Coming Together: Girl on Girl interview with @LeighEllwood
I promised you’d be hearing more about the charity Coming Together: Girl on Girl anthology.
Well your wait is over because I’m pleased to introduce the editor who made it all possible, Leigh Ellwood.
Take it away, Leigh!
Hello, I am Leigh Ellwood and I thank you for visiting me here today to talk about the new lesbian erotica anthology, COMING TOGETHER: GIRL ON GIRL. To make you more familiar with this wonderful book, I decided to interview myself. Somebody had to do it. J
Q: So what is this new book you want to promote?
A: Thanks for asking! COMING TOGETHER: GIRL ON GIRL is a collection of lesbian erotica and erotic romance stories. Many of the contributing authors are well-known in the genre, some have contributed to past Coming Together books, and there are a few new faces. This is the first such volume to feature all lesbian stories.
Q: Terrific! So, what inspired your desire to take on a project?
A: I write many genres of erotica and romance, and have a few bestselling lesbian titles available. It’s a growing genre in digital publishing, and one of my books (SHE LOVES ME) was a finalist in the Goldie Awards. I have contributed to Coming Together in the past, and wanted to do something on a larger scale to show my appreciation for the company, and for the charity the book benefits.
Q: This is a charity book? Who will benefit?
A: The National Center for Lesbian Rights helps all LGBT people with legal and social issues. I became aware of the NCLR when they fought to help an elderly same-sex couple who faced separation after one was hospitalized. If you’ve seen the first part of If These Walls Could Talk 2, it’s a similar story. A couple not legally recognized as such could face the loss of their partner, their home, and other property. Some of these stories are heartbreaking to read, and I wanted this book to help give back.
Q: What stories can we expect to enjoy?
A: Here is the lineup:
The Princess’ Princess (Salome Wilde)
Sundae, Bloody Sunday (Lisabet Sarai)
Angel (Ms. Peach)
Hot Air (Slave Nano)
A Taste of Vanilla (Leigh Ellwood)
The Trade In (Stephani Maari Booker)
New Girl (Harper Bliss)
Same But Different (Kate Atwood)
Fair As the Moon (Laurel Waterford)
On Display (Sophie Mouette)
Tough Enough to Wear a Dress (Teresa Noelle Roberts)
Snow Blind (Jean Roberta)
All Keyed Up (Scarlet Chastain)
Ghost Lights (Erzabet Bishop)
Winner Take (Andrea Dale)
Worth the Wait (Beth Wylde)
Lambda-winner Debra Hyde wrote the introduction.
Q: Are all the stories super explicitly hot?
A: Stories range from heavy sensual to scorching. There’s sci-fi, BDSM, contemporary, interracial, and historical. I think it’s a good mix.
Q: What is your story, A Taste of Vanilla, about?
A: It is a story of discovery, about a bi-curious woman meeting a potential partner for the first time. Not to spoil, but she learns to enjoy herself in a public place!
Q: Where can readers buy this book?
A: You can buy it now here:
Amazon / ARe / Smashwords
All royalties from the book go to charity. Everybody involved gave their time and talent, and I thank them!
Q: And if a reader wants to check out more of your books?

HOT NEW RELEASE: One Wicked Night by Emily Quinn @equinnauthor
Happy HOT NEW RELEASE day, better known as Friday!
Today’s HNR feature is Emily Quinn’s One Wicked Night, book one of her Wicked series. Emily follows her debut release, A Playboy’s Love Affair, with this promising super sexy story.
Angel Jones is a career-driven woman at the top of her game with a big problem: a wickedly handsome boss. It is impossible to get him out of her mind, so her friends talk her into using someone else’s invitation to an exclusive dating service. It’s a dare she can’t resist.
Fernando Durante knows lusting after someone at work is not an option. He has managed to avoid direct contact with her for years, but thanks to a recent promotion, the witty goddess reports directly to him. When a friend emails him an invitation to an exclusive dating service, Fernando accepts against his better judgment.
Will Angel and Fernando let their hearts guide them?
Excerpt:
Angel broke the kiss and placed a hand on his chest, her intense gaze boring into him. “Fer-Fernando…” she whispered between breaths.
His hips shifted, brushing his cock against her mound. His fingers trailed along the sides of her thighs and found their way into her damped panties. He slid his fingers along her moistened folds. She was so wet, so ready for him. He sucked in his breath. His thumb stroked her clit as two fingers thrust into her.
Closing her eyes, Angel threw her head back, a soft moan escaping her mouth.
Fernando let go of his hold on her hip and dragged his left hand to the back of her neck. “Look at me, Angel.” Fernando tightened his hold on her neck, forcing her to look at him. His fingers drove into her slick channel, increasing the pace of his thumb. Her muscles clenched around his fingers, coating them with her nectar.
With heavy lids, Angel looked at him.
Fernando didn’t want to take her in the office, but this was the first time he’d ever been this close to her, and he wouldn’t miss the opportunity. He could always make up for it later by asking her out, wooing her like she deserved, taking her home, fucking her the way she wanted to be fucked, and making sweet love to her at last to keep her coming back to his bed.
Angel rocked her hips against his hand, her muscles tightening around his fingers. Fernando increased his pace, thrusting deeper, his thumb caressing her clit faster. By the look on her face, the sway of her hips, the wetness coating his fingers, he knew she wouldn’t be able to hold on too much longer.
“Fer-Fer…” She moaned, throwing her head back.
Fernando firmed his grasp on her neck when she tried to break free. “Look at me, Angel. I want to see you come,” he coaxed.
Angel clutched his shoulders with her hands. A crease formed in her brow, her lips parted halfway, and her hot breath kissed his mouth. “Fernando.” She let go, her body trembled against his.

Mid Week Tease: “I think you’ll like the next surprise.” from Brooke’s Wish #MWTease
Welcome back to Mid Week Tease, a new feature for sharing snippets of a new release, favorite backlisted title or a current work in progress.
I’m posting an excerpt from Brooke’s Wish (The Satin Rose Experience, book 2), my one and only menage.
Set up: A blindfolded Brooke waiting for her fantasy to begin in her Satin Rose Experience suite…
“W-who’s there?” Brooke croaked. She put her hands on her hips and straightened her back.
A low chuckle erupted. “Don’t panic, princess. It’s just me. Sorry, I got carried away taking in the sight of you like this. You look magnificent, Brooke.” His southern drawl was more distinct than the night before.
Warm hands stroked the bare skin under the negligee between the corset and her lace panties. She shivered from the light touch traveling up her back. He untied the ribbon at her neck and slipped the negligee off her shoulders. Heat radiated from his body as he moved to face her and pulled the blindfold from her eyes.
“Hi there,” he said huskily.
Her stomach fluttered when she looked into his eyes. It was a different look for Ty Venice. Thick stubble covered his cheeks and the area above his lip. She recalled how his whiskers scratched her cheeks the previous night and her face heated when she anticipated his stubble abrading the skin of her inner thighs. She lowered her eyelids to his bare shoulders. Her breath caught at the sight of his muscular chest and arms. Reaching out, she traced her fingertips over the outline of a detailed rose tattooed on the muscular curve of his bicep. A combination of musk and manliness filled her senses. She continued her gaze downward and followed a line of soft hair to the unfastened button of rumpled khaki pants. Brooke looked back to his face and he smiled seemingly enjoying watching her visual journey down his body.
“Hi.” She smiled back.
Ty hooked his thumb under her chin and lifted her face to his. “I heard you requested me, love.” His lips were just a whisper away from hers. “Everything okay?” There was concern in his voice.
Brooke opened her mouth to speak but closed it again and nodded. Her heart beat wildly as his hand gently stroked her cheek.
“Let’s go over some things before we get started. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since I left you last night, princess, but you’re not ready for a true scene. We’re here to play and we’ll go as far as you want. ‘No’ always means no with me. If you’re uncomfortable with something, tell me and we’ll stop. Don’t overthink things, just feel. Okay?”
Brooke nodded.
Ty slid the hand holding her chin to the back of her neck and cupped her face with the other. His lips grazed hers. His first pass was gentle and exploratory. She whimpered into his mouth when his tongue sought hers. Mint and cranberry juice tickled the sides of her tongue, which made sense since alcohol consumption was against SRE rules before a scene. Brooke’s fingers traveled down his chest and stomach toward the place she wanted to taste next.
He pulled away and grabbed her hands before they reached his waistband.
“Patience, love.”
Without a word he tied the blindfold tightly around her head and left her panting for more.
“I think you’ll like the next surprise.”

ALL THINGS GIRL ~ Challenge: ON
These two words started it all.
While chatting with friend and fellow author, D.C. Stone, we came to a revelation: there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done (I know, I know, that’s not much of a revelation, but stay with me here).
Work, family, writing… who has time for to workout? Well, the no-workout thing has started to take its toll so we decided make our health a priority and begin a workout plan.
I will start by saying: I HATE TO WORKOUT!
I really do, but I can’t let DC Stone kick my butt so…
My torture of choice: Kickboxing
Crazy, right?
YES!
What an insane way to spend an hour! I’ve sweated more in two days than I have in a lifetime, muscles are sore I never knew I had, and I’ve perfected the ability to keep my lunch down. Yeah, it was THAT hard.
It’s grueling, but I took that first step punch and I’m going to keep moving forward because I’ve discovered I’m stronger than I think I am.
How empowering is that?

Mid Week Tease: “Too bad there’s not a Rosetta Stone for BDSM” #TieMeFree #SRE #MWTease
Welcome back to Mid Week Tease, a new feature for sharing snippets of a new release, favorite backlisted title or a current work in process. Today I have a brand new unedited excerpt from Tie Me Free (The Satin Rose Experience series, Book 4).
Set up: Kate Angel of Angel Books Publishing is in need of a crash course on all things kinky to appease her newest high profile client, erotic romance author Blaze Harrington. She’s just joined Domsublife, a members only social kinky website as a research exercise.
Curled up on the couch in velour lounge pants, an old t-shirt, and a bowl of chicken Pad Thai, Kate opened her laptop. A full week of late nights up working had taken their toll and a good night’s sleep was necessary. She promised herself she’d only check for an email message from Blaze regarding the edits on the author’s first release with Angel Books, then power off for the night. Opening her email, no less than a couple dozen new email messages stared back at her. Her gaze swept over the incoming messages. Nothing from Blaze, one from her assistant, Alana, regarding a day off, and twenty-seven messages from members of Domsublife, including a welcome coaxing her to join a group and beef up her profile. The other messages were not as tame.

Looking for a poly house?
Want to be my slave?
I have a leash with your name on it
“Ugh. Gross. Not one of your more stellar ideas, Angel.” Kate clicked ‘Select All’, then ‘Delete’ and made a mental note to unsubscribe her membership when she got to work the next day. There had to be a better way to learn about the lifestyle so she could talk intelligently to Blaze Harrington. Shit. She’d settle on just being able to understand the terms in Blaze’s books. Words and acronyms such as SSC, TIITWD, waxing, RACK, Subspace, CBT and TPE were a foreign language to her. “Too bad there’s not a Rosetta Stone for BDSM,” she muttered and closed her laptop. She made a mental note to look for a book tomorrow.
Don’t feel too bad for Kate. She’s about to meet Mr. Hottiepants (otherwise known as Mason Myers) who happens to share Kate’s taste in art.
I’ll post more teasers from Tie Me Free over the next few weeks. If you’d like to check out my other Satin Rose Experience books (Mia’s Submission, Brooke’s Wish, and Mafia Princess) click here!

ALL THINGS GIRL: Winning the Body Image Battle
Last week I had the fantastic opportunity to join about thirty other women for a night of fiction fun featuring debut author, Stephanie Evanovich. The food, wine, and company were amazing and I was especially impressed by Stephanie. Not only is she a talented author, she’s a Jersey girl (that adds 100 points to her coolness scale) and she’s had her own challenges with becoming and staying fit.
Check out this interview for more on Stephanie and her book, Big Girl Panties:
Anyway, Stephanie’s talk got me thinking about how hard women are with themselves regarding body image. It’s no wonder why! Without realizing it, we introduce our daughters to examples of what society thinks an ideal woman’s body should look like.
Take Barbies for example:
Then there are all of the unrealistic celebrity and model photos we admire and try to emulate. Unrealistic because those pictures are fabulous due to the magic of photoshop. Take a look:
Pretty amazing, right?
According to a Glamour magazine survey of more than 300 women of all sizes, on average, women have 13 negative body thoughts daily—nearly one for every waking hour. And a disturbing number of women confess to having 35, 50 or even 100 hateful thoughts about their own shapes each day. A whopping 97 percent admitted to having at least one “I hate my body” moment. Each day. I believe it, because I have many of them.
So what can we do to stop the madness? For one we can stop being so hard on ourselves. Instead of worrying about a number on the scale, focus on leading a healthy lifestyle. Forget about rules and the never-ending strive for perfection. Find something you like to do, exercise wise and do it. Be kind to yourself and remember it’s okay to splurge once in a while.
Most of all, enjoy life. You deserve it, sweets!

She’s 40 and vanilla; he’s 28 and…not. #8sunday #TieMeFree #SRE
Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors, a meme where writers share eight sentences from a current WIP or published or unpublished finished work.
My eight sentences are from my newest manuscript, Tie Me Free, a contemporary erotic romance based on the art and practice of Shibari. The story is currently in submission status so I’m on inbox stalking mode. *fingers crossed* The blurb is not ready for public consumption yet, but I should have it firmed up next week.
The set-up: After chatting online, Kate and Mason choose the Guggenheim Museum’s Art of Bondage exhibit as the venue for their first face to face meeting. Kate paces the museum lobby and begins to wonder if he’s stood her up…
“Going somewhere, Katie A.?” A deep, lilting voice purred from behind.
Kate swiveled on her heels to face the man she’d been waiting for. Taller than she’d expected, her line of vision fell on a broad chest and muscular shoulders. Her gaze wandered lazily to a lightly stubbled jawbone and full lips. She continued past his mouth to hazel eyes flecked with gold. His picture did not do him justice.
She cleared her throat. “You’re late.”
Be sure to visit my fellow Weekend Writing Warriors. Links to their snippets can be found here! Come back next week when I’ll post scenes from the exhibit.

HOT NEW RELEASE: Persuasion Skills by Laurel Cremant
Today’s HOT NEW RELEASE is from hot new Evernight author, Laurel Cremant! Laurel shares her experiences of writing and becoming a published author. Take it away, Laurel!
Proclaiming Your Genre
I’ve always wanted to be a writer, and as I grew older I realized I not only wanted to be a writer, I wanted to also be that elusive animal-an author. To become an author you can’t just write, you need to publish and that is one daunting task. It took me years to work up the confidence to have others read and critique my work, but eventually I published my first book and I thought the major battles were behind me. However once I did publish I faced a new hurdle. Telling people that I write not only romance, but erotic romance. Eeek!
It’s not a secret that romance, out of all the fiction genres, often gets a bad reputation. For whatever, reason people assume that it’s an easy genre to write. Trust me it isn’t. It takes a lot of skill and a lot of hard work, to create relatable characters and a believable path to a happy ending. Much like real life romance, fictional romance is not easy!
I’m not exactly a shy person, but telling family and friends that my chosen genre is rather blush worthy, was a problem I really didn’t see coming. Somehow, creating steamy scenes on paper was one thing, but having my mother ask when she could read my first draft almost sent me into a coma! And Good Gawd, when she did read it and offered tips to make scenes hotter I was catatonic for at least a solid week!
So why then was I so shy in proclaiming my genre of choice? I think it had more to do with the fact that I had yet to come to terms with one important fact. Telling people what I wrote was just one more step in recognizing that I was living my dream. I was finally doing what I wanted to do, and didn’t want anyone to dare criticize. A pissed off, “How dare you,” Laurel is a phenom onto itself. But guess what? I was pleasantly surprised.
People have been both curious and interested. They’ve asked questions and for information on where they can find my books. . . And they’ve written reviews and told their friends! Color me surprised and delighted!
The whole experience helped me get over a shyness I didn’t even realized I had. Now, when people ask me what I write, I proudly state that I write Smexy Erotic Romance! I even hand out cards with my book covers on the back.
Persuasion Skills by Laurel Cremant
In the aftermath of a major health scare, Pepper Holts makes the relief-inspired decision to seize the day. Unfortunately, most of her “seizing” involves a bit of merlot and her best friend’s pants! After a shared night of passion she realizes that her feelings for Jax are a lot more complicated than she ever thought.
Jax has finally realized that his allergy to marriage has nothing to do with the institution itself, and everything to do with the women in his bed—or more specifically, the one woman not in his bed. Her reaction to their one night together has him scrambling to regroup. So he does what he knows best—he disappears, and he thinks. The plan?—convince Pepper into staying with him at a secluded cabin for one week. One week of pretending to be a happily married couple to show her how great they could be together.
EXCERPT:
Marching into the main room, she confronted her friend-come-raving-lunatic.
“Forget Misery. You’re in definite Psycho territory here!”
A tint of red darkened his cheeks. At least he had the decency to blush. His show of embarrassment gave her hope that there was still a chance to reason with him.
“I know it looks bad”
“Looks bad? Looks bad? Jesus, Jax, you bought a closet full of clothes!”
“I didn’t want you to get cold. You’re such a Miami girl.”
“And my shampoo?”
“I wanted you to feel at home.”
“And the drawer filled with lingerie?”
He grinned at her. Stupid, sexy dimples.
“Okay, that one was more for me than you, but you can’t blame a guy for being hopeful.”
She stared at him and tried to take deep, calming breaths.
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.
“What exactly is your grand plan here? What are we supposed to accomplish trapped up on this mountain?”
He planted his arms across his chest and gave her a long, unreadable look.
“We live here for one week, like a real married couple,” he said finally.
She opened her mouth to retort, but he cut her off.
“Consider this a trial run. If at the end of the seven days, you’re not convinced we’ll be amazing together, I’ll let you walk away, and I’ll drop the whole thing.”
“I can’t just not go back to Miami, I have work—”
“I called your assistant this morning. She’s cleared your schedule for the next week.”
“My family—”
“All think you’re on a much-needed and overdue vacation. They say ‘Hi,’ by the way.”
Her left eyelid trembled. Was it possible to develop a chronic tick in a matter of minutes?
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.
“And how exactly is a real couple supposed to live?”
“We do the things any other vacationing couple would do. We spend time with each other, go on walks, have romantic dinners.” He sent her a heavy lidded gaze. “We sleep together,” he said huskily.
Her body heated at his words, and her mouth went dry at the thought of being in a bed with him again. She let her gaze drift to his crotch and bit back a moan. He was most definitely aroused.
As if sensing her gaze, she could swear she saw his cock thump against his zipper.
She drew her gaze away from the hypnotic view as he made his way towards her with long, smooth steps.
“I’m not having sex with you again,” she said shakily. “That’s what got us into this mess to begin with. If we hadn’t slept together in the first place, you wouldn’t be proposing marriage right now.”
“That’s where you’re wrong.” He placed a hand on her lower back and drew her into his warmth.
The look in his eyes had her catching her breath. Crazy Jax she could handle. Aroused Jax was a whole other story.
He leaned down and nuzzled her throat with his nose before whispering in her ear.
“The sex only helps prove my point, but I’ll make you a deal.”
Her stomach quivered at the feel of his lips at the flesh of her ear. She cleared her throat before responding.
“Does it involve you coming to your senses?”
The rumble of his chuckle vibrated up his chest and against her sensitive nipples as one of his hands smoothed down her back and squeezed her ass.
“No, but it should put you at ease.”
His meandering hand was making it hard for her to concentrate. All she could do was snort in reply, silently begging her hips not to give in and rub against him.
“For the next seven days, we get to pet each other as much as we want, fondle and taste to our heart’s content, but I won’t fuck you, Pep,” he said while nibbling at the soft skin of her throat.
It took a minute for her lust-addled brain to process his statement.
“But you said—”
He lifted his head and placed a soft, too-short kiss on her lips before stepping away.
“I said we’ll sleep together. Before we have sex again, I want you fully willing to be my wife and nothing less,” he said, a serious expression flattening his lips.
She searched his eyes, but his gaze didn’t waver. She grasped at the last life-line she could find.
“I don’t think I can be what you need, Jax.”
“And what exactly do you think I need?”
“I’m not exactly a submissive kind of woman,” she said.
She frowned as he snorted at her statement.
“No shit.”
“I’m serious, Jax. I don’t think I can be the type of woman you seem to want. Our night together was good—”
“Amazing,” he said firmly. “It was amazing.”
“Whatever, fine amazing,” she said, not wanting to go down that road at the moment. “But I’m not wired to be bossed around and told what to do. You want a submissive woman, and I’m just not that.”
He shook his head sadly at her. It hurt to see his look of disappointment, but it was what she expected. She wouldn’t take her words back because they were the truth. As much as she enjoyed him dominating her in bed she knew that the bedroom was as far as she would allow it.
“Pep, if I wanted a submissive woman, we wouldn’t even be here right now.”
“But—”
“Do I want to tie you down and fuck you senseless? Hell yeah. I can’t wait to see you bound and spread-eagled for me again.”
He reached up and cupped her heated cheeks, tilting her face up to meet his gaze.
“And I can’t wait to see your nipples in pretty little clamps, tight and hard just begging to be sucked.”
Her breathing was way past erratic, but she couldn’t look away from his heated gaze.
“But that’s where it ends. It stays with sex. I like your kick-ass attitude, Pep. I don’t want a woman who isn’t willing to argue and fight. What I prefer in the bedroom doesn’t extend to the rest of our relationship.”
Her heart sank as she saw her chances of surviving the next week with her heart unscathed deteriorate in a pile of ash.
“I don’t want to change who you are, Pep. I just want to prove that we work together. Give this week a chance,” he said.
A heavy sigh worked its way past the lump in her throat.
“You’ve got yourself a deal, Mr. Grey,” she told him.
It almost hurt to see his answering smile of relief.
“Well, Mrs. Grey, I think it’s time for lunch. How ’bout I fix you a grilled cheese sandwich and then we head out for a walk?” He pulled her back in for a hug.
She laid her head on his chest and breathed in his scent. She had a fleeting thought that traipsing around in the woods with him sounded like fun. Apparently, insanity was contagious.
“Yeah, sure. Why the hell not?”
