Please Welcome Erin O'Riordan

Cover Art for The Spell You Cast by Erin O'RiordanThank you, Rue , for having me as a guest on your blog today. Today is April 4th, and Sunday the 8th will be Easter Sunday. Yet my latest e-book project, "The Spell You Cast," may seem more appropriate for Halloween than for Easter-time. Its female lead, Madeline, is a witch. She belongs to a small coven with three other women…women with a special interest in making love potions. Madeline and her sisters all have their eyes set on Troy, the man Madeline has bewitched.

Actually, the month of...

Unforgettable?

5 Questions Marks

I know I forgot something, but what?

Every time I forget an appointment, birthday, or event I envy the main character on the TV show Unforgettable.  I do wonder how she manages to remember all that stuff and not go crazy.  I certainly would if I saw videos of myself doing things I'd already done.  Of course perhaps that's part of my increasing lack of memory; I'm not a visual thinker and never have been.  Pictures don't help me much either.  [Nope I haven't been diagnose with Alzheimer's or...

In Memoriam

Morton Mosely 'Pete' Charnley

A member of the 'greatest generation' has left us. On Tuesday evening, March 6, 2012, my father-in-law  passed away. He served as a signalman with the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during WWII. He returned home, pursued his degree in Mechanical Engineering, married the love of his life, worked 20+ years for SteelCase Corp. and built a wonderful family. I have so much to thank him for, not the least of which is my husband and sweetheart of 36 years. Dad was...

What Inspired My Sexy Sailor Series?

It isn't just Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, Tom Cruise as Maverick or Richard Gere as Zach Mayo.  Intriguing as those characters and portrayals are, inspiration for my Sexy Sailors comes more from personal experience (10 years in the USN) than from any movie, play, TV series or book.   I lived and worked with some of the sexiest men on earth–heck I married one.  (Yes, I'm biased, but if you don't think your lover is the sexiest man alive then you'd better find another lover.)  What I learned a...

Five senses are simply not enough!

Hidden Falls at Yellowstone National Park

Hidden Falls at Yellowstone National Park

What a terrific world we live in, with so much to experience. We get to sample balmy, chilling, sweet, sour, fragrant, pungent, silent, screaming, brilliant, dark, and everything in between. But those samples are only physical. This world includes so much more, the mental, the spiritual, the paranormal, the ordinary, extraordinary, in fact as many aspects as there are people, cultures and dimensions limited only by our ability and willingness to...
