My review of One Tiny Secret by Adam Kunz

Holden Ridge begins to lose its sense of quaint town security, and Dani is caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse.
Who can she trust when anyone around her could be a suspect?
One thing’s for certain though: Never underestimate the power of one tiny secret.
My Review While I've never been big on reading mystery/thrillers in the past... I'm a fan now! One Tiny Secret is a fast paced read that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Just when your mind processes one twist in the story, author Adam Kunz throws another in your path.
I've read a few reviews where the reader figured it out within the first few chapters, but for me... that wasn't the case at all! The person I thought was behind the crazytrain our main character, Dani finds herself on wasn't the person! Holy awesome-balls! I loved this storyline, and the characters! While there is a romance in this story, it's not the main storyline and for a story like this I enjoyed that!Great job, Adam!

My review of Taking Talon by Jennifer Malone Wright

My Review 5 OwlsI feel the need to quote a Brittney Spears' song right now, "Oops, she did it again!" I was one of the lucky few asked to beta read Taking Talon. I became a fan of Chloe from The Vampire Hunter's Daughter before I became best friends with her creator, Jennifer Malone Wright. In this installment, as a reader we get to see Chloe grow and evolve into a fierce, protective and smart vampire hunter. At the same time, we are pulled into her budding relationship with her half brother, Zander. The melee between Team Drew and Team Gavin takes an awesome twist during a pivotal moment.
I have to say that Alice is quickly becoming a character I crave to read more about with each installment:) I cannot recommend this book, or this series for that matter highly enough! If you haven't met Chloe, get started with The Vampire Hunter's Daughter Part 1. It's always FREE and trust me... you'll get sucked in. Don't be surprised if you find yourself telling your friends... It's always Vampire Hunting Season!

Mels' Review 5 PenguinsCameo Renae has once again left me completely blown away! She has a magic when telling a story so that by the time you are done reading it the story and more importantly her characters are completely wrapped around your heart. From the very first page Emma's life is thrown into complete chaos and the entrance of swoon worthy Kade does not make things any easier. The rest of the boys are just as yummy and just as much trouble and I found myself laughing out loud at their antics more than once. But don't get too comfortable because just when everything looks good BAM all hell breaks lose! We will have to wait for the next book to see if love really does overcome all obstacles, and I for one can not wait to read it! In my opinion HIGHLY recommended.

Mel's Review of Dark Liaison by J.D. Brown

One thing is for certain, being under house arrest in the German vampyre king’s castle was not part of her plan to save the day.

Mel's Review 5 PenguinsDark Liaison is a excellent edition to the Ema Marx series! J.D. Brown paints such an amazingly detailed picture of the characters and their surroundings it's like you are standing right beside them in the story. I am a huge fan of the characters in this series and was thrilled to meet some very interesting new ones this time around. Now even though the first half of the book was more a look into how Ema was handling everything that has been happening to her and also her confusing feeling for Jesu the second half was an amazing whirlwind of chaos and action both good and bad. And I have to say J.D.'s bad guys and creatures take your imagination to a whole new level! At the end Dark Liaison quickly wraps up to a shocking surprise and it's clear Ema still has a whole lot of growing up to do and some very difficult decisions to make. I really can't wait to find out what happens next and in my opinion Dark Liaison is definitely recommended!

My review of Addicted by Jenna Pizzi

My Review 4 OwlsThe concept of this short story is completely fresh. When you're addicted to drugs the professionals encourage you to break ties with the ones that helped you become addicted. In this story, Riley moves from the small town to a big city. But, things are not always as they seem. I loved the storyline, characters and plot and I would have given this shorty 5 stars, but I think the author could make this into a full length suspense/thriller and have a National Bestseller on her hands.

Mel's Review 5 PenguinsAnother excellent installment in the Harbour Falls Trilogy! Willow Point pulls us right back into the mystery revolving around the enigmatic Adam Ward and his friends from Fade Island. Once again it's up to Maddy to unravel the mystery and save not only the day but the people she loves as well. I absolutely love the characters in this series and they are as interesting and exasperating as ever in Willow Point. I found myself wanting to shake some sense into a few of them more than once. Now add to that mix the new to town mysterious and sexy Stowe stirring up more questions than he answers. I admit I am hooked! If I had any complaint it would be that after that nail biting cliffhanger of an ending  I have to wait a whole year to find out what happens next. Who is Stowe? Will Maddy be able to save the day again and finally get her happily ever after? I don't know but I certainly can't wait to find out! In my opinion Willow Point and the entire Harbour Falls series is Highly recommended.
