Cut Scenes from Being a Vampire in Retail Sucks!

For one
reason or another scenes are cut from the story because it slows down the plot,
or in my case the character complains too much.

Here they
are as deleted scenes:

After
that I hope the rest of the shift is easy. The next person comes in line, and
instead of the usual plastic bags the woman brings in her own bags. These are
blue with handles, and I stare in horror at the damn demonic things. It looked
like a cashier’s worst nightmare. I really cursed the lady since I try to put
the bags on a sturdy belt, but the damn things keep falling.

“Oh, and
I really don’t want these.”

The lady
hands me a few items. “And what the hell do I do with them?”

She looks
at me. “Put them back.”

“Why
can’t you do it yourself are you lazy or something? Did your hands break, or
are the products too far for you to put it back yourself.”

“Ma’am
just stops arguing with me, and ring up my stuff. Stop giving me an attitude
because I am old ok.”

“That is no excuse to make us do it.”

She
glares at me, “Well…”

“Don’t
even start with me you old bitch.” I rung up her stupid items, and put them in
her stupid bad in her cart. She did not even offer to get her damn bags.

“Get your bags yourself. I am not your damn
butler.”

“I am
old.”

 “No…you’re just lazy.”

She
stared daggers at me meanwhile I let a smile creep up and I laughed. “Pick it
up.”

She did
as I asked and left. Leaving me to close the damn thing, and turn off the
light. Some idiot tries to put their things on my aisle.

“I am not
open sir.” And I walk away tired of the register screaming get me off this the
whole time, and tired of getting yelled at by the spoiled customers.

A lady
even told me to get off the register, and get her a bag that is not ripped then
treated me like I was a dumbass, and told my handler “Can she understand me?”
like I am a stupid child. Bitch! This is why I hate the register, and it is too
fast one after the other after another.

“Now wait
a minute this line was supposed to be open not closed.”

I stared straight at him, “It is closed
because I said so.”

Shithead
glares at me, “But your light is still on.” Oops I set it to flashing by
accident which is used to signal I need help by the SCSM, and I turn it off.

“I am
still closed asshole, and I want to get off the damned register because of
jerks like you.” He leaves. As I was trying to get out another customer tries
to walk through my line ignoring the fact that my light is fucking off. Jackass
chimes in, “She is closed.” Fuck you asshole customer.

I walked
away because I fucking hate the front registers after dealing with so many
assholes. Fiona’s Corner and Cafe is a big company. It says that they treat
every employee special. All lies since they treat you like a body instead of a
person. It really should say every employee is expendable and easily
replaceable. Once one employee is fired another one will take its place. I look
at the time: 2:45. God I step outside to cool off. I am happy to be able to
stay in the sunlight. A vampire like me can stay in the sun until I turn 1,000
years old.

Shoe
Scene extras:

Yeah
right like I would check for an asshole like him. Douche! Not to mention he
called me in a rude way. And his wife is rude too acting like she is entitled
to me serving her. I am a human being, or I was before I became a vampire, and
I deserve to be respected not treated like a dog. And as I make my way to the
rude couple I see a few customers run into another worker like they don’t see
them.

They are seen when they need something though.
Some of the employees are given looks of contempt and disdain when some of the
customers meet their eyes. How sad. Please. “Get me someone in the shoe
department.”

Ring
guard bit:

Then he
leaves. I said we did not have any, and he acts like we have a secret place
just for him. I even had to direct a customer to the sunglasses when it was
standing right in front of him! Really, does he now see it is standing in front
of him?

The
Necklace Dude:

I waited
for my shift to be over, but before it was an old guy with spiky greyish white
hair, blue eyes like a husky dog, with several necklaces around his neck
wearing a camouflage shirt and shorts with sunglasses worn like a headband was
looking at one of the cases. Let’s just call him Ted. He wanted to look at an
attract an angel ring, so I opened up the case, and handed him one then he
wanted to look at another. Then he went over to another case, and wanted to try
on a   weather controlling necklace and a
lightning conjuring bracelet.

When one
caught his eye I showed him it, and then he wanted to look at another one
especially the ones with red tags because he is a cheap guy that loves to save
money. After having me tell him about each one and naming the price sometimes
having me repeat the bloody price twice because I am a servant to him, and am
there for his personal service slave!! Then he was picky about the necklaces,
and not only that he was getting mad I was not picking out the right one when
he was just pointing and not being specific. I really hate impatient people.

After he
finally chose the right set I rang him up for the ring and bracelet. Then I
checked to make sure the necklace was 38 like I thought it said. It turned out
it was 58, and the guy freaked pointing to one of the SCSM's thinking he was a
manager like the dumbass he is. I had to get him, and tell him what was going
on with the douchebag and the necklace.

Finally
after the bastard paid for his stuff, and the whole time he kept insinuating I
hated my job when he was the jackass making me look like a screw up after
reading the price wrong. I give him the boxes for his stuff with the junk he
wants in it, and he is stupid enough to "show" me how to do it like
the pompous asshole he is.

He says
things like, "If you had more pride in your work then people will Respect
you more. You hate customers, and customer service is everything."  And you’re probably an asshole that has not
worked a day in retail in your life. I was pissed that I could not knock him on
his ass, and the way he treated me was horrible. I have pride in my job, but
not when it comes to dealing with assholes like him. I definitely will have to
open a case for a contract on his head since he seemed like a sexist asshole.

I hope you enjoyed the deleted scenes!

Until next time,

Exciting Changes are Happening:

I got back Sunday night from Georgia since I had to
go there since my cousin was getting married to his new wife. I enjoyed
spending time with my family, and I also got dresses to wear during the summer
which is awesome. The one thing that the vacation did over everything else
besides giving me a break from my job is renew my spirits with writing. I am
planning on releasing an ebook for free to get my work noticed. It will have
the original version of The Killer Contract Agency, and Boyfriend Missing Ex is
a Zombie. The Tale of the Mean Boss is in the ebook, and it is about a woman
named Sandy who is calling the assassin Ella Evans to terminate an evil
coworker and boss who is terrorizing the employees. There are also a few
stories starring Scarlet Summers, and the first chapter of the retail novella
too. Just something fun for readers, and a short story collection that
introduces the Luxor and Crystal Crest realm. It is now with an editor to check
the grammar, and make sure everything is polished and ready to go.

I am re-releasing the Killer Contract ebook too, and
all I have to do is write the final scene then turn it to the proofreader. The
Revenge Against the Ex is with the proofreader, and I am slowly working on the
retail novella too. I am going to release a paperback, and that will have all
four ebooks combined into one. I still hope to have everything out by the end
of August.

I have been reading more too, and I love the idea of
having a post once a week about the results of writing prompt books too. I am
just working and I am mainly excited about starting VCU in the fall!

Until next time,

Self-publishing and Revising:

Right now, there is a lot going on in my life mainly
revising and editing little by little. It is a long process, and one that can
be exciting like rearranging words, and how even simple ones can have more of a
meaning then a long drawn out sentence. I don’t mind it as much since revising
means adding details, and making a story better. It also means listening to
people critique my work, and not getting mad when they don’t praise my work
since first drafts always suck. There is no getting around it either, and a
rough draft is better than nothing at all. I have been reading more in between everything
and a there are a few good books out there on self-publishing like the review I
did, and the link is here: http://wolfdreamer25reviewsforwriters.blogspot.com/2013/06/review-of-lets-get-digital-by-david.html

There are two
ebooks I have read cover to cover one is called Smashwords Book Marketing Guide
by Mark Coker which explains how to market your books. It even has 30 tips on
getting your book out there, and it is really helpful with showing you
inexpensive marketing techniques.

The second book is called Smashwords Style Guide by
Mark Coker, and it is amazingly helpful in teaching you how to format your
ebook for Smashwords. It even has step by step instructions to formatting your
ebook as well as a list of resources to use. It shows you mistakes to avoid,
and it teaches you how to work with Meatgrinder the program used to format the
ebooks.

In the meantime in between editing and revising. I
know that when the time comes to put the Retail novella out I will definitely
be ready to implement the techniques I have been learning, and this time I will
be more prepared especially with my team in place like my graphic designer,
editor, and proofreaders I know I can become more successful especially with
their help.

Until next time,

VCU, working and Writing

I went to orientation last Tuesday to be
introduced to VCU, and I got my ID now. My schedule is 5 classes two are online,
and three are at VCU Tuesday and Thursdays. Not a bad schedule for the fall,
and it is going to be my first semester at a University. I will talk about the
differences between community college and university, and my experiences for
people who are going to Community college who want to transfer to a University.

I am excited, and in the meantime working on editing to get the ebooks out in
between working five days a week. I have been reading more ebooks like David
Gaughrans Let’s Get Digital, and the ebook Self-Printed by Catherine Ryan
Howard. I have been reading more self-publishing articles to get a picture of
what it will be like, so I am prepared. Right now I am just trying to work on
the feedback, and I plan on doing a review of an eBook I have from an author
that contacted me over Facebook too. I will find the time to get everything
done, and do the reviews. It is just a matter of finding the time in between
everything. Life is just one learning experience one after the other, and
really I love the way my stories are shaping in the rewrites. I forgot how fun
the editing process is, and how it all comes together in the end. I have also
learned more about life, and people along the way.

Until Next time,

So it begins…

I graduated school Monday, and I loved it! I had
fun that day, and I even got a shirt. Since school is over until the end of
August I will be working five days a week, and working on the ebooks too.

 I
also had an idea to have an awesome indie post featuring books by independent
authors. I love reading from them too, and since I am an indie author myself it
works out. I chose to become one for the higher royalties, control over
everything, and I really don’t want to change my story because of a publisher.
I love being able to do things my way, and reaching out to people to help along
the way. I have been meaning to read more, but I am enjoying the absence of
stress thanks to school. School was stressful for me, and now that I don’t have
it things are different. Now I can work on my writing career, and my blogs.

I
am going to get the feedback for the retail story today, and work on making
changes all day tomorrow. Then giving it to the editor, and working on the second
ebook changes. Then giving Revenge Against the Ex to the proofreader afterward,
and after I get back the changes from the editor making the changes, get the
cover and publish. Then do it all over again for the second. It is a long…long…process,
and when the second ebook is finally done I will  combine both ebooks into a paperback for
readers who prefer that format.

That is all I am going to say for now…

Until next time,

School is Over

I took my last exam Tuesday, and I passed all my classes which means my GPA is a 3.0. I am really happy to say I will be graduating with an Associates May 11th! I am finally happy community college is done! It really makes me happy to finally be done with school until August which means I have the whole summer off. I will be working full time, but it also means I have more time to write posts for my blogs! I plan on going ahead and releasing two ebooks this summer, and a paperback on top of that since I have all this free time in between school. As always I will be working on the second killer novel little by little too. I have the second ebook title nailed down which is called Revenge Against the Ex which is fitting since it deals with getting even against them. I really am looking forward to being done with math too since that is a subject I struggle with so no fun there. I will be getting a minor in writing too, and that will be pretty neat too.

I have new student orientation for VCU on the 21st, and then I will know my schedule too. I hope to have time to write in between the classes I am taking, so that is all I have for now.

Until Next Time,

Editing away......

Currently I am working more on my story, and I had to get rid of a chapter so here it is:

Chapter 1

People say that words
have no power, and they cannot hurt you. They lie. Words can cut you up, and
make you wish you were dead. They have the power to hurt you to the point where
it is like a kick to the gut, or a shot to the heart when they end
relationships with people that thought they cared about them. Words have the
power to embarrass you to the point where people call you names everywhere you
walk like they did me. Saying I had slept around when that is not the case.

It can make people talk
about you, so bad that you can feel so miserable you think about suicide. Or
you have to switch schools so the people don’t know you, and wont know the
nickname they call you. Like a nightmare the emotional scars can keep you up at
night. Words can be bad enough to turn people against you, and make you have no
friends. The people who do this have a name:Bullies!

It is not just words
they use to hurt people. Sometimes they use physical abuse. Boyfriends hurt
girlfriends and use physical violence to make their girlfriends obey them like
mine tried to. Pushing you, and even spreading rumors to trash your reputation.

I went through hell in
elementary, middle, and high school because of them. I have at least five of
them do the worst they could to me. It did not turn me suicidal though it
turned me homicidal. I want them dead with their heads on a platter.

All the things they put
me through are nothing compared to the hell I am going to cause them. Luckily
for me the bullies grew up, and did more horrible things then gossiping like
immature childish teenagers…

They grew up and landed
with criminal charges such as killing, raping, abusing animals, child
molesting, and torturing. And all these activities they did made them all targets
of The Killer Contract Agency.

The Killer Contract
agency is the agency i work for that allows me to get my revenge. The only way
to get in it or become an operative is to be bullied, and that is how I started
working for them. That is how I became the famous Scarlet Nightshade.

It would have been longer, but I thought of a better first chapter which will be in the story since it gives the novel more of a punch.

Until next time,

Improvisation can be used in retail:

I have been taking
theater courses like Introduction to Theater and Improvisation which is a theater technique that allows you to practice in the moment. . It has made me
realize how it can be applied to working retail. It can be useful for putting
everything your worried about on the back burner, and acting like problems don’t
bother you. While you ring people up you also interact with them, and if you
have a good attitude about you can also entertain them too. I have noticed
applying some techniques on the floor can actually help instead of hinder you
like you can act like a character from a foreign country. You can act over the
top, and since they don’t know you they can be used when you need practice
getting into a character if you need to learn how to integrate characters. It
also allows you to practice the role of a salesman which I know I will need to
learn in order to market my books. I love all the techniques too, and
improvising allows you to think on the spot, and go with the flow more when it
comes to a hectic work environment. It helps me get through the day to use my
training when my mind is wandering to other places that I would not want to
think about. Deep breathing before work helps too when I am getting my mindset
on retail mode which is smile, be bubbly, and ask if they need help. It even
helps me push everything aside and focus on my job instead of the million other
things distracting me.

Have you ever used
these techniques before?

As an update I on the
paperback I am waiting to hear back from an editor to okay her for me to send
her one group of stories, and then I have two other groups with critique
partners and editors. I have been doing nothing but school work lately since I
am graduating May 11th which means I have only 3 weeks of school
left. After that you will see more posts on this blog, and my other ones. I
plan on doing a post comparing theater to writing since the two are very
similar.

Until next Time,

Moving On….

One of the hardest lessons I have learned so far is
Letting go and moving on. It is hard because someone you knew, and are close to
is a stranger now instead of a friend. The guy or girl you used to date and
laugh with no longer sees you as a girlfriend or boyfriend just a stranger. It
hurts even more if they are married with kids, and seeing other people too. Especially
if you really loved them, and wanted to be with them for the rest of your life.
It hurts, and burns but you learn to let go and move on.

Talking to them makes the pain of moving on hurt
worse, and especially if you still want to work things out, but they have moved
on and want nothing to do with you. Then again there are more people to meet,
and more places out to explore to see more people and form better friendships
and relationships.

When one door closes another one opens , and for
your sake never open the closed door ever. I did enough times to the point
where it ended badly. It is meant to be closed for a reason. I did try to open
the door, and the guy pretty much told me he does not care what he did and to
stay out of his life like a jerk. If people want you in their life they will
make time for you, and if not its their loss not yours because you really don’t
need them in your life if they treated you like that. Moving on is not a bad
thing for me at first it did hurt, but I wound up finding someone better to
fill the void he left. I found someone better someone who treats me right and
tells me the truth. He is himself around me, and he does not pretend to be
someone else.

The reason why I am talking about this is because
this is the theme of the second killer novel.
Letting go and moving on , and to not let the bad past get in the way of
the future. Love is stronger than revenge. I also use this story as a way of
moving on which is why I need to write this story. I move on more if I write it
out. It will be worth it to go through this emotional story, and I want people
to learn from it too. People who find it hard to move on. That is why moving on
as a theme and forgive and forget are important life lessons to learn. Moving
on making room for the good things to come is important especially when it
comes to relationships and friendships which is what you will see in the story.

Until next time,

Wolfdreamer25
