Cook With Amy: Vegetarian Nachos
If I have to hear one more celebrity chef tell me that this meal “only takes 15 minutes” while standing in front of a bench covered with bowls of perfectly pre-diced and -sliced ingredients, I’m going to scream.
We all know it: those recipes DO NOT take 15 minutes to create.
That’s why I’ve created Cook With Amy, a monthly podcast where you can cook along with me in REAL time and see what’s it like to make a recipe when you DON’T have a bevy of assistants to do the prep work, when getting ...

So I Guess I Have A Book To Write Now? O:)
Don’t tell Kickstarter, but the book that was just launched there? Yeah. I still need to finish it >.
Thank goodness my non-writing deadlines are finally wrapping up long enough for me to pause and draw breath and consider maybe thinking about writing eventually at some point
But seriously, I have six weeks to finish the book, have it edited for errors, and get the Advanced Reader Copies out to my lovely, lovely backers at the end of April.
Honestly? I think it will be fine. In a sta...

Made-It Monday: A Practice Cake
Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
This week, a practice cake. I needed to test out the recipe befo...

Tea: What I’m Drinking
So, my mum is running a high tea soon and needed suggestions for pass-the-parcel gifts (because OBVIOUSLY this is a thing you do at high tea!), and being the practical sort of person that I am (!) I suggested…. tea? There’s a local place that sells individual sachets for $1.50, which is a great way to sample a range of flavours and I love it (and sometimes these lil individual sachets make their way into things like Fan Kits, just saying…).
But THEN Mum said that she also needed a gift for ...

Only ONE More Person Needed To Fund The Kickstarter!
The Kickstarter campaign for Bones Of The Sea has been swimming along (ha) and is nearly funded: if just ONE more person signs up for a Fan Kit Mini, then the campaign will be funded and everyone will get their goodies! (If the campaign doesn’t fund, no one is charged, but no one gets their goodies.)
If you’re interested, please check out the campaign, which has 6 days left to run. And if they’re not your kind of books (YA outdoorsy fantasy), please consider sharing the campaign with someone ...

Wow, I’m Only 10 Days Behind Now Instead of 14!!
>.
Look, it’s not been a great previous 10 days, m’kay? Like, I’m fine, I’m just two weeks behind schedule on EVERYTHING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD and this week is also going to be a trashfire of ALL THE DEADLINES EVER.
But on the other hand, I handed in my next Aurealis article this morning (this one on fairies, I think it’ll be out in the April issue), I’ve hit a milestone on another project that I should be able to cross off shortly, and all the Fan Kit Minis from the December campaign hit t...
