Birthright by Willow Cross gets a make-over!!

The Dark Gifts Series by Willow Cross is receiving a makeover, one book at a time! I have loved this series since first stumbling upon it almost two years ago. If you're looking for a dark paranormal read with just a hint of romance... this is the series for you!
Blurb:Birthright (Book I in The Dark Gifts series)For one-thousand years, Druid prophecies foretold of a young witch destined to alter the fate of both human and immortal alike. This witch-turned-vampire would be capable of harnessing the supernatural abilities of both and, in a bloody rise to power, would rule with unwavering control.Unwillingly thrust into a world she never dreamed existed, Liz Markum is catapulted into an ancient war between rival vampire factions. She must choose between those she loves and the ever-present darkness attempting to devour her very soul.Only one question remains: Will Liz claim her birthright or surrender to the dark gift? One choice. One chance. Two destinies.

Just an FYI post

Happy January 2nd! I just wanted to remind everyone that I only review books that I purchase. Unsolicited books sent to my email will not be downloaded and read. My personal assistant deletes those emails immediately.

I wish that I could read every book out there, but sadly that simply isn't the case. Being a writer, wife, and mother puts major time constraints on the amount of time allotted for reading. So, I choose what I'm in the mood for and purchase it.

Starting next week, I will be adding a reviewer to this blog who will accept those requests. Stay tuned! Thank you so much for all of your support!

BTW... have you guys checked out my website? Have you tweeted the #TwitchyWitch? Click on the highlighted words and come, say Hi! <3 Love you guys!

As always, until next time...

Here's to 2014!!

As I sit at my desk composing my thoughts, I'm thoroughly reflecting on the last twelve months. It has been an incredible journey of self-discovery and growth! I've learned so much about my strengths and weaknesses both as a person and an author. I had (notice this is past tense) a horrible habit of procrastinating. (I was terrified of success) I'm actually a really funny person, when I allow myself to be, and I really suck at writing erotica! <-- No joke!
I'm so glad that all of you have joined me on the ride this far. I hope that you'll continue, because 2014 is going to be even better!
Between new book projects, conventions and a few personal endeavors I'm honestly bouncing up and down with anticipation for this new chapter in my life to begin.
To each and everyone of you, I hope that the New Year brings you happiness, success and love.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

As always, until next time...

Old Man Winter...

Needs to go back to sleep! I'm normally the one my family calls, Kiki- the Ice Princess. I loved the cold weather and watching the snow fall, but this year, Winter has just begun and it's already overstayed it's welcome! The constant flux in temperature is causing everyone in my house to get sick and stay that way.   Winter... go home, you're drunk!
As always, until next time...

My Review of Cynders & Ashe by Elizabeth Boyle

Note: This is a short story (less than 10,000 words) and not a novella. Ella Cynders is a hired companion with a romantic bent. So when she switches places with her charge--who is determined to find true love and elope--it is Ella who falls head over heals in love with the very eligible Viscount Ashe. In one masked night, the viscount and Ella find passion and romance, and then tragically are whisked apart before the midnight unmasking. Now five years later, Ella has once again found a way to steal inside the coveted ball, but can she rekindle the magic they found together before her deception is unmasked? This short story was originally published in The Mammoth Book of Regency Romance and in print is 33 pages long.
My Review
5 StarsI have only recently started reading contemporary romance in general, and historical romance was certainly at the bottom of that list. I picked up Cynders & Ashe for two reasons; the cover is gorgeous, and it's a short story. I figured that if I didn't enjoy it, I would only be out a little time. Boy, was I wrong! I loved this story. The author captured the very essence of the time period. Her descriptions of the peasants and the way they spoke as opposed to the more regal and the differences in the vernacular of London. I highly recommend this book.

Cover Reveal for Unbound by Cat Miller

Girl gone wild . . .

College is supposed to be a time of discovery, but Danielle Vaughn never imaged it would be like this: heightened senses, supernatural powers, and a sudden craving for human blood. Dani is a demi-vamp, the daughter of a human psychic and a vampire noble, a living secret kept hidden for twenty-one years.

As Dani’s heritage manifests itself, her thirst for blood is matched only by her hunger for Chase Diedrick. But as the son of the Vampire Council’s most powerful ruling family, Chase is already promised to another. Dani saw Council politics destroy her mother’s life; she won’t let the same thing happen to her. Besides, there’s no shortage of men who are eager to satisfy her every need, including the alluring vampire Kayden.

Unfortunately, Dani also has no shortage of enemies. Her heightened powers of telepathy and telekinesis attract the attention of a rogue vamp who preys on gifted vampires, absorbing their skills along with their lifeblood. Now, Dani must seek the Council’s help to quickly master her new vampire life . . . or risk losing it.

Today we are featuring Jordan K. Rose!

Is it possible to reduce the amount of workplace violence in an organization run by vampires and werewolves? Sofia Engle, the new Employee Relations Manager at Cader House Hospital is about to find out, and she may not like the answer, or the series of firsts she experiences: first human employee at Cader House, first day tardy, first kiss with a dead guy. Well, maybe kissing the dead guy wasn't the worst of it after all.
For nearly 600 years Dragomir Petrescu has fought for The Alliance. As one of the most skilled warriors the Alliance has ever seen he's killed a lot of people and won many difficult battles. But his newest human adversary is turning out to be a worthier opponent than any he's met. Just the scent of her disarms him, never mind her endless policies and silly ideals about civility.
Can he possibly keep her safe from Alliance enemies, hospital employees and himself? The term Employee Relations is about to have a whole new meaning.
Jordan loves vampires. But if you know anything about Jordan, you already knew that detail. What you didn’t know -- it wasn’t long ago that she began writing about them.
A few years back Jordan received a copy of Twilight from her husband as part of her anniversary gift. By the end of that week she’d read the entire series and moved onto Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. Eight weeks and eighteen vampire books later the idea for her first book, Perpetual Light came to her followed very quickly by Eva Prim.
In October of 2013 The Demon Mistress, the first Eva Prim Novel became available along with four short stories. For continual updates on Eva please join the Snack Of The Week Club at www.evaprim.com
Black Magic Rose, Book One in The Alliance Series is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Kobo.
Jordan is a member of the national Romance Writers of America organization and several chapters.
When she’s not writing about one vampire or another Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband, Ken and their lovable Labrador, Dino on the beautiful beaches of Southern Rhode Island.
