Black Friday Blog Hop - Holiday Tips

Picture Welcome to our Black Friday Blog Hop. Boy are there some great prizes, but before I get to that, I want to share with you my holiday tip.

Shop online! I am an online shopper all the way. I load my cart up while I sit in my PJ's and then sit back and let the UPS mad do all the work. Crowds of people frustrate me, so I am not one of those people you will find getting up bright and early for Black Friday. In fact, blog hops like this one are right up my alley. I will occasionally leave my house for a deal, but I often find you can get a lot of the same deals online.

So. now onto what my blog and these other awesome blogs have for you. One random commenter (can be on any of the blogs) will win a Kindle Fire, along with all the prizes below! That's the easiest kind of shopping I can think of...

New Author Blog Hop

Picture Hi and welcome! I'm Lacey Wolfe and I'm a new author. My dream came true on August 2nd 2011 (also my sons 7th birthday), when Beachwalk Press offered me a contract on my novella Amber's Muse. That day changed everything and on October 17th, it was released in e-book format. Since then, its been a whirlwind. Be sure to check out my coming soon page to see what I mean. Today I want to offer one lucky winner a change to win their own copy of Amber's Muse. Best of all its simple to enter. Please just leave me a comment and make sure to include your email.

This giveaway is for readers 18 and over as my novella is on the erotic side. Winner will be announced on December 1st 2011.

By day Amber's a librarian, and by night she hides away writing erotic romance novels. She has just one problem—not enough sexual experience to pull from. A recent steamy dream leaves Amber wondering if her neighbor Jax might be just the guy who can help her. He seems almost perfect to use as a sexual guinea pig, especially since she doesn't have to worry about falling in love with him.
Jax has lived next door to Amber for a year and has tried everything he can think of to get her to notice him, but it hasn't worked. Until recently. When Amber approaches him asking for his help, he's ready to jump on board. When he learns exactly what kind of help she needs, he's definitely willing.
Becoming involved with someone like Jax simply isn't an option for Amber. He barely works, can't manage his money, and has no ambition in life. So why does he suddenly seem so right for her?

Guest Author: Tamaria Soana

Please welcome Tamaria Soana to my blog today. I'm very excited to have her today. She has recently sold her first novella to Midnight Magic Press. Her book Obsession will be available March 2, 2012.

LW: So, you've gotten a contract on your book Obsession. Congrats! The neat thing people don't know is that you are still writing the book. Tell me how is this going?
TS: I'm, almost done! I wrote the climax today, I'm three chapters away from it being complete. I decided at the last minute to add a chapter in the middle, therefore affecting the following chapter. So I had to edit and tweak some scenes.

LW: Do you fear the brick wall that will throw you off schedule? (brick wall…aka writers block?)
TS: No, but now that you brought it up I do. LOL!  All the main scenes are written, I just need to knit them together. I have been frustrated with the technical aspect of this story, I really never want to research stalking and the crazy things stalkers do again. I wrote and rewrote many scenes, I just wanted to get it right and for it to be as realistic as possible.

LW: Now, tell is the fantastic blurb for this book.
TS: Obsession's synopsis
Alexandria Stevens is a New York Times Best Selling romance novelist. She is married to the very handsome and business tycoon Hudson Smyth. After she does a guest appearance on a popular talk show, she creates a twitter account. Within a few short weeks she meets a fan of hers Jillian on twitter. They become fast friends, or that's what Alex thinks. When Alex finds herself being stalked, the person she least expects is her new friend. What she doesn't know is that Jillian has been obsessed with her for years. She wants everything she has, even her husband.

LW: Any tips for aspiring authors?
TS: Never give up! Dreams do come true. On the wall near my desk I have my favorite quote, Reach for the moon, if you miss you will land among the stars.

LW: What is a must have food to snack while writing?
TS:  Popcorn, chips, or pretzels.

LW: Favorite Thanksgiving dish?
TS:That's toss up between the turkey and mashed potatoes.

LW: Holiday shopping tips?
TS: I wait for until the last minute. My tip would be NOT to wait until the last minute. I find that I'm always stressed the week before Christmas.

LW: And finally, is there anything you would like to share?
TS: I'm working on my next book called Southern Embrace.

Southern Embrace's  Synopsis

When the man you thought was your forever is suddenly stolen away, can an old flame spark a new love?

Savannah Clark's high school sweetheart, Lance moves away after graduation. He cuts all ties with her, leaving her devastated. A year later she meets the wonderfully handsome and older Stephen Grant. He sweeps her off her feet, showing her passion she never knew existed and what it's like to be truly loved. They soon marry and start their lives together. A terrible accident changes everything and Savannah is left heartbroken and a widow at the young age of twenty-two. When she least expects it, she runs into the man that first touched her heart, Lance. Can she get past her broken heart and find love again?

My goal is to have Southern Embrace completed by the end of the year.

Thank you for being here. I'm looking forward to your release.

Six Sentence Sunday - 11/20

Hi and welcome to my Six Sentence Sunday. Today I have taken six sentences from a naughty scene in my debut novella, Amber's Muse

Quick background:
Amber has just finished pleasing Jax and herself.
******
"Wow, that was the best head I think I have ever had," Jax said breathless.
"I'll take that as a compliment. I never knew doing that could get me so hot."
"Do you need me to help you out?" He pulled her toward him.
Leaning in closer, Amber rubbed her palms across his chest. "No, I took care of it."
******
Hope you enjoyed this six sentences.

Tempting The Manny

This past Friday, Midnight Magic Press, who my short story is with was having an event called "Friday Fun." They wanted you to pitch an idea or something your working on to them. So, I pitched a stand-alone erotic romance novella I was writing mainly for fun. When I would have a tough with a current work, I'd head to that one. It is titled Tempting The Manny. Well, they loved the first few chapters and where I was headed with the story and offered a contract. This novella was nearly done, so I worked my butt of this weekend to finish writing it and edit it. Today I turned it in. They expect a March release.

I'm very excited. Right now in my future I have 4 upcoming releases. FOUR! How did this happen? Not long ago I just got a contract for Amber's Muse and now I have four releases ahead of me. Fingers crossed the story ideas keep coming and the words keep flowing. Oh, and that the edits don't kill me!

Six Sentence Sunday - 11/13/2011

Picture Welcome! I'm excited your stopping by! This week I am giving you six sentences from my debut novella Amber's Muse. Last week many of you asked if I was going to continue from the six sentences I had just posted. Of course. If that's what my reads want.

So a quick background, Amber has just told Jax that she is writing an erotic romance and and asks if he'll help.

This weeks six:
"Are you asking me what I think you are?" Jax's eyes widened.

"What do you think I'm asking?"

"You want to have sex with me to help with your book?"

"Yes."

Jax stared back, his eyes darkening with passion.

"Where do I sign up?" he responded.

Fool Me Once - Blurb

Picture Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…

Drew is the last person Skylar wanted to see across from her at a local bar. A month ago he'd wined and dined her all weekend, leaving her feeling fully in love, but then she awoke alone in an empty hotel room and she hadn't heard from him since.

The weekend Drew spent with Skylar was phenomenal. There had never been anyone who made him feel as complete as she did. He shouldn't have disappeared, he should have called, but his feelings for her scared him, so he distanced himself. But when he saw her again, he knew he couldn't stay away any longer.

Skylar's determined not to give Drew another chance to hurt her, but he's just as determined to win her back. Although it won't be easy, he's up to the challenge, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

New Work In Progress

I first want to say, I love writing my contemporary erotic romances. They fun and I enjoy the paces of these types of stories. I plan to write them for years to come. However, this week I decided to start a new project. Something clean and full-length.  This wasn't actually in my plans for at least a year. I wanted to get my Hot Bods series done and then start working on this. And don't worry, my Hot Bods series is not taking a back seat. It is such a fun series I couldn't stop if I wanted too. But, I have friends and family who are very interested in reading my work, but aren't interested in the naughty details. So, as I thought about it, I really wanted my mom to be able to read something. She has always been one of my biggest supporters. So, I decided to start something. Being a full-length I get to really set up a story. It doesn't have to be hot and steamy from page one. I can't wait to see how it turns out. My goal is to have it completed by the first of the year.

I will keep you updated on this.
