NYCC Commission List is Open!

October is right there and soon we will be in the Big Apple, for one more New York Comicon. This year, I’ll be sharing a nice Artist Alley table with my friend Gustavo Duarte.

Resurrection Man #7 cover art for charity auction!

Few months ago, we had the chance to auction a Batman drawing for the NGO Projet Street Dog Adorers  (Projeto Adoradores de Vira-Latas, in Portuguese), and we raised some important money for them.

This shelter needs help once again, and donations are very important, so,this time, I’ve decided to auction my Resurrection Man covers, starting by this one below, done for issue #07.

About the PSDA Shelter:

The PSDA is a shelter where rescued animals live until they find a second chance. Currently they have almost 250 animals, including dogs and cats, puppies and adults. The primary mission of  the Project is to help the animals that roam the streets neglected. They are based in Viamão, a city really close of Porto Alegre, where i live, and its ran by Paula Correa, the founder of the NGO, who says, to keep the project, they have the sympathy of good people.

I have nothing but admiration for Paula. She makes an amazing work using the social networks, wich help her find home to the animals, partners to emergency rescues and donaters to paid veterinarians and all shelter’s costs.

You can help them too, bid and spread it arround!

Next Stop: San Diego Comicon!

Paris was a great show! Have met many cool people, so thanks a lot everybody woh passed by the Artist Alle, to the sunny San Diego, to the biggest entertainment show of the world. How cool is that?

Once again, I’ll be sharing the booth #1320-1322 with the long time pals Fabio Moon, Gabriel Bá, Murilo Martins, Jill Thompson, Becky Cloonan, Cliff Chiang and my American Vampire pal, Scott Snyder.

I’ll have some goodies to sell over there, including graphic novels and limited prints! Check them out below!

Counting days to Paris Comicon!

Can’t tell how excited I am to finally visit Paris. Glad that this oppirtunity came trough the cool fellas from Paris Comicon. I’ve always appreciated the French comic albuns (and European, in general) and have nothing but the deepest respect for the French creators and will be amazing knowing face to face my French fans.

For this show, I’ll have plenty of activities according to my schedule:

Lançamento TUNE 8 – Parte 2 em Porto Alegre!

Caros! Desculpem o quase abandono do blog mas os dias estão muito corridos, por contada preparação para a maratona de convenções que vem por aí. A primeira delas, é aqui mesmo, em Porto Alegre, onde participarei da Multiverso Comic-Con.

O evento tem convidados ilustríssimos como os colegas Eddy Barrows, Sidney Gusman e mestre argentino Eduardo Risso, entre muitos outros grandes nomes das HQs.

Eu participarei  de algumas mesas, e sessões de autógrafos, além de dividir estande com os chapas Renato Guedes, Eduardo Medeiros, Gustavo Duarte e Marcelo Braga, em nosso estande White Russian Society.  É lá que estarei fazendo o lançamento da minha nova revista TUNE 8 – Parte 2, que conclui a primeira temporada da história originalmente publicada pelo portal IG. Esta edição traz ainda uma história inédita de 10 páginas, exclusiva desta edição.

Também terei a venda exemplares nacionais de  Mondo Urbano (com Eduardo Medeiros e Mateus Santolouco) e Vampiro Americano – Vol 1 (com Scott Snyder e Stephen King)  e 9 modelos de posters exclusivos, numerados e autografados.

Open for commissions!

After a long time working in a really busy schedule, things are normal again.  Since i have been receiving a lot of messages asking for commissions (specially for my next events Paris and San Diego), I’ve decided to open small lists for these shows: 8 pieces per show!

Palestra na QuantaCon

Caros! Este final de semana, 21 e 22 de abril, estarei na QuantaCon, evento organizado pelos queridos amigos Marcelo Campos e Rafael Coutinho que acontecem nas sedes da Quanta Academia de Artes, em São Paulo.

Participarei com um bate papo chamado “O Melhor dos Dois Mundos – Entre Super-Heróis e o Autoral” mediado pelo grande Gabriel Bá.

A idéia é justamente discutir e entender as diferenças desses dois tipos de quadrinhos, e maneiras de aproximar estes públicos.

A conversa acontece na Casa 1 da Quanta (R. Dr. José de Queirós Aranha, 246 – Vila Mariana), das 19h as 21h.

Além disso, o estande White Russian Society estará presente, com Gustavo Duarte, Eduardo Medeiros e eu, vendendo posters e nossos mais recentes quadrinhos!

5 Indicações ao Troféu HQ Mix

O Troféu HQ Mix, principal premiação dos quadrinhos brasileiros, acabou de divulgar a cédula oficial de indicados e tive a honra de ser lembrado individualmente em duas importantes categorias: Desenhista Nacional e Destaque Internacional.  Além disso, minha série autoral Tune 8, também foi indicada como Edição Especial Nacional, Publicação Independente de Autor e Web Quadrinhos.

Batman art for charity auction!

For a "dog guy" like me,  is heartbreaking to see the  many dogs, left away, living on the streets here in Brazil. Thinking about them, i have been helping, the NGO Projet Street Dog Adorers  (Projeto Adoradores de Vira-Latas, in Portuguese) every time I can.
