Finding my passion again for the stories:
It
has been a long time since I have been emotionally involved with a story. At
first I really did not put my heart and soul into what I did. I did with some
stories, but not the way I am now. I read over what I written originally for my
novel, and I now find bits and pieces to use to make the character shine
through. I got so involved I feel like I am the character.
That is what being a
story teller is about, and it is about taking readers on a journey through the
world you create. It is about making them be a part of it too. That is what
writing is about. I love it, and it makes me happy. It makes me cry tears of
joy knowing I finally got my passion back after having it gone thanks to other
life experiences interfering. I am not letting it happen because I know I have
what it takes to be an awesome story teller. I was born this way, and all the
people in the world will not stop me from achieving my dreams: Becoming a good,
successful stay at home author. I love being able to write whenever. I am
writing notes to my story as I edit giving he characters more depth of
emotions. I am creating a fantastical world full of magic, and creatures
galore.
If
you want something as bad as I do go after it, and never let anyone tell you
that you cannot do it. Cause there is a saying I have heard: "Go Big or go
home." Put your heart and soul into the work you are doing, and you will not
regret it in the first place.
Thoughts?

Novel in the Works, and Progress on the Others:
Thanks to my current job I have another book in the works. I am writing one about working for a company called Willy's Place. It is not a real company at all, but a made up one inspired by retail stores in general. That is right retail, and the main character is the vampire named Scarlet Nightshade, and I am bringing her back for another book. She is the star of The Killer Contract Agency two, and she has another book called Scarlet's Redemption. I love writing about her because she is a sassy vampire. Stephan will make appearances in it too. And she will account her tails of customers behaving badly, but there will be some good situations too. I am letting people see what really goes on as an employee working in a retail store.
As for the other projects I have been working on Hexlax some, and I will try to get a traditional contract for the Astral Witch series, and Blood Fire & Moon Watch the rest will be self-published because there are more books as far as character stories. There could possibly be more stories for the Blood Fire & Moon Watch series too in the future.
I am an avid reader as well, and I know I promised to review The Writer, and I am working on it when I can. I have been busy with work, and school. Now that my hours are being shorter after this week I will have more time to read. I have also discovered I can read and write during my lunch break which is what I have been doing to make writing a part of my life. I will be writing a blog post about making time for writing too since that is what I am experimenting with.
Any thoughts?

Writing and Life…And Hunger Games!
Last week nearly killed me thanks to working the whole week, but now that my schedule is back to where I want it I will keep going. I am printing out my first novel, and the extra scenes. The other copy is so old, and used that I want to start fresh. I have been working a lot, and going to school. I just got a new keyboard to type up my stories easier as much as I love my laptop there is nothing better then using a keyboard separate from it. I am also working on editing the anthology, and hope to have the feedback for it in a month. You can say I am a little impatient in getting it out there, but editing takes some time…I even saw…The Hunger Games movie!*Spoilers Ahead if you have not read the book*This is what I think of it: I read the book, and I can say that the movie did not disappoint me at all. I loved seeing The Capitol. I loved seeing the control room for the games, and the outfits that the people were wearing were spectacular. I loved the actors who played Gale and Peeta. Jennifer Lawrence was a good Katniss Everdeen too, and she brought the character to life really well. It all takes place in the city of Panem, and there are 12 districts. The Hunger Games was the Capitols way of controlling the population. It was pretty quick in the jump to the games. I was surprised about how fast the action was, and thankful it was not that gory. It was bloody, but not to the point where you could see inside the contenders bodies. The environment of district 12 was incredibly done, and I still cannot get over how amazing the Capitol was in the movie. I was amazed by the tracker jackers too, but they could have looked more menacing then looking like ordinary wasps. The dogs were the final touch, and they were cool too, and I was happy they did not look like the contestants because it seemed like that was random in the book. I loved Woody Harrelson as Haymitch, and I figured he played that role beautifully too. The Hunger Games was a good movie overall, and I would recommend seeing it in theaters because it has everything. It has Action, romance, and showing a tyrannical government not to mess with kids.Until next time,Wolfdreamer25

Writing news, books, and magazines to review too!
I have finally finished the anthology Karma Turns on The Wicked. I just gave the story to readers I trust to look over grammar and wording issues. I will make it free when it comes out on the weekends. I will try to post something on the blog more starting every Monday.
I have not really had time to do anything writing related that much with work and school eating up my time. I have gotten some writing done story idea wise, and a little bit of reading for fun like: Bloodlines by Richelle Mead, Night Veil by Yasmine Galenorn, the rest of The Sexiest Vampire Alive by Kerrelyn Sparks, and various ebooks by authors too. I plan on reading more writing related books. I have worked on some of my projects. Here is what I have been working on, and my progress so far:· Blood Fire & Moon Watch: Done, but I have to put it all together and edit it.
· Wolf Soul: Outline and some pages.
· Killer Contract 2: Outline, and 1 chapter finishing two. I just found my outline chapter by chapter finally after losing it.
· Psychic Vampires and Witches Oh My!: Outline, and a few chapters need to do more of a chapter by chapter outline too, so I can know where I am going.
· Hexlax: Outline, and one Chapter going on two.
· Lady Black: Same status as above.
· Retail Sucks! Retail Diaries: Outline done, but need a more extensive one.
· Popular Witches: Outline, and a few pages into it.
· Soul Snatcher: Outline, and a few pages.
Some of the outlines are only a page long, but when I work on the story I will write a more extensive one with chapter by chapter descriptions to know where I am going.
I have a ton of work to do, but I am mainly focusing on Killer 2 and Psychic Vampires, and Witches On my! The two main characters Scarlet from Killer 2 and Sapphire from the Psychic vampires series appear in the upcoming anthology, and the first chapters of the two novels appear in the anthology as well.
I have also realized how fun writing exercises are, and that is why I have:· Writing Fiction Step by Step By: Josip Novakovich
· The 4am Breakthrough by Brian Kiteley
· The 3am Epiphany by Brian Kiteley
· Now Write: Fiction Writing Exercises from Todays Best Writers and Teachers. Edited by: Sherry Ellis. Authors: many since the writers have their own exercises.
I will do a blog post on each of them, and I have other books on the craft of writing too. I will eventually do a blog post on The Writer, and Writers Digest too since I buy those magazines every month because of how helpful they are on writing tips and publishing. Another book I have is Stephan King's On Writing.I got past the memoir half, and now I am on to the fiction part where he talks about writing fiction. I have the Plot Whisperer too by Martha Alderson. I will try to keep everyone updated every Monday. I am even going to see the Hunger Games movie on the 26th. I will let you know what I think about it.
Anymore writing exercise books to review on the blog that I missed? Anything you guys would like to see for possible blog topics, and questions you have for me? Guest posts are welcome too just send me an email at:Jdsamuels25(at)yahoo(dot)com.
Until next time,

Changes being made:
The blog Reviews for Writers is being combined with my author blog since it has to do with reviewing writing related books. I will be posting my reviews when I finish a writing related book. I will put it up on my website, and create a separate page for writing book reviews two. I have school, writing, and work to deal with. I would rather have a blog and website to deal with instead of two blogs.
I hope you do not mind the changes, and thank you for reading my posts.

Love and Revenge
I have been busy with work and studying for tests. I will be blogging more on my time off from work. I have been through a lot lately. The one thing I have discovered though is I lost the urge to write revenge, and I will admit one of the reasons why I wrote one of my stories is because I loved the thought of people getting what they deserve. I loved the thought of people who are horrible to others dying by people who they victimized.
The answer to revenge though is not letting them effect you what so ever. It is no longer revenge that motivates me, but love that does. It is an anchor in a way, and without it then you go down a road you do not want to go. The people that wrong you and pick on you are actually a bunch of jealous people who are miserable with their lives. They put down others to make themselves feel better, and then it does, but the feeling goes away then they are looking to do it all over again.
The same thing goes for spending too much money on things because you think it would make you happy. In all reality it is actually instant gratification that is making you behave that way. I used to be like that, and I just stopped because I have all I could possibly want right now. A mom who loves me, and cooks for me, a dad who spoils me, friends, technology, and a loving, caring boyfriend that is all I could ask for.
People bullied me not because of this or that, but because I have a good life. I am more grateful now for it. I love my Kindle Fire, Ipod touch, .38 revolver, Xbox 360, and PSP I was so busy I did not have time for friends or video games. I need those things though in order to be more happy, and hanging with friends is what makes me happy, and so do video games. The answer to revenge is not to hurt the person, but to forgive, move on, and do the things that make you happy. Working towards a successful career helps too.
Any thoughts on success being the best revenge?

Anthology draft done!! And Plans for it and the future on
I finally finished the anthology Karma Turns on the Wicked. All I have to do is type in the changes, edit it, and send it to beta readers. I am hoping to have the cover done in a few weeks too!! I was so happy I finally finished it I jumped around which is something I do not do as often anymore. I feel better now that I stopped taking medicine, and it made me sick I had to switch it. I feel alert, and all I plan on not writing revenge after the second Killer Contract book, and I am trying my hand at Young adult and Scifi.
I can already tell you what the anthology is about: Revenge stories, and there are even vampires, witches (Ones who can turn into any person just by looking at them), and I will introduce Scarlet Nightshade who is going to be staring in the Second Killer book. There will be excerpts of Die Bullies Die! The second Killer Contract book, and Psychic Vampires, and Witches oh my!
I plan on enrolling my book in the Kindle Select Program, and I will do a post on how it is going for me, but when the anthology comes out in March or April it will be free at first for a few days. I hope you enjoyed my updates..
Until next time,

What Movies and Tv shows can teach us about stories:
I have been watching mainly television shows, and movies I love to see over and over again. I have also realized what they can teach us as far as writing a good story. One of the things I have learned is to watch a television show or movie that is emotionally charged, and has likeable characters in it. The same can be applied to writing by making the situations in a novel you are writing more emotionally charged, and to make a more likeable character.
I love watching The Sorcerer's Apprentice because of the character Dave Stutler who is played by Jay Baruchel (He is a great actor by the way, and I loved him in Fanboys). He is a likeable, nerdy guy. I like the way he tries to get out of situations, and the way he can make things more awkward. I also loved Balthazar Blake played by Nicholas Cage. I loved the fact he was a tough sorcerer, but they also showed a softer side to him when he talked about his love interest.
I recently watched Lost Girl, and I thought finally they showed a television show about Fae culture. It is about time too since there are not that many tv shows about them out there. I loved the character Bo too, and I loved them showing her reactions to finding out who she really is. The themes in this resonate with people because she never knew who she was. It tells me to write characters with a goal. Give them more than just goal the end. Subplots are weaved into these shows like magic.
I also watched Stargate SG-1 for the first time too, and I loved the culture, and it was about Egypt too. It was awesome! I loved the smartass general too, but I hated when the kid and wife were killed it pissed me off. The point in that is to show how evil the guys are, but I loved it when the guy turned on the snake guys, and joined the team. I love shows that can hit me on all levels emotional, physical, and otherwise. That is what can help you write a damn good book. Emotional scenes, ones everyone can relate to, and that is why I write to reach people on a deeper level.
What resonates with you as far as tv shows and movies go? What is your favorite and why?
