, being resourceful creatures, are still alive. On a remote island in the pacific, live a band of survivors from the United States. The island had once been a secret military base. It was left long ago, and a group of pot growing hippies had taken over. They greeted the refugees with open arms. And now as the dead ran the world, they had found themselves in their own utopia.
Men and women sat along the soft sand beach sunbathing, fishing and making nets. Charlain, saved from the siege of Beverly Hills, now lay darkening in the sun wishing for a frappuccino. She pushed her blond hair to the right side, as she pushed up her sunglasses to watch some of the men fish. Everyone always hung out around Base waiting for the scavenger boat that had left two weeks ago for the mainland.
Dirk bitterly pulled the net from the ocean, dropping the content into the boat. He had wanted to go this time to the mainland. But still he had been told he had to stay behind as always. He was so bored here, zombie bashing would be a different change. He tossed the net back over the side of the boat, the sun making his chocolate colored bare chest and arms gleam from the sweat. He looked out at the people on the beach. And then his eyes went to Base. Maybe he could go next time.
Donner lay back in the old beat-up chair by the radio. He was on duty, sort of. Late spring and the heat beat down scorching them. The radio squealed, making him sit up.

Heartbreaker Blog Hop

“Yes,” Ryan said still watching, “Cormack says they were very friendly. He is very glad.”
“And you Ryan,” Grady said finally after draining his cup. “Are you glad that Morgan is very close to your friend?”
Ryan’s eyes flashed dark and smoldering while his fists convulsed with the suppressed anger. “She does what she must for the kingdom.”
“She does it so no one else will die,” Coyle blurted. “I should have not said that.”
[image error] “Die?”
“It does not matter, I’m drunk,” he said making a small movement with his hand.
“She has been acting funny. Has it been a trick?”
“Yes, Captain,” Grady said standing up. “A trick. She does it for love. Love of her people, her family and her kingdom. Us fools, we love a Princess, and all of us, who loves us back to a point. It must be frustrating, to know she will never love you like she loves me.”
Coyle touched his arm, blinking in surprise. “Grady, that is below you.”
Ryan winced. “I do not know what you are talking about.”

Genre
I don't have one certain genre I have pegged down to. I am still fiddling around with them. I like to mesh it up and combine genres. I really am not sure where a story is going until I finalize it. Like I have an idea for a romance story and made my hubby laugh when I told him that it was straight vanilla. Because now you have many sub-genres of romance as well as other genres. So why do we have to be considered just one genre? I mean years back you had fiction, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, non-fiction. I worked in a bookstore if you come in looking for a non-fiction book we would just stare at you because even non-fiction has sub-genres and those sub-genres have sub-genres. Right not I am working a bit more dark erotic fantasy, but I have my fingers in some splatterpunk, steampunk, romance, fantasy, just to name off a few. Why should I be chained down when I have so much to play with?
So good readers if any happen to be writers what do you normally write? And why?

Coming this year I should have two new releases.
Blood Witch book 1 of the Opposite Side is a paranormal romance.
Welcome to the Opposite Side where monsters really do roam the night, but The Supervisors make sure that the monsters don’t get noticed by the normal humans. Leslie is a Supervisor, and a blood witch, one of four in California. Blood witches are said to have powers that rival gods, that’s why they were almost hunted to extinction. Nathan is king of the local werebear clan, and he has plans for the future of his pack but also has his eyes set on Leslie. Because Leslie is not just a Blood Witch, and together they are a power to reckon with. But nothing is as it seems in the Opposite Side, and Leslie’s already different world is going to be shaken as a new case starts a chain of events that can lead to a civil war.
And the second one is Awaken the Elements (Elements Trilogy) This is a dark erotic fantasy. This is actually my very first book I have wrote about 12 years ago. Last fall I went through and rewrote it and gave it more love.
Meet cousins Autumn and Anatha, two women who have been pretending to be normal, but they are far from it. They try to lead normal lives until a incurable plague spreads across the globe. They are forced to seek an unlikely shelter for a few years with their crazy families, a reunited boy band, and a wannabe rapper. During their first summer as they perform a summer solstice ritual it will awaken the elemental powers that rest inside of them leading them on the path of their fate.
I am hoping to finish more to have another few releases this year so here is hoping to get what i want done.
