"Promise Me" Now Available

My new book Promise Me is now available!!!

Kate Pierce and Jack Kinsley were best friends who were linked by unfortunate circumstances when they were too young to realize it. Life happened, and they were separated for eight years. But sometimes life has a funny way of bringing people together, and when Jack and Kate both end up at the same college, their paths cross, and suddenly they have a second chance at a life together that they thought they’d lost.

I truly loved writing this story, and I'm thrilled with how the finished product turned out. I can't wait for you all to read it. I hope you love it as much as I do :)

You can purchase Promise Me on Amazon.com and Smashwords.com today, with all other eReader sites to soon follow.

Happy Reading!

"Lost to You" Now Available

Hey everyone! I wanted to share that my latest book, "Lost to You" is now available. It's the third book in the Westside series, but it can also be read as a stand-alone novel, so don't worry if you haven't read the other two. Or if you interested in checking out the whole series, you can purchase all three books together at a discounted price in the Westside Series Box Set.Here are the details on what this one is about:Phillip Lawton has never been good at dealing with the bad things in his life, and for years he’s opted to self-medicate over having to face anything tough. With a childhood that was less than joyful and only a few people in life that actually care about him, he’s never had much to live for. But when his addiction takes over and starts to threaten one of the only good things in his life – his place in Westside – he knows he needs to get sober and stay that way. Regardless of how much he didn’t seem to care about the band in the past, Westside means everything to him. But when you’ve been an addict for almost ten years, staying sober isn’t exactly an easy thing to achieve, especially when temptations are all around you.Sabrina Tyler hit rock bottom a few years back, and it was a media spectacle. Just the fact that she was able to get sober, stay that way, and relaunch her music career is a miracle all on its own, but when she’s ask to be Phillip’s sponsor and help him stay clean during Westside’s six-month long tour, she questions whether that’s something she can do. Phillip isn’t exactly welcoming of Sabrina’s presence, and she can’t even tell if he’s even serious about getting sober. But tenacity has always been her strength, and she finds herself more determined than ever to get through to Phillip. What Phillip and Sabrina don’t realize is they have more in common than they ever realized. They’ve both felt immeasurable loss, they’ve both been hurt, and they both carry scars on their hearts that keep them guarded. Sometimes the one person you thought you didn’t need in your life becomes the one you rely on the most. But what happens when a girl who never thought she’d find love again falls for the boy she’s supposed to be helping, a boy who doesn’t think he’s even capable of love? Sabrina knows that Phillip isn’t the ideal guy for her, but she isn’t willing to accept that. She sees the good in him, she sees beyond the demons that haunt him, and all she can hope is that when he looks at her, he sees the same things.Happy Reading!

Welcome!

Welcome to my very new author website! For years I’ve gone back and forth about whether or not to create a website for my books, and after feeling like it was just time to take the leap, I did it. And I’m really happy with the way it turned out. This site is still a work in progress, but I’m so excited about what it will eventually become down the road – as I learn more about how to make it amazing. For now, it’s a small corner of the world that’s truly mine, where I can share with you what I’m working on, what I’ve written, and anything else that might be on my mind. Thanks for checking the site out, and look forward to new updates and content soon. – Monica

New Book - January 16th!

Hi everyone! I’m super-excited to share that I have a new book coming out. The next installment in the Westside series, Lost to You will be out on January 16th. But even if you haven’t read the other two books in the series, this one can be read as a stand-alone novel. So check it out!

This is Phillip’s story. He might be the most talented member of Westside, but too many demons from his past have haunted him for most of his life, and after self-medicating to hide from the pain, he hits a point where he could lose everything. His only choice is to get sober and stay there.

If you read the first two books in this series, you briefly met Phillip in Lost in Wonderland, and then you got a more detailed glimpse into how bad his addiction had become in Lost Chances. You also know that after making a series of mistakes that affected the band, he vowed to stay sober. But what you don’t know is that he broke that vow almost as soon as their last tour was over.

Lost to You starts with Phillip leaving rehab for a second time, swearing that this time it’s going to stick. He’s not going back. But he’s been battling his past for too long, and he knows better than anyone that the desire to get lost instead of face reality can pull him under before he realizes it’s even happening. And going back on a worldwide tour where temptations are everywhere won’t exactly be easy. But he’s survived this long, and he’s not going to lose everything he’s worked for, that he loves, without a fight.

In Lost Chances, you were introduced to Sabrina Tyler, a former pop star who got heavy into drugs and fell hard again and again – and in some very public ways. She’s been sober for a few years, and after a successful comeback album, her career is taking off again. She’s also starting to feel like she has control over her life for the first time in years. So of course turmoil has to be right around the corner.

When she’s asked to be the opening act for Westside, and then when Westside’s manager goes a step further and asks her to sponsor Phillip and help him stay sober, her first instinct is to say no. But knowing what Phillip is facing and how hard it could be for him to not succumb to the urge to use has her agreeing to help him. The only problem is Phillip doesn’t want to be helped.

Lost to You is an emotional journey of two people who have more in common than they ever realized. And when you’re fighting to keep your sanity, having someone in your corner who knows what that’s like is more important than ever – if you’re willing to trust them and let them in.

I love this book and how it turned out. When I originally thought of telling Phillip’s story I had no idea it would end up the way it did. But I’m so happy with the final product, and I can’t wait for you to read it. So check it out on January 16th on Amazon and Smashwords.com; all other eReaders to follow shortly.

Happy reading!

Monica

New Book!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share that I have a new book coming out next month. The second book in the Westside series, Lost Chances, will be out on August 16th. This is Van and Elisa's story and can be read as a standalone novel. Here is the description below. Look for it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks and any other eReader site soon :)

Two years ago, Van Salvatore made a mistake that he couldn’t take back, a mistake that cost him the girl he loved. Even though he never admitted it at the time, his world changed the day Elisa Donovan walked out of his life. When he finds out that Elisa is going to be traveling with his band Westside on their world tour, he knows he wants another chance. Of course it quickly becomes evident to Van that he and Elisa want very different things. But he vows not to give up without a fight. After all, he has an entire tour to win her back, and Van is nothing if not persuasive when he wants to be.

Elisa Donovan hasn’t forgiven Van Salvatore in two years, and she’s fairly confident she won’t be forgiving him anytime soon. The only reason she took the job with Westside was to further her career. Van was an unfortunate side effect of that decision, and she’s hoping to steer clear of him as much as possible. What she never counted on, though, was Van doing everything in his power to insert himself back into her life. Soon she finds herself wondering if she can let go of the past and give him a second chance, something she never thought she’d consider. But if Van really is different from the guy he was two years ago, and if she can find a way to trust him again, maybe they have a chance at being happy together. Maybe . . .

Happy Reading!
