Out Today! Lovely, Dark, and Deep (Collectors, Book 1)

It's release day!

I'm happy to send Lovely, Dark, and Deep out into the world today. Many thanks to all of you who preordered my first foray into non-paranormal territory.

Just a reminder: LDD is being initially released as a Kindle Serial, and even if you don't like serials, it's cheaper to order now at $1.99 (for all eight four-chapter episodes), let the episodes download automatically for the next eight weeks, and then read it. In the spring, it will be released in print and audio as well, b...

Meet Shane Burke and Gillian Campbell of Lovely, Dark, and Deep

Happy Sunday and almost New Year's!

The release day for  Lovely, Dark, and Deep  is TOMORROW! Thanks to all of you who've preordered--that makes a big difference to publishers and important people like that.

So, here's how it works. You purchase LDD for $1.99. Each week, at no additional charge, you'll get a new episode (about 3-4 chapters, or 40 pages) downloaded to your Kindle or the free Kindle app on your computer, tablet or smartphone. There are eight episodes. After the eight-week...

Coming Soon for UK Readers....

I'm over at my Preternatura blog today, talking about Cedar Key, Florida, one of the major settings for Lovely, Dark, and Deep--coming December 30!

In the meantime, rumor has it that the first three Penton Legacy books--Redemption, Absolution, and Omega--will be offered by amazon.uk as a Kindle Daily Deal on Friday, Dec. 27. That means a HUGE discount. So if you have any friends in the UK, pass the word along!

Out Today--Chenoire! Paranormal Shenanigans in Louisiana

I'm excited to welcome a new little one into the world--a novella, that is. Today's the release day for "Chenoire"!

Those of you who've been reading this blog for a while might have seen "Chenoire" in a slightly different form. It was originally written in the Sentinels world, but Susannah stole it from Suzanne, put her own spin on it, expanded it, and now it's a standalone novella.

I'll be touring it during January, so you'll be hearing lots about Zackary Prejean and gator hunting and St. Bern...

Lovely, Dark, and Deep--The Cover is Here!

Lovely, Dark, and Deep, which will begin its run as a Kindle serial on December 30, now has a cover and is up for preorder on Amazon. This is a departure for me, as it's technically a thriller with romantic elements and isn't a paranormal, so I hope you'll give it a try!

More about the book in the days to come, but for now, enjoy the deep, fathomless mysteries of the cover :-)

An Early Look at Lovely, Dark, and Deep

Holy cow, is it almost the middle of December already? That means, for me, no day job between December 21 and January 6. Huzzah!

Thanks to those of you who've preordered  CHENOIRE , a story that my alter ego Susannah stole from me, rewrote, and slapped her name on. I always have loved that story and am very happy that it's getting new life with the new StoryFront imprint. I'd categorize it as a sweet paranormal. It will be officially released on December 18 for Kindle only (sorry, fol...

Cover Reveal and Available for Preorder: Chenoire!

First, if you get a chance, head over to the Happy Tails and Tales blog today to read about some meat (really!) and win a copy of Christmas in Dogtown, a sweet paranormal holiday story set in Louisiana. If you don't have a Kindle and already have a copy of "Dogtown," I'll substitute a book from my ridiculous TBR pile!

FINALLY, I can talk about my not-quite-secret project. Welcome to Chenoire, an isolated community in the wilds of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. It's a short paranormal romance...

Penton Inspiration--The Real Town versus the Vampire Haven

I'm over at the F You Only Knew blog today, talking about the real town of Penton, Alabama, and what parts I used and didn't use. Of course it looks a lot different after the events of Absolution, but I haven't found post-Matthias photos yet!

A quick update on Allegiance, Penton Book 4: the manuscript has been turned in and gone through its revision edits. One more quick edit round and it's off to production. So I hope to have a cover and a firm release date by the first of the year! I love lo...

Will Ludlam Gives Thanks (But Not for Matthias)

If you've come over from the Preternatura blog, sorry for the duplication!

In the world of romance, there are some very awesome contests and awards, and in all but one, an author has to enter in order to become a finalist. That includes the Oscar of the genre world, the Romance Writers of America's RITA award. This isn't a post about that.

If Rita is the Oscar, I'd say the Reviewer's Choice Awards from RT Book Reviews magazine are the Golden Globes. Nominations are made, and the ultimate winner...

Bzzzzzz....This is the Sound of a Frying Brain....

Happy Sunday! A few updates from the land of Susannah...

* Allegiance, book four in the Penton Legacy series, has been turned in and I'm already in revisions this week with my fabulous developmental editor Melody Guy and acquisitions editor JoVon Sotak. I don't have a firm release date yet. It might be May but don't hold me to that. I hope to have a cover by early in the year.

Will this be the last Penton book? Probably not, although I had initially planned for it to be the end, and Allegiance...
