The Blue Tower manuscript is getting closer.

I just submitted The Blue Tower manuscript to my editor. The process generally takes about three weeks and I hand it off to a reader for another week before it gets published. If I’m counting on my fingers correctly, that means the next book in the Desolation Boxster Adventures will be available mid-November. I’ll be trying to get the fifth book out before the end of the year, but that might be pushing it. I’ll post a cover reveal when that is completed.

Theft of an Ancient Dog is Published!

The writing wheels have not stopped, just a little silent for a while. The second book in the Desolation Boxster Adventures is released. It is available on Kindle Unlimited, as an ebook, and as a paperback on Amazon. Here is the blurb:

Trevor Arcwin, now known as Des Boxster, takes his little group of Soldiers of Fortune across the border into Viksar. After taking a job finding a stolen statue, Des finds completing the task is more difficult than he expects as he must expand his group to find the perpetrators. In the process, Des gets involved in graft, kidnapping, and murder as his investigation takes him all the way to the summit of the city’s power structure.

I’ve already started the next book in the series, The Blue Tower.

Prince on the Run is Published

The first book in The Desolation Boxster Adventures series is hot off Amazon’s virtual printing press. Prince on the Run is a little different from my other books in that the hero is a bit older and in a different situation. My readers tell me that the same Guy Antibes style is still there. I hope that is a good thing.

Here is the blurb:

Prince Trevor Arcwin is everything a prince should be: handsome, tall, and adept at arms. Unfortunately, Trevor is not the king’s favorite and is tucked away in the Presidon Army. He is disliked by more than his father and finds his life is at risk. A mysterious aide, thrust upon the prince when he enters the army, must guide the Prince through peril after peril while they are both on the run.

I’ve already started on book two while waiting for editing. The tentative title is Theft of an Ancient Dog. A snippet of that book is at the end of the ebook (or should be soon), but not the paperback.

The Purloined Soul Has Been Published!

The final installment of the Wizard’s Helper series has been published and is ready to read. The paperback version will soon follow. It was a great series to write. The stories generally came right to me without much cogitation. I’ll miss Jack and Fasher, but you’ll be meeting a new hero sooner than later.

Here is the link to Amazon.

Enjoy your last chance to go on the adventure with Jack Winder.

The Purloined Soul Cover Reveal

The last book in the Wizard’s Helper series, The Purloined Soul, is in editing. The draft is complete and I am currently waiting for the edited version so it can be reviewed so I can get the book out. I’m expecting it to arrive before May 15th.

It turned out much as I expected with a few interesting turns that arrived towards the end of the writing process. I’ve gotten the cover done and it is below.

The final book in the Wizard’s Helper series

The next series, Prince on the Lam, is already started. The first book in the series will carry the series name. The overall story will likely be more sword than sorcery, but don’t hold me to that.

Update Amidst the Current Crisis

My original goal was to get the last book out by April 15th, but that will likely slip out by a few weeks. Early May is a more likely target. I had thought that being home would help speed things up, but there are lots of distractions with the coronavirus crisis taking up a lot of my attention.

I was able to squeeze in a vacation to Hawaii the week before everything shut down. It was a great vacation, and so far, no symptoms…not that I expected any. We returned on March 15th and everything closed down in Hawaii after that.

So with everything, my writing suffered a bit. I took an iPad and a keyboard with me to work while on vacation, but the keyboard was too flaky, so I made little headway. I have gotten into more of a rhythm and have gotten more done. As of today, March 21st, I am 40% complete with my first draft and expect to continue to make decent progress.

I hope that all those who read this are keeping safe and making good decisions in these strange times we find ourselves in.

The Buckle’s Curse is Released!

My goal was to get this book out by mid-February and everyone gets this one a little early. If you want to get your copy, here is the link.

I had major surgery on the 20th of January and was able to get the manuscript into my editor before I went under the knife. I’m not so sure I will do it with my recovery schedule, but I am hoping for an April 15th (tax day!) release date for the last book in the series.

Here is the blurb:

Jack Winder ventures to the country of Bornan to find and eliminate a curse that has ruined the entire country. The Bornan wizard that accompanies him has a vested interest in Jack’s latest errand and warns him that the buckle has been lost for two thousand years and won’t be easy to find. Along the way, they have to survive hostile nomads, hostile wizards, and hostile lands to find the buckle and destroy it to eliminate the curse.

And the cover:

The Hidden Mask is Released!

I thought I would get this one out before Christmas and I did. The Hidden Mask has just been put up on Amazon. Here is the link.

And here is the blurb:

Jack  Winder and Penny Ephram travel to Antibeaux, a cold land to the northeast of Corand to retrieve a hidden mask that allows the recipient to glimpse the future. With the intent of inserting themselves into Antibeaux society in the capital of Briston to find the location of the mask, Jack’s group is joined by a mysterious wizard. They quickly learn that Antibeaux is embroiled in a clash of politics that may turn into an insurrection at the very time Jack’s group is trying to find the mask. Jack finds himself fighting the factions and an angry goddess all the while as he tries to retrieve the ancient treasure.

This one was fun to write. Jack has some interesting experiences and is pushed to do a few things that are uncomfortable. I hope you enjoy it. The book is available as an e-book to purchase and is also downloadable in Kindle Unlimited. The paperback will be out sometime this week.

If you like the book, please leave a review on Amazon. If you don’t like the book, give me a Christmas present and don’t say a thing.

The Hidden Mask Cover Reveal

The Hidden Mask cover is below. The book is currently in my editor’s hands. I’m not sure when it will be completed for a final read and publishing, but I’m hoping for mid-December. I currently looks like I will be writing three more books in the Wizard’s Helper series. Book seven has already started. Book eight will take place in Corand, and the last book in the series will likely end up in the country of Kadellia for the big finale.

Book Six in the Wizard Helper’s Series slated for a December release.
