Giveaway: Dragon Consultant

Dragon Consultant is the first book in my new Supernatural Consultant series. It comes out on December 9th and I am unbelievably excited. I enjoyed working with the characters in the story so much it blossomed into a ten book series. I’ve been talking about Dragon Consultant and the rest of the series a ton over the last few months and my readers can finally read it and learn why I’m so happy.

To celebrate, I’m holding a giveaway. Three people will receive an e-copy in the...

I stopped by Magnolia Reviews to talk about Dragon Consultant. Maggie is also hosting a giveaway for an e-copy of Dragon Consultant. The interview was posted last night and the giveaway started this morning. Head on over to Maggie’s site to enter the giveaway and see what I had to say. http://magnoliareviews.weebly.com/reviews-interviews-and-more/interview-and-giveaway-with-mell-eight Maggie is just starting up her blog, so if you have any suggestions for her or are interested...

News: Where My Stories are Now

11/13/15

Elemental Ride is complete. I’ve given it a last read through and sent it on to a beta reader. I expect to have it back in a month or so, at which point I’ll get it ready to submit to LT3’s Roughhouse Raiders call.

Dragon Dilemma has been returned to LT3 and should be with the editor for round two of the editing process. I also expect to see this story again in a month or so. Once the second round of edits is complete, I’ll start asking LT3 about potential rel...

News: It’s Going Well So Far

11/5/15

The month of November has barely started and I’m already off with a bang. The first goal on my list was to get the edits for Dragon Dilemma completed and back to the editor for round two. I have already written the scene that needed to be added and reworked the other problem areas. All that’s left is one or two more comments to tackle and a final read through. I should have it done in another day or two.

The second thing on my goals list was Elemental Ride. I wanted to fini...

November Goals

Goal number one is to eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie. Okay, that’s just my goal for Thanksgiving, but it’s a delicious one! This month I want to write a lot and maybe get at least one story completed. Here’s my list:

Edits. The edits for Dragon Dilemma arrived in my inbox a few days ago. I’ve been working on them steadily, but I need to add at least one big scene and rewrite a few others. I have two weeks left to complete it, so this has to top my to-do list this mo...

October Goals: Results

I got a lot accomplished this month, except I wasn’t able to tick off every item on my goals list like I was supposed to. Instead I let my muses take me where they would. Luckily for me, that was my number three goal, so it wasn’t like I was completely deviating from my to-do list. I just wish I was able to do more. Here’s how I did:

The Oracle’s Current. Saying I couldn’t get inspired to work on this story isn’t correct. The problem is that I was more insp...

News: Fun Things

10/29/15

There are a number of fun things going on in my writing world right now. First, of course, is the fact that I have submitted The Case of the Wandering Wolves to LT3’s Private Dicks call. I hope they like it. LT3 doesn’t start reviewing submissions until after the due date, so it will be a while before I hear. I’ll let everyone know whether they accept it or not once I know.

Second on this list is the edits for Dragon Dilemma. There’s a lot to do so it’s...
