Blurb:

A fun and sexy romance where the kiln isn’t the only thing that’s scorching hot.

Leo Secombe loves his life, and he’s convinced himself he’s happy to be single. In his spare time, he keeps himself busy at a local LGBTQ centre that pairs a younger person with a community elder to help them feel included in today’s rainbow family. Leo and Clyde have been buddies for a few years now, and signing up for a pottery class seems like fun.

Merrick Bowman has been so focused on getting his pottery business up and running that he’s forgotten how to date. How to live, even. But when a young, bubbly Leo and an older, grumpy Clyde walk through his door, Merrick has no idea how much Leo is about to centre his world.

Throwing clay has been Merrick’s entire life, but Leo’s about to change all that. Maybe Merrick’s ready to throw caution to the wind. And maybe he’s ready to finally throw his heart on the line.

Throwing Hearts is 55,000-words.

Just so you know, there’ll be no Good Morning Monday post tomorrow.  I wish everyone peace and good health as the world faces the Convid-19 crisis. Take care of each other and be kind to yourself.  Until next week…

Good Morning Monday ~ Throwing Hearts Blurb and Release Date

March is here already!! I cannot believe how fast that came around. And what better to celebrate March than with a new release! I can’t wait for everyone to meet Merrick and Leo. Their story is fun, sweet and sexy, and it’s a swoony romance. I think the world could do with some cavity-inducing sweetness and heart-eyes romance right now, and I’m super excited for everyone to meet these two.

Good Morning Monday ~ This Week’s Update

Just a quick post this Monday.  I have a super busy week coming up, lots of real-life stuff to deal with but I’m still aiming to meet my daily word count goals.  My WIP is at 22K words and I’d like to see it reach 32K by the end of the week even though I’m likely to get first-round edits as well

February is already cruising along nicely! And I’m very happy to say we’ve finally had some decent rain where I live. We’ve been in a severe drought for years but we have had actual RAIN!  The sound of it on my roof makes me happy!

Good Morning Monday ~ What’s New in February!

Was January not the longest month everrrrrrr? But, by the gods, we made it! February is finally here!  I can finally say that my WIP is finished and currently in my editor’s inbox. It’s called Throwing Hearts, and it’s 54K words of fluff and romance. There’s zero angst, zero conflict, lots of sexual tension, and lots of touchy-feely feels and love. I’ll be sharing the cover next week, so stay tuned!

This week my kids go back to school (after six weeks off omg) and so begins research for my new book. And guess what? I’m thinking it’s going to be a series!! A trilogy to be more exact. I’m still trying to work out details, and because I’m allergic to any kind of planning, this isn’t easy LOL  I’m keeping mum about it for now, until I get more fleshed out and actual words on paper. It will be set in Australia and it’s not a trope I’ve done before. It is a romance but there will be angst and heartbreak and… I’m pretty sure it will be all in one character’s POV.  Like my Red Dirt books, my Spencer Cohen books, and Thomas Elkin… all books are in the main character’s voice. UNLESS the characters decide to change that, idk. LOL

I’m excited to get started on this project! There’s always something wonderful and exciting and daunting to begin new things!

I got All-Time Fave Author of 2019 which is just ridiculous, and amazing, and a little humbling, not gonna lie. Apparently that puts me in the running for Hall of Fame next year, which is even more ridiculous and amazing. LOL

Tallowwood took a clean sweep, I think, with 1st in all three categories. The surprise for me was SIR taking 1st in the BDSM category. Like wow. LOL It still blows my mind that anyone reads my books at all, so this is all a bit of a mindfuck tbh. LOL

Thank you to everyone who nominated and voted!! And a HUGE thank you to everyone who has bought, read, and reviewed my books. I’ve been writing for almost a decade now and it still blows my mind that anyone wants to read my words, and saying thank you seems grossly inadequate. But thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

AUDIO NEWS:

The audio of SIR is due out any day! It’s been loaded into the system and we’re completely at the hands of the ACX/Audible gods.  Please spare a thought for poor Nick Russo, the amazing narrator, whose only instructions for Sig’s accent was “a touch British, mostly not.”  LOL  The character Sig spent his first 16 years living in 14 different countries, and he’s lived most of his adult life in the US and Italy. So this accent was never going to be easy. But Nick just NAILS it!!

I will only have the buy link when it goes live, but you can keep an eye out at my AUDIBLE AUTHOR PAGE.

SIR won first place in the BDSM-Kink category in the M/M awards, so if you’ve been curious, this audio might be for you!

WIP UPDATE:

I now have a title to share with you!  Throwing Hearts is currently at 33K words and probably has 20K to go. I need to finish it before February, so I will be mostly off social media until I can get the first draft done. Throwing Hearts is a sweet and fluffy romance, a bit sexy, and a lot of fun. Will be showing off the cover soon, so stay tuned!!

Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ Six Free Books!

What could possibly better than starting a new year, a new decade, with six free books?? Five other very awesome, talented (and generous) authors are giving away a book each! I know it’s not winter here in Australia, but it is for five out of six authors in the giveaway LOL

Lane Hayes, Annabelle Jacobs, VL Locey, Garrett Leigh, RJ Scott, and myself, are all involved but it’s only until the 10th so be quick!

All you need to do is go to this link:
BOOK GIVEAWAY

SPECIAL THANKS

I’ve had a lot of messages and emails asking if I’m safe from the terrible bushfires that are ripping through Australia right now. Yes, I am, thank you! My region has some smaller fires that are all contained at present, though that could change. But nothing like what other areas are experiencing. These are truly catastrophic fires which have decimated much of our very unique wildlife.

But thank you all for reaching out to ask. My family and I are all safe. Fingers crossed we get rain and a lot of it!

WIP UPDATE

Still slow going, but now at 15K words. I need to finish it this month, so I really need a whole lot more words. But life should return to normal (ish) this week so hopefully I can get some writing done. Still not sure on a title yet either though I’m sure that will come later. I’m expecting it to be around 50K words. It’s a sweet and cute romance, set in Brisbane, Australia, and the two main characters are Leo and Merrick.  I can’t wait for you all to meet them!

I have so many stories I *want* to write after this one haha but I just need to focus and get it done

Good Morning Monday ~ Last Monday Post of 2019!

And what does 2020 look like for me?

Another year done, and let’s be honest, 2019 has been a rough one. As a whole though, the last decade has been very good to me. In the last ten years, I began writing, then writing full-time, and that is an honour and a privilege. I got to travel the world and meet online friends who became real-life friends. I got to see my kids grow into young adults, and I accepted parts of myself I didn’t even know needed accepting. There have also been some hurdles, but we survived, and I’m gonna do my best to make 2020 the best year yet!!

So far, I have six books planned, seven audios (maybe eight), and possibly six translations. That’s kinda busy LOL.

My releases for books will look a bit like this:

March

April

June

August

October

December

Though that may change, given I’ll be travelling for four weeks in June/July.  I’m currently writing my March release book, and real-life has utterly kicked my arse with kids and school, visitors, and Christmas etc. So the going is slow. I’m going to knuckle down this week and try for some big word counts. Given both kids AND my husband are on holidays, it’s probably not likely but I’m sure gonna try.

The Audio Releases schedule is, at this point, any one’s guess. What I can tell you is that SIR is done and will be uploaded into ACX asap, and Tallowwood is scheduled to be done really soon. I can assume SIR will be out January, and Tallowwood possibly February. The other audios scheduled to be done (so far) are The Hate You Drink, Private Charter, Imago and Imagines. I’m super excited to announce Antony Ferguson will be narrating these.

If I can wrangle any new Australian-based books into audio in 2020 that aren’t released yet, I’ll be asking Glenn Lloyd to do those.

I have a lot happening in my personal life this coming year as well. Suffice to say, I’ll need to be focused on my work to see this schedule into fruition. That may mean less time on social media, but these Good Morning Monday posts should still happen. Forgive me if I miss one or two

BLURB:

Nathaniel and Chasan are no ordinary angels.

Destiny chose them to be twin flames, fated mates. But Nathaniel has avoided Chasan for nearly a thousand years.

When sent to Earth on a mission to live and work together, Nathaniel comes face-to-face with his destiny. Short-tempered, petulant, and grumpy, he hates the idea of being fated to anyone and has chosen an existence of isolation rather than spending time with the calm, kind, and serene Chasan.
But now he has no choice.

One is fire, the other is air; a true dichotomy of angels. Together they will be ignited, or they will be extinguished. This assignment will seal their fate either way.

* * *

85,000 words. A sometimes-funny, sometimes-serious story about love, destiny, and other heavenly disasters.
