News: My Feet Hurt

8/4/15

I am still alive, but my feet are killing me. The step counter on my phone isn’t very exact, but I walk at least six or seven miles a day with very few breaks to sit down in between. It’s quite painful even with inch thick memory foam pads in my shoes. The good news is there’s only a month left to go before the season ends and I go back to my regular, more sedentary, jobs.

I have been working on my stories in my limited break time at work. Justified is hard to write...

August Goals

Goal number one, plain and simple, is to survive the job. It is difficult for so many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that to my employers I’m just a faceless body they can underpay for far too much work. Okay, rant over. Anyway, my writing time has really dipped down because of the crazy hours. I’ve discovered the Microsoft Word app for my phone and am hoping I’ll be able to sneak in some extra time during my break at work. This goals list is more hope than actu...

July Goals: Results

I did manage to get a lot done this month! Too bad that next month I’m going to be far too busy. That’s why my biggest goal for July was to write as much as possible. Here’s how I did:

Writing. Dragon Soldier has tripled in size. The story is almost halfway done and in a good spot for me to pick it up again in September. My superhero story fell to the wayside this past month. I was working on everything else on this list instead. The Case of the Wandering Wolves is complete a...

News: It’s My Day Off

7/28/15

I get one day off a week for my summer job and today was it. There’s only five weeks left to go before I’m finally done. The good news is that the Microsoft Word app I put on my phone is working very nicely. I’ve been able to add a few hundred words here and there during my breaks. The story of choice this past week has been Justified, which is growing steadily. I hope to get it past 20k words before the job ends. There is still a ton to write, but so far I’m...

News: Birthday and Edits

7/20/15

My birthday is today! I’m having a good one so far. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway I’m holding. There’s just a few more days left.

The edits for Dragon Deception arrived in my inbox late last night. I would have posted about it on twitter immediately, but the internet went down a few minutes after I downloaded the document. I wasn’t expecting to see Deception for a few more months since Dragon Consultant, the first book in the series, barely has a re...

News: Birthday Stuff, Writing, and Work

7/19/15

My birthday is tomorrow! It should be a ton of fun. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway I’m holding. There’s just a few more days left.

I have reached the halfway point in Dragon Soldier. My character is currently feeling very sorry for himself, boohoo, and now I have to build him back up to fighting form before the big battle. It should be interesting.

Of course, I don’t know how much more I’ll be able to write this month. My summer job is hanging over...
