April 24th, Day 24 of the #AtoZChallenge- U is for Uvula Piercing…yes I went there
Yes this is my U topic today. “Now why did you come up with that one, A.D.? you ask and then, “Do you have one?” would follow. No, I do not. Would not get one either and my uvula thanks me. Now what is a Uvula you say…many do not know,so do not feel bad and no it’s not a girly part either!
Uvula [yoo-vyuh-luh]- the small, fleshy, conical body projecting downward from the middle of the soft palate. Basically the little hanging thingie in your throat that wiggles when you say Ahhh! —-www.dictionary.com - love it!
If your mouth dropped upon hearing the definition and then putting together Uvula and then Piercing, you have joined my mouth. I understand people want to pierce things. They do, why…sometimes I do not know. Where…yeah sometimes that scares me too. I thought I had heard it all until now and now I’m afraid to ask “what next?!”
Now don’t get my wrong, I’m not judging or frowning at anyone who happens to have such a piercing. Actually I am clapping my hands and saying “Wow! You are so brave.” I would think! I thought getting my ears pierced was bad!
“So why are you sharing this A.D.?” you ask. I have not a clue. Really, I don’t. I just did because well it WOW’d me and I had too! Very interesting, very….ouch! So let me add a link, not that I am encouraging this, so all fellow mommies that’s a nope vote on my end. No uvula piercings! I’m an old-fashioned gal (A.D. you only 34, what do you know about old-fashioned!) ok, so not so much. Let me reword that, I act like an old-fashioned gal. I have my reasons and so do those who do get this piercing. We do not agree, so there. Enough. This is only a fact share.:0)
Uvula piercing- An uvula piercing is a body piercing through the uvula, the projection of the soft palate between the tonsils. This is a rare piercing. Captive bead rings or other small rings are the most commonly seen jewellery in uvula piercings.[1]
Now as a responsible mommy- health warning -
The piercing is rare due to the gag reflex, which makes it difficult to administer or receive it. Should jewellery pierced through the uvula come loose it may be swallowed or even inhaled, which would require surgery to remove.[2] [3]
As with tongue piercings, there is a risk of crush injury during the piercing, swelling, and infection. The jewelry will also pull the uvula down during sleep, reducing the diameter of the nasal airway and increasing the chance of sleep-related breathing disorders such as snoring.[4] Uvula piercings may migrate leading to bisection of the uvula, which is harmless.
Info courtesy of: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uvula_piercing
So for those of you who may be considering such a piercing…here you go. I think earings are pretty, don’t you? :0) Thanks for allowing a silly gal to ramble …
Have a wonderful time hoping on the AtoZchallenge roll and happy changing your mind about Uvula Piercing!OUCH!

April 23rd, Day 23 of the #AtoZChallenge- T is for Totally Love my Kids!
Ok, I was going to do my T topic on Triberr, but I just didn’t want to go there. I have not a clue yet about this site and there would be nothing much I could type about. Really you would be strongly recommended not to come to me to learn about anything about Triberr because I have not a clue. Nope! Nothing! Nada… So why torture you or myself on that matter. I shall be researching and educating myself on this site though. People are giving Triberr two thumbs up ,so there is something wonderful about this site, I just need to learn how to use if first! If you know anything, any links, oh please do share with me!
So what did I choose for my T topic today, well like stated above, T is for totally love my kids! I love them so much and what mother would not want to share some adorable pics of her kiddos with others? I have not done so yet and because I chose to not do my topic on Triberr, I had to come up with something quick. Pics of my kids, yep I was scrapping the bottom of the barrel, but what a nice scrape! So… some of you may already know tiny bits about me, such as I have 6 kids. Yep, I do. You ask now : “A.D. did you plan on that many?!”
Actually no. I planned on two. A boy and a girl, in that exact order and then that was it! Or so I thought. I came to #2 my little Izzybee (not so little anymore, just turned 12) and felt like there was another. So then I had my Trey (treyboy, yes its almost like the Waltons right:0). Knew then threre would be a number four, felt like there was still more and wanted another girl. You know to balance it out. So I had my Arwen (can you guess where I got her name from:0) But wait! There were more! After Arwen, I just felt there would be six, don’t know why and was I crazy. Yes and No. I felt it and wanted it. So then came Evangeline (Evie). Had some complications again (its a long story on my pregnancies, get me later on that:0) Decided it would be the wise thing to have her be the last. I prayed, thought, prayed and thought about a permanant fix (poor hubby) and had stayed paranoid and wrapped in latex during that while. Just when I said, “Ok hon, lets go get her done!” I found out little Sawyer was a cookin. HE was a big risk, a BIG suprise (and yes I know all about that and prevention :0) He was just meant to be. I stuck it out and he came 16 weeks early. Worth it, every single one was. Trey was a life changing experince and Sawyer a life appreciation experience. All of my kiddos were worth it, risk and all. My factory is now closed and I am enjoying life with my kiddos. Their ages today(oldest to youngest)- 13,12,almost 10, almost 8, almost 5, almost 4 (birthdays coming up in next two months:0) Busy much A.D.? YEs, but a wonderful busy. I have had to learn prioritize and multitasking to a T. There are side effects, I have horrible memory.
Sticky notes and jot downs keep me on track in writing :0) So enough with the bla ,bla ,bla! Onto those cute pics of your kids A.D.! Ok, in no particular order and so random….here they are!
Ok, stopping now! I would add more, really I would :0) Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful Monday! BOO! A.D. :0)
Happy blogging and happy memories down memory lane,
A.D.

April 21st, Day 21 of the #AtoZChallege – S is for Spagetti Tacos from I Carly!
I-Carly photo courtesy of Wikipedia.com
Spagetti tacos. Yep, you heard that right. I gave my son a funny look the day he suggested to me to make Spagetti Tacos for dinner. This is my oldest, Christian, he is thirteen. Now how did this brilliant, handsome young man (he has freckles!) come up with such meal? I Carly, He told me that on one episode of the show Carly’s older brother Spencer makes spagetti tacos for his little sister and friends. Well, ok…it didn’t sound so bizzarre, but would it taste good? I wondered and then found myself telling my son, yeah, ok, let’s make it!
I made my wonderful spagetti dinner and fried up some taco shells (we like it thata way) and soop, stuff and served! Sprinkle of cheese on top, of course! Was it good? you ask me. HEck yes it was! It was really good! We have tried it with the regular, buy it from the store shells as well, but we like the homemade shell version better. I don’t know maybe its the oil and the idea that we have just added some extra heart killing cholesterol additives in there :0)
So! Give it a try, tell your family “Hey, we’re having Spagetti tacos tonight!” and make them! Enjoy the funny looks and watch as they discover, try and absolutely love Spagetti Tacos! I am sure Spencer Shay is grinning right now. Oh…have you not heard of I Carly? Oh well then! You are gonna just have to hop yourself right down on that comfy sofa of yours and do an I carly marathon is whatcha gonna have to do! Grab your remote and turn to channel 42 (nickelodeon) and watch away. It’s pretty funny, I have found myself to sit and watch a few with my kiddos from time to time.
Want the Spagetti Taco recipe? Here it is! -http://www.icarly.com/iBlogs/entry34.html
Wanna learn more about this awesome show?!- http://www.icarly.com/
Thanks for dropping in and learning about spagetti tacos with me! Make sure you fit at least one episode of I carly in your TV time this weekend, your gonna thank me! Have a wonderufl weekend!

April 12th, Day 12 of the #AtoZChallenge – K is for Ka Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas!
Many years ago when I had visited Las Vegas with family, I was able to catch the show Mystere by Cirque du Soleil and loved it! An amazing show that is more than just circus acts, there is a theatrical spirit within it. Innovative costumes and performances that drop the jaw are the key elements that make Cirque the loved production that it is. There are flying acrobats ,twirling ariealists, clowns and invinsible men within this show. Each act performed leaves the audience amazed and baffled. I loved it! More information about this wonderful show can be found here: http://bit.ly/I4YtyY
Now there is Ka' and even though I have not seen this show (yet) I am pretty confident it is just as amazing! This show is at MGM Grand and is" an action-packed adventure story about Imperial Twins who are separated by an attack on their Far Eastern palace. Unlike other Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas, this one has a distinguishable plot. The story is exciting, but what really captivates audiences is how it's told." -How it is told…if you've caught one of their acts, I am sure you know how amazing they are in telling their story. With a stage that took $200 million and 2 years to build, that alone says enough. But it gets even better! "Just walking into the theater is an experience." Beam structures line the theater with warrior men perched about on the structure. Will they jump down at you? I don't know, but be prepared! With surrounding stage elements, it is impossible not to feel part of the action and even better the actors enter from the audience. And what happens in the end? " For the final confrontation between good and evil, the stage transforms into a vertical battleground where the twins must confront the heinous warriors to reclaim their home, but the twins don't go into combat alone." Their allies come along and in the end those determined twins prevail and by the pics (I Cheated) what a production! "At times the performers change pace, making their actions look like a slow-motion fighting scene from "The Matrix." Wow! Are you convinced now, because I am!
Tickets for this amazing show start at $117.85 and I can assure you it would be worth the cost. Click the link http://bit.ly/HMb8rw to read more details about this show and heck, if you're already heading there (come pick me up, PLEASE!) buy you a ticket and plan that baby in! (I promise I eat very little and will pay for my own ticket….)
Happy Thursday, Happy 12th day of the #AtoZChallenge and Happy Cirque du Soleil!
