Our final day in Ireland was capped off with a trip up 3,127 foot Mount Brandon (Cnoc Bréanainn). Portals through the clouds to the Atlantic Ocean and magical ridges dropping to miniature lakes. As they say in Ireland, “That’s the stuff!” I couldn’t agree more. Can’t wait to go back!

Although we came to Ireland for mountains and fells, Rickey Gates and I were drawn to the coastline near Dingle. The rain was torrential all day, but the last few hours we were greeted with high clouds and rays of sun. It was one of those magical times the ribbon of singletrack begged to be followed and I felt like I could run forever.

Got inspired to try making homemade cultured hot sauce while at my buddy Kyle’s farm in New Mexico. Just three ingredients: rehydrated chilies, vinegar, salt. A few days in, starting to see a small layer of ferment on bottom.
