Richer Relationships: Make it a Date – 13 Feb 2013
Join me at 7-8pm UK time on 13 Feb on the eve of Valentines Day for a special free online talk on ‘All things Relationship’.
This special free online talk / seminar is aimed to look beyond the often superficial and overly commercial focus on Valentines Day to look at relationships more widely. We’ll start by looking at the most important relationship that you have of all; your relationship with your self.

Soul Trader named among best business books
I’m very chuffed that Real Business magazine – which was the UK’s first of it’s kind -has included my new book Soul Trader Putting the Heart Back into Your Business in its review of top business books for start up your own businesses.
I was especially touched their editor Matthew Rock’s lovely line that it “this could become a well-thumbed classic”. I’d certainly be deeply thrilled if it becomes seen in that light.
You can read the review right here on Real Business’ website. It’s certainly well worth a read if your starting a business – and their website has lots of information, articles and insight if you’re starting or growing a business so it’s worth visiting the site if you haven’t discovered it already.

Politics to pastry chef: day in the life of coach
I’m just writing this rather swiftly as I prepare for another day coaching people.
Today is – like many – a varied and exciting one. Those I’ll be coaching today include a budding politician seeking office through to a chef /baker considering to set up their own business.
On the one hand their aspirations seem very far apart but on the other hand there is is a huge amount of synergy between them. Both will need to plan, prepare, raise their game, gather the right team, seek the right support. It will require a great deal of self belief, focus, motivation. Both will need to inspire, enchant and serve others.
One of the other things that both have in common is that both seek to do things anew – both seek to do things in a way which is far more people-friendly, fresh, savoury, sustainable. Both are wanting to really do what they do holistcally and mindfully.
As my friend – on my t-shirt would put it both will need to be the change that they wish to see in the world. Both will need to embody it personally and professionally and build from there.
In many ways both are examples of the ‘Soul Traders’ those who wish to build their business from their heart, passions and in a way that serves others.
The day is rounded of by a with a former footballer who runs a sports related business which has lots of promise. So we’ll be talking some sporting and business tactics too.He too like the others is working from the heart and soul as he’s also involved in community initiatives and is passionate about family, encouraging young people and following one’s own path.
I better get to work.

Courage …. Soul Trader Principle 3

Courage is often necessary in life. Not just in being your own boss/starting a business, but in many areas of career, home life, personal life. So this video may chime with you whatever your circumstances. But when if you are your own boss – or thinking about it – all sorts of issues and challenges may emerge which require strength of character.

Materialism vs Spiritualism …. need that be?
Last week I was interviewed by the lovely ladies over at Wired for Success TV on the topics of money, meaning, finding yourself.

Open Heart Surgery Update
A huge thanks to the 100+ of you booked to attend tonight’s Open Heart Surgery talk with myself in central London hosted by London Spirituality Movement..
Sadly due to the severe -and /or stunningly beautiful – weather conditions (depending how you see it ) we’ve had to postpone tonight’s event.
The great news is that we’ll be announcing a new date soon and we’ll hopefully be running the event in a larger venue so that we can make even more spaces available as the demand was very high. The details will be on my site and the London Spirituality Movement site once arranged in the next few weeks so watch this space.
Meanwhile, speaking of snow. The irony is that the snow has something of the silence yet profound impact of tonights talk. Watching falling snow can be a little like meditation.
