A Gentleman Strangely

I failed the gentleman, he must be dead.

I’m in the snow now by the twisted metal wreck of my captors truck. Gasoline fumes and the taste of blood are all I know as I die. A figure hovers over me. A furry claw lowers a bowler hat to cover my face… such… a… gentleman….

Ever After

She pulled against the restraints. Rope cut into her ankles and crinoline scratched her thighs. Someone coughed behind her. An infant whimpered.

Her veiled eyes looked down at the tight silk ribbon slithering around her wrists and the flowers in her hands.

Tape across her mouth muffled her gasp.

The minister began, “Love is patient…”

Collision

“Take off,” he said.

“You take off,” she replied.

“I was here first,” he protested.

“But I’m his dream!” she cried.

“And I’m his fate.”

Since they couldn’t settle their differences, a bullet killed both. ♣

Enchantment

The clouds parted and a ray of sunlight enchanted the glade.

Cassandra’s long red tresses imparted warmth directly into my heart.

The wolves turned pettable, the lions cuddly.

Cassandra fondled a lion’s mane and threw her nakedness over his furred back.

They loped off into the forest in search of the key to our kingdom.

The Trouble With Imps

The old Gypsy awoke to find a dozen chittering imps ransacking her parlor. She jumped out of her chair, flour sack in hand, grabbed the tiny pests and stuffed them inside. Tossing the squirming sack onto a roaring fire, she returned to her chair as yowling imps shot up the chimney.

“I hate uninvited guests.”

New Dawn

The boy felt lush grass dripping dew between his toes; heard the melody of jays; smelt the fresh tang of forest pine; tasted the crisp dawn mist, and gazed upon the iridescent beauty of the unicorn.

In sensual symmetry he wept, raised his bow, took aim through moistened veils and prepared to become a man.

Changing Magic

Topaz pounced on the Spells Book. Intrigued by the resulting light, she twirled in its midst, luxuriating in its warm glow. Dizzy, she collapsed into a deep sleep.

When she awoke, all that remained of her previous self were her unusual eyes. Though she was now a woman, she licked her hands and groomed herself.

Desideratum

The teacher unfolded a chart of sexual positions.

“Which one you consider more pleasant?”

“That depends on the couple and, in many cases, on their physical and/or health conditions…”

“Which one do you prefer?”

She gave him a voracious look.

“Let’s talk about this after class.”

When the bell rang, he woke up. ♣

Better Times

The door locked with a clunk. The rush of air sharpened the pain in the ribbons and welts across my bare back. I closed my eyes against the tears and hummed a tune.

The exhilarating hang-time of the swing, the wonderful dizziness of the roundabout… and my childhood memories soothed my aches once more.
