Welcome to "Scene-Snippet Sunday!" Today, I have another snippet from ABSOLUTION, book two in the Penton Legacy series, coming October 9.

In this scene, Glory--a human who is taking refuge in Penton--is talking to vampire lieutenant Mirren Kincaid. He's been trying to fill her in on how the Penton vampire community has been under attack by the Vampire Tribunal and how much danger she's in.

Scene-Snippet Sunday: ABSOLUTION--Busted

It's Sunday, so it's time for a scene snippet. Again this week, here's a snippet from Absolution, book two in the Penton Legacy series. In this scene, Will Ludlam has just arrived at Mirren's house--Mirren's been stuck babysitting Penton's newest citizen, Glory Cummings--and Will's come to meet her and apologize for the abuse Glory suffered at the hands of his father Matthias.

The setup: Glory Cummings, an unvaccinated human, has been rescued, along with Mirren Kincaid, from a long incarceration at the hands of Vampire Tribunal member Matthias Ludlam. Glory was unconscious when she was rescued, and has just gotten her wits about her enough to take a shower. She's met the Penton doctor, Krys Harris, but doesn't know much more about where she is.
