Nintendo Comic Peach > Any other Peach.

Nintendo Comic Peach should be Canon Peach.

While we’re on the subject, this comic version of Mario should be what all Mario games are based on. The whole comic is tight as hell, hilarious, action-packed, and thoroughly entertaining.

The Egyptian Osireion, located in Abydos.

At the back of the Temple of Seti I (r. ca. 1290–1279 BC), is this extraordinarily unique ‘dummy tomb’ known as the Osireion. This structure probably represented the burial place of Osiris, in the form of a primeval island. A sarcophagus was once situated on this artificial island, surrounded by water.

thecaliforniakings:

Well, Loyal Subjects, it’s been a long time coming: I’ve been playing Sunless Sea at a grand total of 77 hours, through Early Access and now the Full Release, and it all comes down to one final success and a glorious ending. Lady Toots defies the odds one last time – and the Unterzee has changed forever!

Thank you all so much for watching this series. This has been a blast to play, and as new DLC/content comes out, I’ll be playing that and putting up here on the California Kings channel. The first DLC, Zubmariner, has been announced, and I can’t wait to play it. In the meanwhile, thank you all again for joining me on this journey in this incredible game. I can’t wait to see what else Failbetter Games has in store for Sunless Sea.

ahencyclopedia:

MAYA FOOD AND AGRICULTURE:

FOR the Maya, reliable food production was so important to their well-being that they closely linked the agricultural cycle to astronomy and religion. Important rituals and ceremonies were held in honour of specialised workers; from beekeepers to fishermen and maize, the all-important Mesoamerican staple, even had its own god.

As an agricultural society, 90% of the Maya population were involved in farming. Management of land and natural resources brought a more dependable harvest and varied diet, enabling economic growth. This allowed for the flourishing of Maya culture but eventual over-exploitation, an ever-increasing population, and protracted periods of drought may have been factors in the ultimate collapse of the Maya civilization.

Holy shit, Louis. I got all weird-feely when I read this. Someone send it to His Most High Glorious Emperor Stephen Hawking and His Perpetual Excellency Lord Neil deGrasse Tyson for their input.

That’s some deep shit.
