Brandon's Story!
Hi everyone! I realized it's been over a month since I've written a blog entry, and to be honest time has pretty much gotten away from me. But I did want to share what I've been up to over the past month, so you knew I hadn't fallen off the face of the earth. I am working on my next book, and what I've been writing is Brandon's story. So many of my fans reached out after I published Work of Art to let me know they wanted me to write Brandon's story. He was a really beloved character, and I loved him just as much, so I decided to give him his happy ending.
If you haven't read the book, Brandon Cooper is more of a side character/friend to both Ryan and Harper, the main characters. And he's pretty endearing, even if he is vulgar at times, doesn't hold back and says things no one else would. He's a lot of fun, but he also got burned pretty bad by his ex, so he's jaded when it comes to love. In his story you'll learn more about why that is, and you'll meet the woman who makes him rethink his vow to never fall in love again.
Her name is Lindsay Hollenbeck, and you met her if you read Shattered Crowns. She was a really minor character, but I liked her moxie, so I figured she'd be a good match for Brandon. As it turns out, he's also a good match for her since she feels the same way he does about love. It's just not for her.
What they both realize is that sometimes you can't help but fall in love with someone, even when you really don't want to.
As of right now, I'm making good progress on the story, but I don't have a cover, a title or a pub date just yet. My goal is to have it out in December or January, but it all depends on how the story fleshes out. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks!

Book Pins
I love Pintrest! And since I pin a lot, I decided to create a board of things I've mentioned in my books. I've always had images in my head of the way certain clothes or jewelry or even tattoos I've described in my books look like in real life, so I figured, why not share them with my readers. I will warn you though, it's fairly random - mostly because I haven't yet figured out how to organize a Pintrest board - and there might be some spoilers if you haven't read a particular book. But, if you're okay with all that, take a look. And if I'm missing something you want to see a picture of, just let me know, and I'll do what I can to find one :) Happy pinning!

"Only With You" Playlist
So lately I’ve been seeing a lot of live music, which has been so awesome. But the cool thing is that some of my favorite artists are lesser known, so the shows are really intimate, and you also get to see the up and coming bands and musicians who tour with them before most people ever hear of them.
This August I got a triple-whammy of awesomeness show when I saw Parachute, Matt Hires and Andrew Ripp. I actually went to see Matt Hires, since he’s an amazing singer/songwriter out of Tampa that I’ve loved for years, but I also fell in love with the energy of Parachute, who I’d heard of before but hadn’t ever really embraced, and Andrew Ripp, who did the most amazing cover of Mirrors by JT that I’d ever heard. Really good stuff, and his own songs were fantastic.
So in addition to these three artists working their way onto the playlist for Only With You, because of the literally soulful music they play that I can’t stop listening to, I also include music by one of my favorite new bands, The Naked and Famous. And of course, because the female lead in this book, Sydney Chase, is a pop star, I couldn’t leave out my pop favorites – Taylor Swift and One Direction. And if you haven’t heard the new Sara Bareilles, it’s amazing.
So there’s my plug for what’s been on my iPod on replay as of late, and here’s the playlist for my latest book, Only With You , out on Monday, September 16th. When I originally shared the concept for this book, it was supposed to be a 125ish page novella. Well that didn’t happen. I’ve never been called concise in my life (see this blog post if you need proof), so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised when this book took on a life of its own and ended up being 300 pages. But the story kept flowing, and I kept writing, and there you have it.
Only With You is a friends to lovers story of Sydney Chase and Ryder Thompson, two characters that I really ended up loving. I’m so excited for you all to read this book. I hope you love it!
Only With You Playlist

They Don’t Know About Us – One Direction
Endgame – Rise Against
Skyscraper – Demi Lovato

Catch My Breath – Kelly Clarkson
And just because, why not, here are the shows I’m excited about seeing in the next few months:
Imagine Dragons – I’m proud to say I was listening to this band for about six months before anyone heard them on the radio. They are fabulous, and yes, I’m kind of sick of hearing Radioactive on the radio too! It’s not even their best song. Demons (see Searching for Neverland playlist) is my fave.
Jimmy Eat World – I hit the jackpot yesterday when I saw they were finally touring in the US again! Tickets purchased today.
Needtobreathe – one of my all-time favorite bands. Ironically I saw them open for Taylor Swift in 2011, and they are so good in concert. Amaze!
Matt Nathanson – simply my all-time favorite singer/songwriter.
If you haven’t heard of these bands/artists, check them out! You won’t regret it. And yes, I am a huge fan of One Direction. I love them and their music. Don’t hate :)

"Only With You"
So, a few years ago, I was lucky enough to get front row seats to one of Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" concerts. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a pretty big fan of hers - her music, her fashion, her perfumes, her super-cute greeting cards, and even her quirky personality. I love it all.
But as I was sitting there watching one of the best concerts I've ever been to, since she puts on one amazing show, my mind started to do its thing where a story forms out of nowhere and just grows from there. I kept thinking about the people she was on tour with - her band, the back-up dancers, the crew - and I started to think about what would happen if someone as famous as her were to fall for an average guy who worked on one of her tours.
I kept that idea in the back of my mind since at that point in my life (it was exactly five days before I published my first novel, Just Watch the Fireworks) I had so many other stories I wanted to write. But now I've come to a point where all those stories, and some I hadn't thought of back in November 2011, have been written.
So I came back to this idea I'd had almost two years ago when I went to one of Taylor's "Red" concerts back in April. I decided to write the story that had been brewing in my mind for a long time, but I put a different twist on it that made it more personal by adding in a best friend love interest instead of someone from the tour. But it's still the same concept of immortal falls in love with mortal, and how can that ever work in the real world?
Only With You will probably end up being around a hundred and thirty pages give or take when I'm done with it. It's a shorter story than I usually write, but it'll still be packed with a good stuff. And I'm excited. I love how the characters are shaping up, especially Ryder. I kind of adore him.
And just because I got the idea for this book from being at a Taylor Swift show doesn't mean this book is in any way about her. She just unintentionally inspired the initial idea, but Sydney is definitely not her.
So check it out. It's up on my page now. I don't have an official pub date yet, but I know it'll be sometime in September.
And for those of you who are wondering how Shattered Crowns is going, it's going great. I'm editing at the moment, and it'll be available in just sixteen days. Whoo-hoo! Get excited! I know I am.

Meet Andrew Bryce, Liar's Edge Guitarist
*Warning: If you haven’t ready the first two books in the Broken Fairytales series and plan to, you don’t want to read this blog entry because it will be one giant spoiler.
If you have read the series, and you’re highly anticipating the release of Shattered Crowns, you’re probably intrigued as to why Andrew is important. Well, when I decided to write a third book in this series, I wanted to add in another storyline outside of Zack and Emily’s. Both of them had been through a lot, and I didn’t want this book to be more of the same stuff from the first two books since that just gets tiring to read. So Andrew’s story was born, and it’s interwoven throughout the book and plays a big part in what the band and the characters are going through.
The book is told from a double POV, which I have become quite fond of here lately. Zack tells half the story, and Andrew tells the other half, but everything overlaps for the most part since the bulk of the book centers around Liar’s Edge as they are wrapping up one tour, recording an album and starting another tour. Oh, and Emily got one chapter from her POV, just because I felt like I needed to include her voice one last time
So, on to Andrew. You might not remember him, but you first met him in Buried Castles. He’s the other guitarist in Liar’s Edge, and he grew up with Derrick, the Liar’s Edge drummer, and his sister Jen – Zack’s ex-girlfriend and Lily’s mother. At the end of Buried Castles, Andrew had been dating Jen for about eight months. They’d gotten together the summer before when Jen had been living in L.A. Andrew had been out there pursuing a solo career since Liar’s Edge was on hiatus. His career didn’t work out, but now he has a place back in the band where it all started, and he’s still dating Jen.
What you don’t know about Andrew is that he’s dealing with a lot in his personal life at the moment, and it’s affecting his music and the band. He’s questioning his relationship with Jen, because a few weeks earlier someone from his past came back into his life – someone he never thought he’d see again let alone have feelings for. This is the crux of what Andrew battles throughout most of the book since the person he has feelings for is Cole Stephenson. If you’ve read Searching for Neverland, he was a sub-character from that book. I liked him, and people were asking for his story, so I decided to write it. There are several problems that Andrew faces that you’ll learn more about when you read the book, but the main one is that he’s not gay, but he suddenly finds himself with strong feelings for another man. Sometimes, though, you can’t help who you fall in love with.
At the end of it all, there are two love stories told in Shattered Crowns, Zack and Emily and Andrew and Cole. I know I took a major chance writing a m/m romance, which is why I wanted to be up front about it. I’d hate for someone who is uncomfortable with that genre to buy the book and be upset. But I love how Andrew and Cole’s story played out, and hopefully you will too. I also still really like Zack and Emily, but I’ve always had a special place for those two.
Shattered Crowns will be available on August 16th.

Tweet, Tweet
So, after years of staying away from Twitter, I have finally caved and become a part of the tweeting nation. But, I freakin' love it, and it's so incredibly addicting. Seriously, who knew it would be so much fun to read random stuff that celebrities say? Not this girl, but I have been proven wrong! #serioustwitterlove So, this is me inviting you to follow me @MonMichelle6. I will probably at one point or another tweet something witty or funny, but I'll also share what I'm reading, writing and listening to which could be mildly entertaining. Or not. Either way, I'm having fun with this new social media outlet, so come hang out with me :)

Please Don't Hate
Okay, so I know this decision is going to make some people frustrated, so I wanted to apologize up front. Unfortunately, due to the craziness that has been my life lately (all good stuff fortunately, but insane nonetheless) I had to push the pub date back on "Shattered Crowns". The book is coming along well, but I just don't want to rush it. I love how the story is developing, and I promise it will be good, but it'll just be out later than expected. The new pub date is August 16th. Truthfully, when I committed to the original date six months ago, I had no idea 2013 would turn out how it did. But because of some pretty incredible things that happened in my personal and professional, non-author life, I wasn't able to commit to writing as often as I'd planned. But, I know the book will be awesome, and I hope you all will be understanding :) Thanks for reading and being such amazing fans!

"Gravity Happens" Description
Okay, so I've waited long enough to add the description for Gravity Happens - the continuation of Logan and Jase's story and Ethan's story all in one. This book will have a split POV, between Ethan and Logan, as their stories intertwine quite a bit.
And without further ado, here it is:
In Forcing Gravity Logan Kessler fell for Jason “Jase” Brady, one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood, and dating Jase was one of the best decisions she’s ever made in spite of all the pitfalls that come with dating someone famous. Jase is sweet, loving and incredibly down-to-earth. But their relationship will face its first big test when Jase goes on location to film a new movie with his ex-girlfriend, Chloe St. James, playing opposite him. As if being apart isn’t bad enough, new concerns arise when Chloe makes it known that she wants Jase back, and Logan is afraid she won’t stop until she gets him.
Ethan Lewis is in love with his best friend, Logan Kessler, but she has nothing but platonic feelings for him. Instead of continuing to pine away after what he can’t have, he decides to see if he can focus his attention elsewhere. That’s when he meets Nora Brady, Jase Brady’s sister, who is unlike any girl he’s ever met before. But Nora knows about his feelings for Logan, so she’s hesitant to date Ethan for fear of getting hurt. Maybe they can just be friends. But as Nora and Ethan grow closer, they start to realize that they just might be right for each other, even though Ethan knows that deep down that if given the chance, he’d be with Logan in a heartbeat.
With precarious relationships on the line, vengeful exes to look out for and the paparazzi lying in wait to record it all, Gravity Happens, is a story of friendship, love, betrayal and knowing who you can trust in a world where everywhere you look, there’s someone who wants to take what you have for themselves.
This book will be released on 5/16/13.
