Another 5 star review for Warriors of the Heynai on Amazon UK ;

'I really enjoyed the first book in this series but the sequel was even better. Full of exciting battles and journeys, it is taylor made for the big screen and will entertain readers of all ages for many years to come. Timeless classic.'

Would be great if they were all Goodreads members ? :-)

Which one ?

Bought two books today and struggled to decide which one to read first; Lionheart by Sharon Penman or The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins? Decisions, decisions...
I love the freedom of being an ex-author. :-)

New Review - Amazon

Another of my free downloads by an author I have never read or heard of before now and one who is going on my list of most promising story-weavers.
Why? For a first time story-weaver this story came as a real surprise, I was hooked from the start and the story was so fluid and well woven it was as if I was reading a story from a well-seasoned story-weaver!
I was drawn into this world of M. J. Webb and found characters and a world so complex that I didn't want to leave.
The application of the graphic depictions of this world and its characters helped to portray a vibrant, convincing story, one that you could easily imagine seeing on the movie screen.
The story itself is woven with mystery, humour, expectation, passions, and the long-standing battle of good vs. evil.
I look forward to reading the second book in this trilogy "Jake West - Warriors of the Heynai"
"Jake West - The Keeper of the Stones" is a superb story for all age groups, you just require a little vision to make it come to life in your minds-eye.
So to conclude; this is a very well woven fantasy adventure and the story-weaver can only get better at his craft.
The story is very involving and will make you want to see what happens to the world of Jake West and his friends.
I actually bought and downloaded "The Jake West Trilogy" for only £3.08p and am looking forward to reading about what happens next.

Radio appearance

I have received a phone call from the manager of BBC Radio WM inviting me to appear on air to discuss my books and self publishing in general. The show will be live and take place on the 3rd of January anytime from 11:00 onwards (I'm to be there for 11:00).
I believe I will be a guest of Adrian Goldberg and that it will incorporate a radio phone-in.
Needless to say I am very honoured and thrilled.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you all.

latest review

Well Mr Webb, you have exceeded my expectations again by putting your all into a final book that keeps you on the edge of your reading glasses throughout.

Jake West faces his greatest challenge against the forces of evil along with his band of new found friends and comrades and not forgetting his best bud Ben.

The Author packs this final book with everything to make this a great read and some wonderful twists and turns along the way, I never saw some of these coming!!

Or is it the final book?? If you don't understand then read the book people...

My novels

The Jake West Trilogy by M J Webb

Jake West - The Keeper of the Stones
Jake West - Warriors of the Heynai
Jake West – The Estian Alliance

The Jake West Trilogy is an epic fantasy adventure series which will have you laughing, crying and begging for more. Compared by some readers to the great author C S Lewis, M J Webb’s novels have been described as a cross between Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The story tells of two ordinary boys who unlock by accident a deadly secret which threatens to destroy us all. Hunted across worlds the teenagers escape to a fantasy land. There, our intrepid heroes will have to rely on each other and the alliances they make in order to survive against the overwhelming forces of evil who now seek their destruction. The exciting novels contain heroes in abundance, battles, wizards, dragons, spirits, warriors and beasts, the undead, prophecies... and just plain human guts and determination. There are strong themes of loyalty and friendship. These are books all parents will want their children to read and be inspired by.
‘The Estian Alliance is the spectacular conclusion to the Jake West trilogy which will take you on the ride of your life. This story is full of action, adventure and twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat,’ said one reviewer. ‘A pleasure to read aloud to my sons, we were engrossed in the action from start to finish. The characters are extremely well written, and you WILL form an emotional attachment to them. They're so well crafted, they remain in your thoughts for a long time,’ said another.

The Jake West Trilogy – the most fun you’ll have had in a long time.

Wonderful Review

Just noticed this wonderful review on Amazon.com (US). Thrilled beyond measure. :-)

I enjoyed the first birth, I bought it after seeing on face book under a free ebook that he just finished it, so I bought it and loved every bit!
Second book I had to wait for and the anticipation was worth it.
The third book was so enjoyable and it was everything you would want in a good book. I will read them again. This is a book about friendship and doing for others with great adventures to enjoy along the way.
This is a must read for Adults or Young Adults.
My kids would not read it and said it did not spark their interest, I think... how could it not spark your interest. There is not one part of all the books that I did not think should be there or inappropriate. I leave this series thankful I had the adventure and hoping Mr Webb has only just begun his writing.
