I am so very excited to reveal my BRAND NEW SERIES!!
As we say goodbye to sun, sand and surf with the completion of the Summer and Paradise series, it now comes a time when I am able to introduce you all to a whole new world, with new characters, new dramas and of course new romance. The Kiss Series is unlike anything I have ever written before and I am SO ready to explore some of the darker elements of the human spirit and delve into a New Adult Story set yet again in a mythical Australian setting.
Not to be mistaken this is in no way a dark romance, it is merely focused on a deeply romantic story of two people who have been brought together despite who they are and where they have come from. Housekeeping
Oh boy...
I am on he mend, you might have seen the odd sporadic post about my fever fuelled updates desperately trying to shake my sickness before my holidays. I have been down and out and wallowing in a cocoon of misery, but I am happy to say I am feeling much better. I'm still not 100% but I am hopeful that some much needed sunshine will inject some life in to me.
It really has been a difficult week that has had me running around trying to put in place all the things I needed to do before I fly out TODAY for a month. I'll be taking a long extended holiday with Mr D and having some much needed R&R. For the past few years most of my travels have been either work related or of a bookish nature, so this will be our first break in a long time that involves nothing more than being just tourists and I can't wait!
So like a panic stricken mother leaving her new born with a a teenage babysitter I aim to leave some emergency numbers on the fridge and give you all a general rundown on what this all means.
Firstly, check it!
I couldn't think of a better way to officially start my holidays than to have Paradise City featured as a part of the Rising Stars of Romance on iBooks Australia and New Zealand. I am completely chuffed to be recognised among many a seriously epic authors.

Secondly, due to having been unwell the past two weeks I have unfortunately had to push back the date for the Onslow Boy Boxed Set until I return home (October). It was the one thing that I could change in order to make life a little easier as I had to focus on the final edits of Paradise Road. The Boxed Set will be available in ebook and Paperback it will just be released a little later.
With this one delay comes great news with Paradise Road and Forever Summer on schedule for release November and December this year. Things are going to be crazy busy when I get back and there is lots to look forward to.

My take on my NEW Paradise covers.
Paradise will never be the same.
Let me start off by saying, don’t be fooled; I am a creature of habit and I am not a huge fan of change. Change is scary, change is pushing the comfort zone. Which makes this reveal even more meaningful by the fact that this change is something I fully embrace. I have been working behind the scenes with my publisher, Hachette, Australia, on something really exciting and I am finally at a stage where I can reveal the NEW look Paradise series, and this time it’s all about the boys!

Now the fear is not lost on me; I, too, am an avid reader and bookish girl who has also been hit with the despair and dismay at a publisher changing cover mid-series of my favourite authors, but you guys … I LOVE them and I wanted this to happen. Myself and Hachette wanted to honour the story by adding edge and complexity.We listened to the readers who were all saying the book was sexier than the original covers. The covers were actually developed before the story was even written and now given the chance to have covers that accurately portray the feeling of the series and have them stand apart from all I have done, I am so excited about it.
Change is good.Change is what I wanted.And I am thankful that Hachette share and support my vision for this series.
So to hit some burning questions on the head.
Why the new covers?
There are many reasons, but first and foremost they have to reflect and be true to the story. We wanted something edgier and less sunshiney to differentiate from the Summer series.
Will I be able to purchase Paradise City with the new look in paperback?I don’t know. Publishing is a business and updating paperbacks that have already been deployed to stores is not a cost effective thing to do. Hopefully this will happen in time but at this stage I am not sure what will happen, it is still very early.
Will Paradise Road paperbacks be released in the new or old cover?
Paradise Road will hit the shelves and be available November 22nd, and it will be printed with the new cover. I know this is a blow for those who won’t have matching books, and being a book lover and reader I am truly sorry over the frustration. But please know that I am one hundred percent supportive of the new look, and trust me in saying that Paradise Road is going to look stunning in your hands and on the shelf.
Am I going mad, wasn’t Paradise Road coming out in September?
You are not going mad, Paradise Road was scheduled for a September release but again the thought was to make it an Aussie summer release which suited me personally with being overseas in September. Again, I am sorry for the delay, but it does mean that Paradise Road will release in November and Forever Summer will release in December, so the year is ending with a bang!

Let me start off by saying, don’t be fooled; I am a creature of habit and I am not a huge fan of change. Change is scary, change is pushing the comfort zone. Which makes this reveal even more meaningful by the fact that this change is something I fully embrace. I have been working behind the scenes with my publisher, Hachette, Australia, on something really exciting and I am finally at a stage where I can reveal the NEW look Paradise series, and this time it’s all about the boys!
They are clean and clear and hot as hell! Perfectly reflecting the love for sexy delinquent surfer Luke Ballantine in Paradise City and brooding bar owner Dean Saville in ParadiseRoad.

iBooks Best Books of May
She's like so zen right now…
Imagine if you will, me sitting in the lotus position, listening to wind chimes and humming with deep concentration.
Or reality?
I am sitting in my office in my PJ's, with my foot heater, drinking a strawberry Big M. Either way I am very calm, and happy.
Mainly because I have just submitted my eighth book to my publisher and now I am in the weird space of euphoria and disbelief.
Paradise Road...SUBMITTED!
There's a few things that lead up to these moments, for me, it's about meeting deadlines, daily word counts, late nights, stress, and a love-hate moments filled with immense excitement at seeing that light at the end of the tunnel.
With every completion of a book is usually followed by a post release meltdown where I'm coming down from riding high from achieving the amazing, from actually finishing the damn book. But it's not about typing 'The End' and then pouring an expensive glass of champagne and lighting a cigarette in satisfaction while sitting back in my chair and basking in my glory while blowing smoke rings, and smiling smugly to myself. Not quite. Finishing a book will usually have me sitting in my chair, starring at my computer screen for a long time in disbelief. I will then venture to the lounge room to tell Mick I have finished my book, where he will say 'Well done!' as I zombie shuffle to the fridge and pop a can of Pepsi Max and silently wonder 'What now?'
This will last for a few days, you will be happy and riding on a high of achievement to some degree, but then comes the post release black mood meltdown where you will question EVERY thing. This subsides and then you ride the highs of release day excitement, bask in the glory of seeing people sharing and being excited about your new book, and then inevitably comes the post release back mood.
Again, what goes up must come down (stupid gravity) and then through all the late nights catch up with you, you have pressed publish and it's out in the world…now, it's time to do it all again.
This isn't me having a whinge…no-no-no. This is just what happens during my process, like clockwork, EVERY book it really is quite fascinating. It's also of no wonder when you are being creative uses so much brain power that over a long period of time when I am working on a book for three months that something has to give.
But now, in between projects I am so-so happy. And as you recognise the feeling for what it is, you always think 'How long will this last?' So, while it's here, I am going to enjoy every minute of it! I have music pumping as I draw up and plan out my future schedule and work on secret projects…*jazz hands* In such a happy place! Speaking of, another reason for my walking on sunshine mind set is largely due to Paradise City being selected as one of iBooks Best Books of May.
