Summary: Welcome to the world of Darkest Desires where the eternal fires are stoked by sin, lust and unfulfilled wanting. Demons in every incarnation are waiting to quench their own appetite and reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Darkest Desires explores the most primal needs lurking in everyone. This anthology from Hot Ink Press (an Erotic Imprint of Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing) features some of today's cutting-edge erotica romance authors.
The ReviewYet another anthology but I have to say a great one, this had a lot of my favourite authors bound together to bring us all a taste of their fantastic thoughts, This is definitely an over 18’s read only but boy, well worth growing up for, in my opinion, that is, the stories in here will have you panting for more, one after another of pure brilliance, the characters were all planned out for each story and the plot for each, had me on my toes, looking forward to another anthology with relish now, will be passing the info for this one on to the mums in the playground, they are going to love it, 5/5

Blamed for her fiancé’s death, Brigid fears she will suffer the same fate as the other village outcasts, the mysterious Willow Women. When Connell suddenly reappears, Brigid is overjoyed, but everything is not as it seems. Consumed by his desire for beauty and celebration, Connell abandons his responsibilities, and Brigid soon finds herself drawn into a passionate, dangerous world of two. When Brigid discovers the truth behind Connell's transformation she’s forced to choose between two men and two worlds. Brigid’s struggle leads her into glittering, ruthless Faerie, where she must rescue her true love from a terrible sacrifice or lose him forever.
The ReviewWell, I was unsure of this one but to be totally honest with you, it was so good, I could not put it down, I just got so involved in Brigid’s life, I was kind of put out when I finished the book and had to come back to reality, I was intrigued by the life Brigid had and what she had to put up with the villagers, I really felt Sorry for her, I would not have minded seeing what her life would have been like if she had stayed with the fae although I loved how the story panned out in the end, it was a great story line, with plenty of added twists and turns which added to the book for me, highly recommended to all my friends and family, 4.5/5

Summary: Young Adult paranormal romance/urban fantasy novel.Their choice had been taken away long before they were born. Two Seattle 16-year-old Shape Shifters, Jatred and Jasmira, are torn between following their hearts and protecting the order of the world. The path of the star-crossed lovers leads only to destruction. The ancient Shape Shifter Races--the Winter wolves and the Summer leopards-- live among humans and fit perfectly into modern life, while keeping secret societies with their own laws and traditions. Two Goddesses, Crystal and Amber command their respective Races. One is on a quest to tilt the scale of power to her side. The other will never let it happen, even if it means sacrificing Jatred and Jasmira's love. The Amulet commissioned to bring stability into the world remains hidden and concealed with the help of advanced technology. Jatred is the guardian of the Amulet and key to the Goddesses' conflict. When the forces of nature are disrupted, earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions rake the world. The Goddesses go to war and summon all their Shifters to join in the conflict. Jatred and Jasmira must fight not only for their love but to protect the future of both Races and humankind.
The ReviewI loved this book, I love shifter stories and this one was just that, a great shifter book, there was intrigue, drama, funny moments, I love all this in a book, it kept me hooked from the get go, I loved the plot of the story, there is usually a conflict when it comes to a love story, but this one was so much more than that, I thought the main characters were very well portrayed, I would love to sit inside the authors head, I love a happy ending but would love to have another outing with Jasmira and Jatred and all their friends, so hopefully this won’t be the end of them and the author has another book inside her head, I would gladly read it, infact I will look forward to it, Highly recommend this, already recommended to my daughter, she will love it, 5/5

My review of Soul Mates: Scent by Elizabeth A Lance from Julie Newberry

Ebook: Soul Mates, ScentAuthor: Elizabeth A. Lance Fiction, Paranormal,This review may contain spoilersI was sent this by the publisher for an honest reviewSummary: When the girl of his dreams walks into his homeroom class one October morning, Max Fergus, a seventeen year old quarterback and star student, has his world turned upside down; everything he has ever thought about himself and his life is changed in that instant and nothing will ever be the same again, because once you know you aren’t human, there’s no going back, no pretending you are less than you are. Anna Lissa Felidae, a pure blooded shifter has been searching for her soul mate, the one guy that was meant for her, and just when she is sure she is about to run out of time, Diana, goddess of the hunt, appears to her and sends her in the right direction. With another shifter on her trail, one who is determined to have her no matter what the cost, Anna has just three short weeks to convince Max he is a pure blooded shifter, among other things, and teach him to fight so they can be together. With the help of a few Fae friends, a motley crew of shifters and Max’s best friend Tony, they are sure to win.The ReviewWow, what an awesome book, I love shifters, what more can I say, I liked the plotline on this one, the various different entities were amazing to read about, non of them were your basic run of the mill ones either, take our hero in this story, Max, who is a shifter, but did not know it, who also has something a little extra to help him on his way, Don’t want to say too much, because of the spoilers, but he is a great character, The author really did him justice, Anna Lissa was a great character too, she knew what she wanted and took it, This was a wonderful coming of age book with many twists and turns to help them along the way, highly recommend it to all those after a great adventure, 4/5

The two young lovers simply want to live in peace but they are constantly hunted because of their special talents.Brighton has to overcome great odds and even death itself if he is going to save himself and Lilian from the evil determined to destroy them. The ReviewI Loved this storyline, nothing like a lost love to get the story going, no it’s not a soppy love story at all, it is so much more than that, there is drama, there is laughter, there are scenes of great sadness, put it this way, I cried, so if you like to run through all your emotions in one book, I would highly recommend this one to you, I loved the hero in this one, Brighton had it all, I can’t wait to hear more about Mischief and what he gets upto, I don’t want to say too much due to spoilers but what I will say is this, The author really pulled me into the story, I really must get book 2, the plot line was something I have never read about before, the different talents that were incorporated into the story were awesome, very different to the usual paranormal stories, This is a great start to a series, looking forward to book 2 with relish, Thankyou M J Schutte, 5/5

My review of Ruby Blue & Deja Blue by Julie Cassar from Julie Newberry

Ebook: Ruby BlueAuthor: Julie CassarFiction, Paranormal,This review may contain spoilersI was given this book by the author for an honest reviewSummary: Meet Ruby. She’s your average (somewhat dorky) ice-cream eating, garden-loving teenager, who is constantly being annoyed by her little brother, is best friends with possibly the only Goth kid in town and, oh yeah…she sees fairies. After Nick Martino (possibly the hottest guy she’s ever known) finally asks her out, she can barely manage a two-word sentence when a bizarre incident strikes their lakeside town.Stumbling bare-foot through some interesting dates, will she ever find love? And what does Ruby do when more strange events continue to occur? Will she keep her gift of Fairy Sight a secret? As an ancient myth unfolds and new mystic fairy tales come to life, Ruby and her menagerie of friends tackle some extraordinary circumstances with her very ordinary abilities in this modern day fairy tale. See what legends come to life in “Ruby Blue,” a young adult fantasy fiction novel and the first installment of the Ruby Blue series. The ReviewI thought this book was great, it is a great start to a series, I can’t wait to read the second book, It is called Deja Blue, I loved all the characters in this one, especially Brennan, there was just something about him, You can keep Mr Hotness, I like Brennan, dorky or not!!!! Ruby the heroine of our story, is your typical teenager, I loved that about her, She never tried to be something she wasn’t, I originally thought this was written by a teenager until I looked into the author more, a great writer in my book, as she got the teenage lingo and mannerisms down to a tea, some authors try too hard, I loved all the references to The Wizard of Oz, brought back some great memories for me, I don’t think I have read many faerie stories, if any, so was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this one so much, I will be giving this one to my daughter, as I think she will love it, she is at that age where boys are starting to interest her, I think she will love the references to Mr Hotness, and then all girls love a faerie story, so I am told 4.5/5,

Ebook: Deja BlueAuthor: Julie CassarFiction, Paranormal,This review may contain spoilersI was given this by the author for an honest reviewSummary: Ruby's back with her fairy friends and this time, she stumbles upon some of the mysteries of the Water Court. Now, being pursued by an unknown force, Ruby's fairy friends step in to protect her. However, trouble seems to follow Ruby around every corner and even her fairy guardians need to call in reinforcements...but at what cost? Faced with a seemingly impossible challenge, Ruby must decide if and how she will help out her fairy friends. Will she pledge her allegiance to the Earthen Court? Or will she find new comfort and protection in the Water Court? Become entangled and entranced in Ruby's latest adventure and relive the magic in "Deja Blue," the second instalment of the Ruby Blue Series. The ReviewWow, just Wow, there was a lot more excitement in this one than the first and I thought that one was the bees-knees, I knew there was more to Brennen, won’t say anymore, spoilers and all that, I can’t wait for Book 3, This series just gets better and better, I am loving the way this author writes, she has hit the nail on the head as far as I am concerned, Now I know my daughter will love this one, she loves mermaids, doesn’t every girl? The plot in this book had me stuck to it, like glue, I actually stayed up too late to finish this one, but I could not put it down, Now that’s a sign of a great book, in my eyes anyway, We have all our favourite characters in this one as well as a few new ones, who only added to this great story in my opinion, I would highly recommend this one, I would read book 1 first although I think you could probably get away without reading the first if you wanted to read this as a stand alone, as everything is basically introduced to you in this book, which is great, 5/5

The ReviewWell what can I say, I loved the first book in this series, so read this with trepidation but it did not disappoint, all of our favourite characters from Midnight Hunter were in it, also in it we met again some evil ones that were in the first book, which only added to this story, I won’t say too much because of spoilers etc, We also met some nice new characters who really made the read for me, There were some great action sequences, which were awesome, I loved the storyline, I was on the edge of my seat through the whole book, I believe I would have done exactly the same as Donna does through out this book, I really don’t think Dawn of the Hunter could have been written any better, Highly recommended for all those after a great story, can’t wait to read book 3 (The final hour of the Hunter) 5.5/5

The ReviewJust like the first in this series, this one has you hooked from the start, I have waited a while to read this, just to see if you could read it as a stand alone and in my opinion I think you could, it’s well detailed, The characters are very well described, You can easily understand what is happening in this one, I loved the first one, Evershade and this one had me loving it too, All the characters were there from the first, with some added extra’s, which only added to the story, I love the way this author writes, I love the plot with this one, don’t want to say too much, what with spoilers and all that, just want to say, I am so glad he came back, Those who have read it will know who I mean, This is recommended to all who enjoy a good book, just like me, 5/5. The Life We Dream by J H Glaze from Julie Newberry

Ebook: The life we dream
Author: J H Glaze
Fiction, Paranormal,
This review may contain spoilers
I was given this by the author for an honest review,
Summary:This story is a departure from the Horror/Thriller Genres for J.H. Glaze and explores the author's views on the enduring aspects of true love. When Jack Bailey receives a call from an old friend, he discovers that the girl he has loved for most of his life is in hospice and only has a short time to live. Through his memories, we learn of the development of his feelings for her and how his unrequited love came to be. Come with Jack on his journey of recollection in this bittersweet tale of hope and discovery that may well allow you to believe that anything is possible in 'The Life We Dream'.
The ReviewI was completely thrown when I read this book, I cannot believe this came from the same author as the John Hazard series, It was a completely different way of writing, I was hooked after the first couple of pages, I enjoyed the jumping between the past & the present, I know some people don’t like that in a story but believe me it really adds to this great story, it certainly made the story for me, I was bawling like a baby at the end, I don’t want to explain why as this would give a lot of spoilers, so you will just have to read it to find out, I would highly recommend this book for all the cynics about Love out there, yes there are a few of you, I’m sure. We all have that one person from our past that we would do anything for, This one gets 5/5 from me.
