There is Always Relief from Pain…
I used to have a very high pain tolerance. That was in the days that I was suffering from 24/7 migraines and severe depression. These days I am a wimp. Now, I get a migraine and I can barely function. Back in those days of headaches and illness, I was a highly functioning business woman, wife and mom – up until the end that is. If I had been willing to listen, perhaps my pain could have been eradicated much sooner. As I look back on those days, I realize that I didn’t want to listen to what God was trying to tell me. I didn’t want to believe that the world wouldn’t come to a screeching halt if I wasn’t “taking care of every little detail”. When God used his megaphone to rouse me – it got my undivided attention. I was so guilty of believing that it all depended on me. In truth, it all depended all on God and I was (am) just a small bit player in the great scheme of His ginormous perfect plan. If you see a little bit of yourself in me – take some time to listen and to take care of your relationship with God. I promise that you will be glad you did.

Looking for Peace and Happiness…
I love C.S. Lewis! Sometimes I wonder if he had a near death experience. It seems as though once he turned from his atheistic beliefs to Christianity that his ability to understand and comprehend Life’s true meaning and God’s true character was exceptionally profound. I doubt I will ever know the answer to that question but it doesn’t really matter in the big scheme of things. It’s clear to me that C.S. Lewis “got it”. He understood that this life has deep, eternal significance and he understood that, unless God was a part of our path, true happiness, contentment and peace would evade us.

True Change Comes from the Inside Out
Ezra Taft Benson hit the bulls eye. The world could be changed and improved so much easier and so much faster if we all took this truism to heart.

We are Never Too Old to Learn!!!
No one is too old to learn or to change or to improve! I love watching infants and young children – can you imagine them adopting the attitude that they are too old to learn? Of course not! Children are a wonderful example for the rest of us! It is my goal to “become as a child” in regards to my daily attitude towards learning and believing in myself!

Good Friday…
The magnitude of what the Savior of this world did for me and for you cannot be comprehended. Good Friday epitomizes blessings brought forth from even the most dire and derelict of acts. Never has one sacrificed so much and never have so many gained so much from the sacrifice of one. I wish to give gratitude and thanks to my beloved Savior for what he has given to us all. His is a gift that possibly is best comprehended in that sphere beyond mortality. It is because of His gift that eternity matters. It is because of His gift that each of us can rise to the very utmost heights of our potential. Through His gift of selfless love, we can make the bonds of our love and families eternal. The sacrifice of our Savior gives to us now and will continue to provide us with countless blessings for all of eternity.

Where Are You Willing to Go?
Perhaps the hardest thing that a truly meaningful life requires of us is turning our hearts and our lives over to the One who knows and loves us best. What a blessing it is to know that wherever we are and wherever we have been – we can always change our path and make improvements. No one changes in one giant leap. Successful change starts in the heart and then continues step by step. Often a leap of faith is required but where a leap of faith is required the Lord’s arms are everlastingly extended to us to catch us. He never fails us as we place our trust in Him.

You (We) Can Change the World for the better!
Let’s all try an experiment! For just 24 hours, let’s smile at everyone we meet, express only compliments and gratitude (no negative words), and remember that our influence (positive or negative) in the world is felt by all those who are a part of our world! Meet me back here in 24 hours and let me know how you did! Then, let’s do it again tomorrow!!!
