missing in action!!

Sorry for the lack of posts! I have been missing in action these last few weeks, at first, for a must needed break! I got to take a few days off from the day job and catch my breath, always a good thing! But that was only a few days and since I've been back the day job has been most demanding of my time and energy... enter my sad / exhausted face!

Anyway, when I can, I am getting a few pages down here and there on the next book in both of my series, the Fated Saga and the Demon Isle Witches!

Hope to have more updates maybe by the end of August on how things are coming along. Until then, thanks for all your support as always! And I hope you're all enjoying book 5 in the Fated Saga!

Explanations and Such!

Hello everyone! It has been quite a crazy couple of weeks here in living in fantasy land!

First, I hope you're all enjoying book 5 in the Fated Saga!

Second, the previous post regarding my stolen books is currently being resolved! Hopefully in another 24 hours or so that nightmare will be over!

Third, I need to take a minute to explain some changes going on. I have done my best to let people know, but inevitably some will miss the facebook/twitter etc posts....

The exciting news is that I have taken on a few sponsors, which is a blessing! But it changes the dynamic of my job a little, as I now have financial backers to report to.

I am basically still a one woman operation when it comes to the day to day stuff, but having these sponsors will help me reach my goal of proper mainstream publication and everything that comes with that... basically a whole lot more work!

This means a few things will change however:

I will no longer be offering the eBooks for free, except for the 1st book in each series.

SORRY!!!!!!  Especially as I realize this will take away some people's ability to read my books. This is a very hard choice, but it is time to do so.  I have had meetings with my new sponsors and we toyed with various ideas, but when all is said and done, mainstream publishing is where I need to be.

Taking down the free versions is in part due to new agreements with my sponsors as well as in part due to the recent copyright/stolen works issue. I just have to be more careful with my work, it is my life-blood! Publishing on free sites just makes them a lot more vulnerable to being stolen and reproduced.

My wattpad fans, you know the wattpad deal, so I won't go into that here. 

Free-ebookers, I have enjoyed sharing my books with you, but it is just simply time to go mainstream! The books will disappear at some point very soon! I realize the timing is terrible with book 5 just being released.

I hope none of you hate me too badly, I realize some of you will be very angry and I truly apologize. There is no good timing for something like this, but seeing as my career goals are to be a full time writer, I have to sell books to make this happen!

I hope this clarifies all the various shifts and changes going on, if not, please write me a note or leave a comment. I will do my best to get back in a timely manner.... THANKS!!!!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING!!!!!!

If you see a cover that looks small and 3D-like, please do not buy this version! Please buy directly from the links I have provided on my sites to make sure you're getting the real thing!

It has been a long time coming but FINALLY, the links for book Five are started to go live: So far I have Nook and Kindle.... All other links will take a little longer, hopefully no more than another 24 hours! Paperbacks will be a couple more weeks as those take a lot more formatting and proofing!

Book Five, now has a title and a cover!

Book 5 in the Fated Saga will be in various stages of publication over the next few days! I think I am about as excited as all of you! Thanks for hanging in there, we are soooo close now...

hey all just a quick update:

Book five is in the can sort to speak ... final edits, book cover, formatting .... the works!

I am estimating it to be ready in approximately a week-ish!

I will of course share the links once it is available :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, just no extra minutes to spare! But the wait is getting shorter and shorter :)

Book 5 updates, June 10th!

Just another quick note to update the progress of Book Five! Name still to be determined.

No release date yet, sorry!

First round of editing in almost finished though, and if all goes well, it should be in the hands of my editor sometime around the end of this week...

I should be able to share the new book cover and title soon as well.

Be sure to share the Fated Saga with all your friends for summer reading :)

Featured on CNN! Tribute to Ray Bradbury! Honored!

I just had to share this: CNN did a blog tribute for Ray Bradbury.

After they asked me to write an iReport earlier today, they then decided to feature part of that report on their tribute blog! I could not be more honored!

Rachel Humphrey-D'aigle says she grew up in Maine with a very strict religious upbringing and could only get some books at school, including Bradbury's. These books inspired her to think differently about the world. She later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and is now a writer, too.

"Many books and other media were banned for me at that time. If it hadn't been for my school library, I would never have had the opportunity to read books such as Bradbury's. I went on to enjoy many of his works and absolutely fell head over heels in love with sci-fi and fantasy. He had a style completely his own, something I think many of us aspiring authors struggle to find."
