Tuesday Tales - Candy
Hello! It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

It's time to have more zombie fun! Today we have another excerpt from my LGBTQ zom-rom-com Two Guys Walk Into an Apocalypse 4 - Zombies, Zendra, and Ziegfeld Follies.
This story contains crude language, gore because of the darn zombies, and gay sexual situations. If that offends now would be the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales offering. Our word prompt for the week is "Candy".
Don`t forget to visit the other talented Tuesday Tales authors. Thanks for stopping by!

As it turns out Gordon missed the trip to the outlying areas. Seems he picked up the bug that Justine and Eden were battling. My hubby was lying abed with a low-grade fever as I threw a change of clothes into a small backpack.
"I can go," he protested. I turned my head to look at his ashen face.
"Babe, you`re dashing to the outhouse every fifteen minutes," I said. He mumbled and rolled to his side. He was such a poor patient. "I highly doubt Joe and Tink want to deal with that. Just stay in bed and drink lots of fluid. Mom will be here shortly to take Jules until you`re better."
"I can watch my own son," he grumbled. I smiled at his muscular back then zipped my backpack shut.
"Of course you can, but Mom likes to feel that she`s helping." I lifted a leather belt from the bed and buckled it around my hips. My favorite Smith & Wesson handgun rested all snug and warm in the holster. I had cleaned it just last night when Gordon began trotting to the potty at a steady rate. Call it a hunch…
"Your mother is a doter," Gordon huffed into his pillow.
"Yes she is and you'll be happy for all that doting when she heaps it on you. Now stop being so grumpy." I slid a large Bowie knife into a leather sheath strapped to my left thigh. My man said something muffled by the pillow, so I padded over to the bed and sat down behind him."If only we had some chicken. She makes the best chicken soup. Try not to be too ugly, okay?"
He muttered and nodded his head. I bent over to drop a kiss to his head. His hair was damp and lank.
"Don`t forget about the Spring Fling," he said. I promised him that I would be back in time to flounce, prance, and sing. "I mean it. Make sure you come back to sing. Bring back some candy."
"I will." A knock interrupted us. I whispered my love for him beside his warm ear then went to greet my mother at the door.

Holly J. Gill All That We Are Release Blitz

Adult Contemporary Romance#lovestory #adult #sexy

Blurb
Holly knows that sitting behind her computer isn’t going to bring one of her romance heroes to life. And despite her matchmaking friend’s attempts, she’s still lonely, looking for her Mr. Perfect. Fairytales happen, right?
As a bestselling author, Ashton Noir doesn’t need anyone or anything in his life other than his imagination. That is until he comes across Holly’s Promotional Services’ website. Further exposure for his books can’t hurt.
Communicating through the Internet and then phone calls, professional interests turn personal. Realising they lack trust and confidence in different ways, can they have a future as a couple? Or are their dreams forever going to be their safe haven?

Excerpt
Holly read through the material, thinking of promotional tac-tics, banners, teasers, etc., one file was full of teasers, brilliant for her to work with and design.
Shocked, she was still trying to figure out why on earth he’d turned to her for help, when he could go massive, go for the larger blogs and networking sites. Her little site was nothing compared to the larger companies he could have chosen. Why the heck did he pick me? Surely he’s after something else!
She popped back to their messages and found a reply.
Before she replied to his original message, she had to ask a question.
Are you really Dean McClough?
She watched him typing.
Yes, yes I am, I am the real man himself, the man behind Jordan Hale, mastering and enjoying the female form.
Her jaw dropped. Holy crap! She was starstruck. A large lump filled her throat; unsure how the hell she could continue the conversation without him thinking she was a freak.
Oh!
He typed.
Are you okay?
Yes…I cannot believe I am talking to Dean McClough, have you anything to prove you really are him? Sorry, but I cannot believe it is really him, you are him, my words are messed up…lol.
She hit send not having a clue how he’d react or what he planned to show her to prove he was him.
Okay…just give me one second…would my office and pictures on my wall do the job? Never done this before…lol
Yes, that is fine…I think!
She waited a few seconds, to see a picture uploading. The picture arrived, and there was his office, laptop, notes, his books, pens, pictures framed on the wall of his front covers, and to finalize, their conversation on his laptop. Stunned, speechless… He was a typical author, notes and research all over the place. She laughed and then sucked in a deep breath, releasing it slowly. She shook her head, going through so many emotions, her tummy tied in knots, not believing a bestseller was on his laptop talking to her. It didn’t make sense.
He typed.
Was that okay?
Yes, thank you, just shocked that you’re talking to me…why?

What Who Writes is Reading

I had the honor to be invited to take part in Bike Book Review's What Who Writes is Reading series this week! Any time I can chat about some of the wonderful LGBT authors I read I'm thrilled to do so. I truly believe that spreading the word about my fellow authors and helping to band together with those scribes is the only way we, as authors, can weather the storm the publishing world seems to be caught in at the moment. Besides, these authors and books are amazing!
So, if you're interested in finding out who I'm chatting about follow the link to visit Bike Book's awesome blog. I'll give you a hint-the authors I'm fangirling over write M/M hockey romance and shifter books. I know, you're just shocked right? *winks*

Tuesday Tales - Pencil
Hello! It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

"I have a sign-up sheet," Gordon said. I shook off the lazy doldrums that a belly filled with squirrel stew and a hot fire had brought about. My sight jackknifed to my husband. "You knew it was coming, Paul."
"Did you sign up?" I asked although I knew that he had. Gordon had been shoved into the role of reluctant leader so of course he had penciled his name onto the sheet. My stew flipped over in my gut as if the squirrel were still alive. He nodded as his gaze roamed from me to Jules. Our son was among the other Inuit children, running a toy truck that was missing a wheel over the plank flooring. I sucked in a long breath then exhaled through my nose. "When are you planning on leaving?"
"The day after tomorrow," Gordon sighed then folded his arms on the table. "We need more medications. We have small kids here and no antibiotics left. Also we are growing critically short on—"
I held up a hand. "You don`t have to list our shortages. I'm aware. I hate these scavenging expeditions." It was a terrible feeling to watch the man you love leave and not know if you would ever see him again. How military spouses did it before the world crumbled is simply beyond me.
Gordon gave me a weak smile. "I know you do, but it has to be done. We'll be fine. Joe knows several small towns within a two-day ride. We'll be back before you can miss me."
"Impossible," I whispered then leaned over to peck his bearded cheek. "You do recall that I have the Spring Fling talent show planned for next Sunday after service. If you don`t come back to see me in it, I will be incredibly put out with you."
Gordon chuckled softly. "As if I would miss that," he said then pecked my lips.
