Vampires, and the Perfect Cocktail Sauce

I'm in a couple of spots today, so stop by if you get a chance. All comments this week at the various sites will be put in a drawing for a $10 Amazon (or Barnes and Noble or Book Depository) give card or book order.

First, I'm doing an interview at author Pembroke Sinclair's blog , talking about the Penton Legacy. And what I learned was REALLY the oldest thing in my fridge--and my ingredients for the perfect cocktail sauce. Just made some last night,in fact, to go with a pile of boiled shrimp....

Storm Force Episode Six: Sneak Peek

"While the story is good with well defined characters I do not care for a book that leaves you totally hanging waiting for the next few chapters to figure out how the story will end. Will not be reading this writer again no matter how engrossing the story."

Oddly enough, this Amazon review (one of those one- or two-star reviews that really hurts an author's ability to have her books succeed in the way Amazon markets books) really made me chuckle--probably not the reviewer's intent. Uh, hello?...

What's the oldest thing in my fridge?

Happy Saturday! I'm up to my neck in Episode Seven of STORM FORCE, and let's just say it's living up to the title of the book.

But I do have a couple of rare Saturday gigs going today. I'm doing an interview about Storm Force today with author  Pembroke Sinclair . And answering that question :-)

Saturday posts tend to get kind of lost, but hop on over if you get a chance!

And tomorrow, I'll be back with an Episode Six preview...

Vampires in a Faerie Tale

Just a quick post today to thank Faerie Tale Books for reviewing the Penton Legacy series today!

As I wrap up the last two episodes of Storm Force over the next two weekends, I'm already starting to think about Cage and his dilemma. I think he's going to be fun to write because of his background both as a soldier and a psychiatrist.

Because you know the old saying--doctors make the worst patients?

Tune in this weekend if you get a chance. I'll have some guest posts and stuff going up on a rare S...

Penton on Parade: Today's Tour Stops and a GC

First, thanks to Miki for doing weekly discussions for new episodes of Storm Force at her Lecture toute une Aventure website. If you're reading the serial and want to talk about what a nasty, nasty piece of work Michael Benedict is, and wonder when Mori is finally going to abandon her upbringing and give him what he deserves, or how Kell is going to deal with all these shape-shifters...head on over using the above link and chat!

Today, Redemption is being reviewed by Noelle at the fabulous Sha...

Storm Force Episode 5 Out Today--and A Few Blogs to Hop

If you're reading STORM FORCE as it releases and are still traumatized at the ending of Episode Four, you and poor Mori will get some relief today. Yeah, and Kell, too!

If you've stopped by my Preternatura book blog today, you've already seen this, but here goes. I'm hopping around the Blogosphere this week, so check back for URLs! At each stop, I'm offering either a subscription to Storm Force, a choice of any of my other books, or a mystery book from my Towering TBR Pile O' Books.

First, as S...

Preview: Storm Force by Susannah Sandlin, Episode 5...and a Kindle Fire Winner!

So...have you forgiven me yet for the ending of Episode Four? All I can say, in my own defense, is that I had some aggression from the day job to work off.

So, this is Scene Snippet Sunday, where I run a short piece from a new release or a work in progress. Storm Force is, from a writing standpoint, entering the home stretch as I wrap up Episode Seven (of Nine). But today, I'm offering a sneak preview from five.

If you are new to the Kindle Serial format, you can learn how it works here. You c...

Hopping Around the Blogosphere (for a Kindle Fire win)

Lots of guest posts up around the blogosphere today (it's feast or famine!), so more chances to get extra entries into my giveaway of the Kindle Fire. You can learn more about the contest here .

--I'm at the  Romance Magicians  blog today, talking about how I developed my plotting system. It involved making such a mess out of a book that I had to take it apart and put it back together in a different way. I'm also giving away your choice of a) a free seat in the online plotting class I'l...
