Cover Reveal: ABSOLUTION!

I do have a new Redemption Virtual Tour post below, but first I wanted to share the final cover for Absolution, the second book in the Penton Legacy series. It's Mirren Kincaid's story, and will be released on October 9. (Although I think Amazon has some good deals on the whole series right now.) And...here we go!

Okay, so my Redemption hero, Aidan Murphy, was never a pig-farmer, at least not that he's admitted. But he was a farmer in his human life, and he is Irish. He's being a reluctant int...

A Vampire Plays Angry Birds: Scene-Snippet Sunday: Redemption

Time for Scene-Snippet Sunday!

This week's snippet is from Redemption. Scathe leader Aidan Murphy has called a meeting of his lieutenants, and his No. 2 guy, Mirren, isn't quite over being shot with buckshot the night before by a young girl/vampire--buckshot that's been scored with human blood containing the pandemic vaccine that's deadly to vampires. Will, resident irritant and another vampire lieutenant, can't resist....

“Oh yeah, those green pigs are so dead.”

The Redemption virtual tour continues today over at Zombie Girl Shambling , and I'm doing a Zombie versus Vampire Throwdown. I'm in Zombie territory, so get your fangs over there and back me up!

Also, today, there's a Redemption promo over at author Aubrie Dionne's blog Flutey Words --and more chances to enter the giveaways.

Vampire 2.0: Building a Different Vampire World

When you're writing about a long-popular mythology like vampires, it's always a challenge to come up with a different spin on the traditions. Take it too far and readers have trouble buying it. Don't take it far enough, and it's too same-old-same-old.

My July Redemption (Penton Legacy 1) blog tour continues today over at Midtown-Underground, talking about which vampire tropes I kept and which ones I ditched for the Penton Legacy series. Hop on over, and enter for another chance to win a $50 Am...

Catching up with the Redemption Vampires

First, thanks to Pam at Gayle's Book Nook , for giving Redemption a 4.5-star review--she also created a really cool Word Finder puzzle based on the book. Head on over there and play. I love those puzzles, so I had fun with it. Yeah, I might have had an advantage :-)

Also, a huge thanks to Annie at Booked and Loaded for a five-star review of Redemption. This book has been my heart and soul for a couple of years as I've worked to get it sold and out, so the fact that other people are liking it is...

Scene-Snippet Sunday: Absolution (Penton Legacy 2)

It's Sunday, so it's time for a scene snippet! This week, I'm pulling a piece from Absolution, book two in the Penton Legacy series, which will come out on October 9. It's also a bit of a look ahead at book three, Omega, which is Will's story and is coming out in December.

Will Ludlam was turned vampire by his own father when he was 22, so he looks like a college boy. That, plus his reputation as a ladies' man, leaves him pretty low on the respect meter for Army brat Randa Thomas, who was turn...

More Vampires in Alabama

A rare Saturday stop on the blog tour! I'm at Stella-ExLibris'  blog today, talking about how vampires got in Alabama. If you've been following the blog tour, I apologize for the repeat--the blog organizer submitted the wrong blog post, thus the repeat from Thursday.

BUT you can enter there for a shot at the $50 Amazon gift card or an author prize pack. Redemption, first in the series, is $3.99 for Kindle right now at Amazon, and is hanging in the top 20 romance series for Kindle. Let...
