Blurb:

Missing Pieces Series, Book One.

Dallas Muller has everything he never expected he’d have. He owns a successful motorbike mechanic shop in Newcastle, and he’s madly in love with his boyfriend of four years, Justin Keith.

Justin has always struggled to find where he fit in, never realising his true worth or what it means to be loved—until he met Dallas. Living and working together might be too much for some, but Dallas and Justin wouldn’t have it any other way.

When a terrible accident tears their world apart, Justin’s left with no memory of Dallas or their relationship. Trying to put the pieces back together is almost impossible when some pieces are blank and some are missing altogether. Dallas has to let Justin find his own way back to him and just hope that their love will light the way.

Dallas and Justin’s story continues…

Book Two release date: June 26th

Book Three release date: July 24th

You can find my titles at the following:
B&N
Kobo
Apple
Smashwords

Please note that these books have been loaded into Google Play but they are now reviewing my account. I think loading ten books into my catalogue raised a flag? I don’t know… Sorry. They are, like most businesses, currently running on a skeleton staff so it may take some time. If Google Play is your preferred retailer, please keep checking – it may change at any time.

I won’t post a Good Morning Monday post this week because two posts in a week is a bit spammy. I hope everyone is staying well and safe, and I’ll see you all next week with the cover reveal of Missing Pieces Book Two!!

Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ And a Cover and Blurb Reveal!

Pieces of You is Book One of the Missing Pieces trilogy. Each installment should be out one month apart, starting mid to late May.  It’s the story of an established couple, Dallas and Justin, who have their world torn apart when Justin is involved in a serious car accident. It deals with amnesia and traumatic brain injury, and getting to fall in love all over again.

I hope everyone is okay in these crazy times.  Please stay home (if you can) and stay safe! I’ll be offline mostly so I can meet a deadline, so please take care and be kind to yourselves. I’m hoping to be back next week with an update that I smashed my daily word count goals.

Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ Isolation and Two Translations

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! I hope your weekend was filled with peace, chocolate, and books! It was all very quiet here… no family lunches or any of our traditions, but that’s okay.  Isolation for me hasn’t meant a great deal of change. I’ve worked from home for six years and would quite happily never leave my house LOL But I know a lot of people are struggling with the restrictions that a lockdown brings. My son and my husband are very social people, and they’re finding it difficult, whereas my daughter and I are both introverts and have no problem with staying at home. There is a battle of noise v’s silence in my house at the moment and I’m sooooo very grateful for my noise-canceling headphones. LOL There is also an expected timeframe of up to six months (or says the Aus Govt) with my husband’s work being one of the first to close, last to open, and both my kids are seniors at high school trying to navigate online learning for their final year of schooling.  Anyway, it’s definitely interesting times in the Casa de Walker.

I understand that many parts of the world are struggling right now and I’m sending you all the love and positivity right now. May you have peace and good health.

Anyway, from mine to yours…

TRANSLATIONS

I have TWO translations out this week!! The fact my books are translated and released in other languages is sooooo amazing to me!!

The first being Red Dirt Heart in German. Yes, it had already been released (with the amazing help of the beautiful Betti Gefecht) but I have found the complete series a new home with my German publisher, Cursed Verlag.

Book One is out now, Book Two will be out in May, the other books to follow…

The second translation out this week is the Italian translation of Red Dirt Heart Imago, the crossover where the Imago boys take a trip to Sutton Station.

My Italian publisher, the ever-wonderful Triskell Edizioni, is releasing Cuore di Terra Rossa Imago on the 15th April – just a few more days!!

WIP UPDATE:

My current WIP, book 2 in the Missing Pieces series, is at 38K words. It’s slow going because my productivity is almost nil, but I’m taking each day and any word count as a win. I’ve made a tentative release schedule for this series with the first book, Pieces of You, for maybe/possibly/could be May 22nd. I’ll keep you posted when that’s confirmed or changed. For full transparency, I’m hesitant to lock it in because of everything that’s going on right now and if for whatever reason I need to change that, I don’t want people to be disappointed.

I can’t remember if I have shared the cover to Book One so here it is!!  Pieces of You is 45,000 words, and I’ll share the blurb soon!!

Okay that’s it for this week. Please take care of yourself, stay at home if you can, and be kind to yourself and your loved ones, and I’ll see you all back here next week.

Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ Be Kind To You and a Free Book Reminder

Hey folks, I hope you’re holding up okay. The world is a scary place right now and it’s a trying time for everyone. I’ve struggled with the stress and anxiety of it, the information overload of Covid-19 updates and news bulletins, along with the morbid figures and stats that have gone with it. As of last week, I cut that out and limited myself to reading a few instead of inundating myself with it and it has made such a difference for me personally.

There’s still a need to stay informed and responsible, of course. But I think we need to do whatever we can to get through this, and that will be different for each person. We need to be kind to ourselves during this time, and understand we all have different needs and coping mechanisms. Just take a moment to breathe, a moment to disengage. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re living through a global pandemic. Do what you need to take care of yourself and your loved ones.

I’ve found myself reading more, because there’s comfort in knowing the outcome. There’s a guaranteed HEA in romance and that more than the world can offer me right now. Give me the fluff and sweetness, the zero angst and lack of heartbreak, please!!

Autism Awareness Blog Hop 2020

I’d like to thank RJ Scott for inviting me to participate in her Autism Awareness Month Blog Hop!  It’s an honour to be able to partake in spreading some awareness in our wonderful community! The theme this year is food, and it’s so appropriate this year because we’re all in lockdown, or isolating during this global pandemic, and food is a current and constant thing we’re all facing. Cleaning and baking have proven to be therapeutic in helping folks feel productive. And yes, I’ve been baking!

I love all sweet foods, and so far I’ve baked banana bread and orange cake. Which is great, but then I eat it ALL so I’ll be the size of a house by the time this is all over LOL  The recipe I use for the orange cake is below!

Autism Fact:
Autism is a developmental disability. It’s a difference in how your brain works. Autistic people can have good mental health, or experience mental health problems, just like anyone else.

Easy Orange CakePhoto courtesy of Best Recipes Australia
RECIPE

You can find the recipe at BEST RECIPES

I’m not sponsored by or affiliated with the Best Recipes site, I just like some of their recipes and thought you might too!

ORANGE CAKE

125g unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup orange juice

2 eggs

3/4 cup caster sugar

1 1/2 cups self-raising flour sifted

1 tbs orange zest, finely grated

ORANGE ICING

1/3 cup butter softened

1 1/2 cups icing sugar sifted

2 tbs orange juice *to taste

1/2 tsp orange zest, finely grated

METHOD

Combine all cake ingredients and beat thoroughly for 3 minutes.
Pour mixture into a greased 20cm x 10cm loaf or 20cm ring tin.
Bake in the centre of a 180C oven for 30-40 minutes.
Turn onto a wire rack and allow to cool.
Mix orange icing ingredients together in a bowl, then ice cake.

Please follow the blog hop for more awesome posts and all things about food!!

Good Morning Monday ~ RARE20 Update, and The Dichotomy Of Angels is out of KU

Hey folks,

The world is a scary place right now and we could all use some peace. I’ll be taking some time away from social media and the constant news updates this week to try and save my sanity. Luckily we have the world of romance to escape to, where HEA’s are guaranteed. I absolutely understand everyone’s need to take some time out as well.

But first some updates:

RARE 2020 (Edinburgh) has been postponed to July 16th and 17th 2021.

At this point in time, I am still going. It’s a dream trip for me, and I have every intention of being there. I will try my best to transfer all flights and accommodation to make this trip happen. I’m currently waiting on my travel agent to get back to me – they have closed their office due to Covid-19 restrictions here in Aus, so I’m not sure when I will hear anything.

If any reader who has ordered books from me requires a refund, please email me at nrwalker2103@gmail.com   I know it’s an uncertain time for everyone, and there are bound to be disappointed people, but I do believe postponing this event is the right thing to do. As it is right now, Australia is at a level 4 travel ban (we can’t fly out of the country so I couldn’t have gone this year anyway), but giving us another 12 months to ensure the health of safety of everyone involved is a good thing.

I will advise on my confirmed plans when I can. I have a LOT to work out, and appreciate your patience about this.

The audio for Throwing Hearts is almost done. It’s so wonderful!! I can’t wait for you guys to hear it. I estimate the release date to be approx mid-April, though this may change. Will let you guys know if it changes drastically.

WIP update:

My WIP (book two in the Missing Pieces Series) is now at 24K. So. I managed all of 3000-4000 words all week, which is pitiful. I did get one round of edits of Book One in, which was something productive, I guess.

Book One in the Missing Pieces series is called Pieces of You. I still don’t have a release date for it yet. Will update you all when I know. It is book one in a trilogy and I have to plan for all three books, not just one. I was planning to release it to coincide with my UK trip in June, but that is no longer happening. The two books I had intended to write after the trilogy are now on hold and I need to think of something else…. one was a close-proximity-for-medical-reasons trope which feels wrong given everything the world is enduring right now, and the other was an apocalypse style story that also feels kinda wrong. Soooo, I need those characters to be quiet for a while and let some others start to chat.

I’ll work out a new release schedule and will post it asap.

Good Morning Monday ~ This Week…

Hi everyone! Wow, what a week, huh?  The state of the world right now is awful, and heartbreaking. I’m trying to stay upbeat and positive but that’s not easy. I’m incredibly privileged that I am able to work from home, and with that comes the task of keeping my writing going (though it’s not easy to be creative and productive right now) and that also means letting you know what I have coming up this week.

I actually have a lot on this week. And I hate marketing and pimping myself on a good day, and now with the Covid-19 pandemic, it feels… icky. Trying to advertise and sell stuff feels wrong at this time, but like a friend said to me yesterday,  maybe they need it more than ever. And this is true. People do need an escape, even if it’s fictional. So with that in mind, I can tell you this week I have the following:

Tallowwood Audio

The audio goes live on the 24th!

You can find it AUDIBLE

Tallowwood audiobook cover art

The Dichotomy of Angels goes into Wide Distribution

If you use Kindle Unlimited, now is the time to grab TDOA before it goes wide. Please note, it will only be wide for a short time – maybe two to three weeks before it goes back into KU.

It will be available at B&N, Kobo, Apple, and Smashwords.

Throwing Hearts audio and paperback!

This week I’ll also be proofing the audio of Throwing Hearts for release next month. OMG Glen Lloyd is so perfect for these boys!!!

Throwing Hearts is now available in paperback!!! You can find it HERE!

I will be adding it to my signed paperback form when I get my copies, hopefully this week!!

The Italian release of Yanni’s Story

Okay, so that’s it for this week. Oh, and thank you all for the very kind birthday wishes on Saturday. Much needed love right now.  Please everyone stay safe, be kind to others and be kind to yourself. We will get through this. In a time of such anxiety and stress, romance books with a guaranteed HEA are a pretty great place to be.

Until then.
