News: Editing and Writing

10/25/15

I have two things I’m editing at the moment. First is The Case of the Wandering Wolves. Thank you to those who encouraged me to take a chance and submit it. I am going to take your advice and send it to LT3. Hopefully they’ll like it, but if they reject it I know it’s not the end of the world. There’s only one or two sections I need to read through one last time, and then I need to get it properly formatted. It will be in LT3’s hands before the deadline...

News: My To-Do List

10/23/15

My to-do list is constantly in flux. The story that is on the top of the list one week, drops to the very bottom a week later. Sometimes a story I haven’t touched in months becomes the number one thing I have to work on. I have learned not to question or fight with the process; I’m just glad to be writing at all. This week has seen some interesting changes to my list that I wanted to share.

First on my to-do list if figuring out what to do about The Case of the Wandering...

A Quandary

I’m not entirely certain what to do about The Case of the Wandering Wolves. As I was originally writing it I thought it was short, sweet, and deeply flawed. I sent it off to two beta readers, who agreed with me that there was something wrong and pointed out ways to fix the issues. After putting their wonderful and very helpful advice to good use, I thought I had all the problems in the story fixed. I added an entire prologue, rewrote a number of scenes, and changed much of the original...

News: Lots of Things Are Going On

10/19/15

I am still over the moon about Dragon Consultant hitting the bestseller list at All Romance E-books. It really does mean a lot to me to know that you guys like my work enough to buy it and I really hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I did writing it. December 9th can’t come soon enough!

Apparently the story I’m working on this week is If A Butterfly Don’t Fly. My muses have decreed it and I have to obey. Luckily, I love this story, but it’s hard to wr...

News: I Thought of a Title

10/10/15

I was writing up a blog post to ask for help coming up with a title for the story I’m writing for LT3’s Roughhouse Raiders call. I had a lovely description of the magic, a bit about the main character, and an explanation of LT3’s call. Then I thought I should give some examples of what I was looking for in a title. I knew they would be crappy, but having some examples keeps the trolls from getting too eager. After I had the post completely written, I read through it...

News: I’m Writing

10/8/15

I’ve been working on a bunch of stories lately. I write a few hundred words in one story, then jump to another to write a few hundred words, and then jump to another story… you get the gist. It means I’m making progress in a bunch of different stories, but it’s not enough that I think I’ll get anything completed this month. I would be much happier if I were writing a few thousand words in each story before I jump away, but I’m not. All I can hope fo...
