I Love C.S. Lewis!

I love C.S. Lewis. Knowing his story makes the understanding he eventually came to even more profound to me. This is a guy who didn’t “get it” and before his life was over, not only did he “get it” but he was able to share his profound wisdom in truly meaningful ways.

You are Free to Dream!

We are never too old to dream. We are never too old to change. Most of all, we are never too old to overcome the skeletons of our past and be the truly amazing individuals we were created to be! Change may not be easy – but since when was life meant to be easy?!! We being schooled in mortality and we are meant to live and learn and to present this world with our amazing selves! I promise you that you have God’s permission and his support in becoming the amazing self you have always dreamed of being!

Humility

I believe that humility is a much misunderstood concept. Those I saw in heaven were all humble. However, each and every one of us knew and acknowledged our worth. We honored and revered each other and our individuality. Other than the love that is a part of heaven in a way that can’t be described, I think the thing I miss most is that humble reverence and confidence we had in each other and in ourselves. Our true selves are truly amazing. Yet, our amazingness (I think I invented a word there) came not from being an isolated “standout”.  It came as a result of honoring our gifts and abilities provided to us by our Creator and in our desire to lift and build each other.

Truth…

I have found that nothing is more important than listening to the voice within. The truth that voice reveals is not only inspirational but amazing! That voice is never loud or pounding – it is soft and clear. It requires listening and usually some quiet time. A price to hear that voice must be paid – the price of making time to find solitude. Some tell me that that price is too great and that they are too busy – I tell them that voice should be a priority. In my experience, nothing gives life greater satisfaction and joy than being in tune with that voice within. I truly believe listening to that voice is the difference between a life of abundance and a life of confusion.

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

If I could have the wish of my heart – I would wish that everyone, everyone, everyone would feel loved. The kind of love that wraps around you like a soft, warm fleece blanket and makes you feel so contented and secure that you nod off to sleep peacefully. It is that kind of love that I felt in heaven. It is that kind of love that I want for all of earth to feel. I know that God feels that way about each of us but all of the bumps and lumps that life hands out can make it hard, at times, to feel loved by anyone – let alone God. May each of you feel like a special Valentine today! May love be a constant blessing in your life! Happy Valentine’s Day!

You’ve got to “Love” February!

I don’t know why but February is one of my favorite months and Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays! Interestingly enough, the chocolates and the valentines are not the real reason why I love both (although I do love both)! I think it’s because everyone makes a little more effort to express their love and appreciation for each other. For me, it’s kind of an extension of the Christmas spirit. Living in a colder, northern climate, February also signals it’s time for the signs of Spring to start making their appearance! I will save my wishes for Sunday but I hope that everyone is having fun sharing expressions of love this weekend!

Understanding Our True Divinity

We are beings of light placed in a world of mortality for just a short time. Most of us think that we are familiar with being mortal and having bodies. I am a witness to our eternal existence. Trust me, we know much more about being beings of light than we know about being mortal! Don’t let the chants of the world and your temporary amnesia convince you that you are less – that you don’t measure up – that being amazing is for someone (everyone) else. You are amazing! You can do wonderful things! You are meant to create a wonderful life for yourself! If you will take the time to listen to the message God has placed in your heart – you can know how precious and full of potential you are! (It’s totally worth the time and effort!)
