Bloodsucker Bay, Vol. 1 in The Deamon Isle Witches ...

Melinda Howard poured a potion into a small glass vial. She used a funnel, as she didn't trust her clumsy, thin fingers to be steady enough. Never mind that she was already nervous about making this particular potion. If she didn't get it just right, the consequences would be fatal to the vampire standing in her kitchen.

Get to Know Rachel D'aigle, Vol 3: Plant Killer, Ghosts and Don't Ask Me to Dance!

- I have had gray hair since I was 25 years old! It is now starting to turn white. I am 38.

- I do not own one single living plant ... this is because somehow, after I turned 20, I just could not keep a plant alive, and therefore, gave up rather than just buy and kill yet another plant. And yes, I did grow up on a farm :)

- I have had real ghost encounters, starting at a very young age... its hard to remember but I think I was 6 the first time I had a ghostly encounter.

- The house I live in currently is haunted by a ghost I have nicknamed Murray. He likes to turn my tv on in the middle of the night. Bounce up and down in my office chair, stand by the side of the bed at night, and on occasion, break things like mirrors that are quite securely fastened to walls, or sit on the edge of the bed.

- I have been attacked by dogs 3 times! Once when I was about 7, by 2 dogs, again when I was 11, and again in my 20's. All three attacks were by dobermans or rottweilers. Amazingly, I am unscathed, physically! And now own my own dogs! But they are completely loveable!

- I grew up in Maine and have lived in Utah for 20 years. Two places famous for their snow / skiing. I have never once been on a pair of ski's and have no intention on doing so. Really not a fan of snow!

- I am a day dreamer! gets me into trouble all the time :)

- I am a terrible dancer! I have a bit of rhythm, but a complete lack of graceful movement! Although once, two elderly gentleman somehow mistook me for a ballerina.... still don't quite understand that to this day.
