Book Signing Follow-up Part II April 27th

My second signing of my historical, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE, took place at Hastings Books, Music & Videos at the Fairview Avenue store in Boise, Idaho. This is the biggest and busiest of three Hastings stores in Idaho's state capitol. This turned out to be an excellent signing (more to what I am use to).

Again met lots of fine people, answered lots of questions re: my niece, Katrina Hughes Brennan's portrait of my main character, Macha, which was used for the book cover, and signed many copies of my book. Also met a well-known movie actor who was visiting a relative in town. He asked me not to mention his name as he wanted to keep a low-profile. He asked me about the writing business as he considered me a fellow artist. Nice compliment.

Book Manager, Myranda, said I did an "awesome job" and would like me to return in the Fall for an encore. I want to thank her and the rest of the Hastings associates for their support in making this signing a positive experience.

Book Signing Follow-up Part I April 26th

Spent Friday and Saturday in the Boise, Idaho area, conducting two book signings of my historical, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE. The first one was at Hastings Books, Music & Videos in Meridian, a suburb of Boise. Met a lot of fine people, gave out lots of flyers and signed copies of my book. The traffic was not as heavy as I had been use to from my past signings (I guess I have been getting spoiled), but still it was a good experience. There are a lot of good people here.

I want to thank Book Manager, Trina, and all the Hastings associates for their support.

Book Signing Follow-up @ Hastings April 20th

Book Signing Follow-up Part II. I spent a good part of Saturday, April 20th @ Hastings Books, Music & Videos in Richland, Washington. This is part of the Tri-Cities area where the Columbia, Snake and Yakima Rivers converged into the massive Columbia, nice area, albeit windy. Another good signing. Met lots of good people, handed out flyers and signed several copies of my historical, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE. The comment from Book Associate, Sara, "No one has sold as many copies at this store like you have." I'll take that compliment any time.

I want to thank all the associates who made this possible, especially, Sara. I am sending the store manager a card in which I list all the people that were so helpful.

Next weekend, I will be down in Boise, Idaho, the state Capitol, for two signings. Thank you for your support.

Book Signing Follow-up @ Hastings April 19th

Book Signing Follow-up, Part I. First of all, I must be getting spoiled with all the great book signings I have experienced, because although my two most recent ones were very good, they did not shatter any records. Nevertheless, management at both Hastings Stores were very pleased with my results.

On Friday, April 19th, I was at Hastings Books, Music & Videos, Couer d'Alene, Idaho, which is only a short drive from where I live. Been to this store before and have always met good people and this was certainly no exception. Handed out lots of flyers and signed a number of copies. Again, management was very accomodating and pleased with my results.

I want to thank Book Manager, Cathy, and Associate, Simone for all their help.

Book Signing Follow-up Part II April 13th

BOOK SIGNING FOLLOW-UP PART II.

After staying overnight in Walla Walla, WA, I traveled to Hastings Books, Music & Videos in Wenatchee, Washington (heart of Washington's famous apple country) for another signing, April 13th. To my surprise this turned out to be another outstanding event. I had previously signed there last November and again hoped to do equally as well. Like Walla Walla this far exceeded my expectations. Met lots of interesting people, handed out flyers and many complimented the portrait of Macha painted by my niece Katrina Hughes Brennan. Of course, I signed many copies of THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE.

Needless to say, management was very pleased. I kept hearing the word, "awesome" over again.

I want to thank Book Manager, Martha, and associates Tara and Lydia, for assisting me in this successful event.

Book Signing Follow-up Part I April 12th

BOOK SIGNING FOLLOW-UP PART I.

I spent Friday, April 12th @ Hastings Books, Music & Videos in Walla Walla, Washington and experienced another great book signing. In fact, it was outstanding! I had signed here last September and did very well and had hope to match it the same this time. Instead, I far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was busy speaking to people, handing out flyers and signing copies. Met a wide variety of people, who had one central interest--they like historical fiction. I gladly accomodated their interests. To say the least, management was pleased with my efforts and asked that I return once again, this time in the Fall.

I want to thank Book Manager, Amanda; associate, Christopher; and Store Manager, Travis Bosworth, for assisting me in making this a highly successful event.

Book Signing Follow-up Part II

I conducted a very successful book signing for my historical, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE, @ Hastings Books,Music & Videos, Saturday, April 6. This is a college town, home of the University of Idaho. Eight miles due west on the same highway, is the town of Pullman and the main campus of Washington State University. Hastings is "the only game in town" for both communities and the traffic was very heavy. It seemed that every person who entered the store, regardless of age, was wearing a college jacket from U. Idaho, Washington State, Gonzaga (I should have worn mine and would have fitted in) Eastern Washington or Oregon. People from all walks of life, including students and professors bought copies of my novel. The number of copies The number of copies I signed went far and above all my expectations. The store manager was so pleased, he asked me to return in October for another signing.

I want to thank store manager, Michael, and book associate, Esme (she is working on her Masters in Creative Writing) and the rest of the Hastings Associates for assisting me in making this signing a resounding success!

Book Signing Follow-up Part I

Another good book signing. This one took place 040513 @ Hastings Books, Music & Videos, Shadle Park, Spokane, Washington. I signed here back in November, Thanksgiving Weekend and broke the store record for most sales by a local author. I didn't break any records this time, but still signed more copies than I expected. Met lots of good people again, gave out flyers and received compliments on the book cover portrait painted by my niece, Katrina Hughes Brennan. The book manager was very pleased, and said I was the store's best bookseller and to return anytime. I want to thank Book Manager, John Klapp, and the rest of the Hastings Associates for assisting me in another successful book signing.

(In the next segment I will discuss my signing in Moscow, Idaho).
