Pushing a Fellow Author’s Work – Web of Eyes
I generally don’t do this, but someone asked. This is not an endorsement. I haven’t read the book, so if you don’t like it don’t blame me. It’s for 99 cents for a week or so and you can read it for free if you’ve got Kindle Unlimited. The good? I like the MC’s name. The bad? Web of Eyes sort of sounds creepy, doesn’t it? – Guy

An ill king brings circling wolves…
When Whitney Fierstown, the self-proclaimed “World’s Greatest Thief,” is imprisoned for a foolhardy attempt to steal the crown off the dying King’s head, a determined knight of the King’s Shield provides an ultimatum: rot and die in a dank cell or join him on a dangerous expedition to find the Queen’s traitorous brother, a warlock accused of placing a terrible curse on the heir to the throne.
With the Kingdom at its most vulnerable, these two opposites, devout knight and conniving scoundrel, pursue the traitor to the hellish Webbed Woods. If the pair is to thwart their mischievous target and withstand the horrifying monster lurking in the haunted woods, they must first put aside their differences.
A Sword & Sorcery Epic perfect for fans of Dragon Age and the Forgotten Realms.
“Fantastic world building and masterful prose. Definitely a must read for Epic Fantasy fans.” Brian D. Anderson, bestselling author of The Godling Chronicles

A Sorcerer’s Diplomacy Draft Complete
I thought I’d let everyone know that the first draft of A Sorcerer’s Diplomacy was finished a minute ago. Whew! I’d say it’s a pretty complete first draft, so I don’t expect any major changes as I start my rewrites tomorrow.
Ricky’s story starts out a bit slowly, but as events rise and fall, everything heats up for an exciting end. So, on to rewrites!

The Emperor’s Pet on Audiobooks
My audiobook publisher, Podium Publishing, notified me recently that The Emperor’s Pet of the Disinherited Prince series has just been released. Those of you who use audiobooks can now hear the book. They are in the process of releasing all of the series.

A Sorcerer Imprisoned Puts On A New Face
After some negative comments about the cover for A Sorcerer Imprisoned (including my wife), I had the cover changed. It is now a different scene where there is a tragic fire. As you might notice, the same poses were used. Instead of holding a stick, Ricky is holding a pitchfork. Here it is:

A Sorcerer Imprisoned is Released and Up On Amazon
I am happy to announce that A Sorcerer Imprisoned is done and in the process of being available for sale on Amazon. I am working on Book Three’s plotting and will start drafting right after Christmas. It is scheduled for release before the end of February.
Here is the official blurb:
Ricky Valian always dreaded the Juvenile Home in the city of Applia. Killing a member of the Council of Notables is enough to sentence him for a stay. The lord’s widow is anxious for revenge and Ricky has to scramble to stay ahead of people out seeking revenge. While there are strange things going on at the Home that will put him in peril, he finds a priceless treasure long forgotten at the Home. Can he stay alive long enough to save it?

Cover for ‘A Sorcerer Imprisoned’
My manuscript has one more edit to go and the manuscript is in her hands. So, while I wait, I’ve approved the cover. This scene comes towards the end of the story.

A Sorcerer Imprisoned
Draft is done. First outside edit is complete with one more to go. A before-Christmas release is looking pretty good. I’ll have a cover reveal in the next week along with the final back-cover blurb.
Stay tuned.
A Sorcerer’s Diplomacy
As I am winding down A Sorcerer Imprisoned, I am putting together the next book, A Sorcerer’s Diplomacy. Ricky finishes his second year at the Academy and is asked to spend the summer at another student’s estate on an island country. Events escalate and Ricky is reluctantly called on to intervene.
This one is scheduled to be out by the end of February. I want this one finished by then since I’ll be spending the first week in March in France on a long-overdue european vacation.

Busy Month of Drafting A Sorcerer Imprisoned
I had a good start on my draft of Sorcerer Imprisoned, but the month slid by. I finally finished the weekend before Thanksgiving and I’ve gone through the first rewrite. This novel might be a touch smaller than the first, but there is lots of action since most of it takes place inside the Applia Juvenile Home.
I hope to hand it off to my editor by the end of next week (December 2nd) with the anticipation of a Christmas Eve release. That might not happen with the holiday festivities, but it’s my goal.
It’s a race to Christmas!

MAPS Page – Finally Posted
A lot of readers have asked for larger versions of the maps for my stories. I’ve included most of them in a new MAPS page located at the top of the website.
All the maps included are pdfs so they can be enlarged and give you all the detail that you need.
My philosophy on maps is that they need to give the reader an indication where things are located. I don’t spend a lot of time creating elegant maps, but I create them myself so they help me while I write, and help you when you read.
