Thank you all for your patience while Audible tries to get its shit together. Still waiting on them to approve Throwing Hearts audio, and it’s been two months. This is after the first two months of them dicking me around through a different distributor – so this whole disaster with them and the audio of Throwing Hearts has been ongoing since about April/May. To say I’m pissed would be an understatement…
But anywhooooo, onwards and upwards.
My WIP first draft is almost done. I need to fix some stuff before I’d call it a first draft but it is all but complete. Currently at 84K, I’m expecting it to be released sometime early October. I’ll be sharing the title and cover sooooon!

Good Morning Monday ~ Updates on Audios, KU, and my WIP

It’s been a few weeks and I apologise. Life’s been… well, life. I guess. Busy and stressful, blah blah blah. Just like everyone else, I know. And the truth is, I haven’t had a great deal to report. My writing has been sloooooow going and I’ve been struggling with that. But it’s now at 62K words and it should finish around 90K words, I think. It makes me feel so much better now that it’s moving along. I need it keep moving too, because I need to have it finished by the end of the month! LOL
It is a fantasy book, set in medieval-like times but not in our world. The two main characters are fabulous, and they started out trying to kill each other but they get along now

Short and fun little excerpt:
Juss got up from his seat and sat on my lap. I had to pull my chair out a bit so he could fit, but he just sat right down and put his arm around my shoulder, his forehead pressed to mine. “Remember how you said we choose our own family?”
I nodded.
“Well, I’ve chosen mine.” He kissed me soundly. Then he picked up my fork and stabbed some meat and brought it to my lips. “Open wide.”
I laughed and he shoved the fork in my mouth. “You’re gonna feed me?” I asked.
“For all the times you helped me, now it’s your turn.”
He continued to feed me until my plate was empty and he even had some more of his own. It was fun and cute, we laughed a lot, and it had been far too long since we’d done anything fun and cute. The fact that he punctuated every forkful with a kiss made it even better.
He put the fork down and turned his full attention to me. “You know,” he said with a kiss. “I slept a lot today, so I’m not too tired.”
I chuckled because I was pretty sure I knew where he was going with this. “Is that so?”
He kissed me again, a little softer, more playful. “And we did get those test results back.”
I hummed, not too sure if he was up for anything rigorous. “You’re supposed to be on bed rest.”
He smiled. “So take me to bed.”
