Today, we are helping to reveal the cover of Diana Marie DuBois' upcoming release, Voodoo Vows.
Rosie Delacroix returns to New Orleans after her mother’s disappearance, is pulled into an unimagined world and gets more than she bargained for. Ensconced in the life of magic and voodoo, she’s surrounded by unlikely allies.
Julian Quibodeaux, an old flame, re-enters her life and their love is once again reignited like dry tinder to a flame. However, he’s been cursed and unaware he holds a terrible secret…One that could destroy their relationship.
She’ll be tested in many ways, to save the man she loves. Will her friends, and an unusual new-found gift, be enough for her to survive her journey?
As a young girl, Diana Marie Dubois was an avid reader and was often found in the local public library. Now you find her working in her local library. Hailing from the culture filled state of Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans; her biggest inspiration has always been the infamous Anne Rice and her tales of Vampires. It was those very stories that inspired Diana to take hold of her dreams and begin writing. My Review of Savior by Jennifer Malone Wright
This book was formerly titled "The Birth of Jaiden" It now contains a bit of new content, but is still the same story. It has also gone through another re-edit.
Alexander Lucas is a man of faith, casino owner and vampire. He should be living the Reno high life of riches and immortality. Instead, he wakes each night despising the blood on his hands and begging for a reason to continue on.
The last beat of his heart took place shortly after losing his family to a gruesome and violent death. One snowy night, the creature who had been stalking him finally took his life, in turn giving him the gift of immortality. Yet, immortality to Alex is not a gift, but rather a curse to live in eternal pain.
Nearly a century of tortured existence leads him to a dumpster in a dark alley where he finds a reason for continuing on. Nestled between bits of debris and rubbish a tiny infant wails for help. He calls for his best friend and guardian angel, Danielle, who explains to him that he has been chosen to raise this baby, for she would someday become a very powerful, natural witch. She tells him it is now his job to protect her from the enemy who wants her so badly, yet also to be her father.
Thinking this angel is out of her mind, Alex refuses many times until Danielle convinces him that the enemy, Malcolm and his wife Levine, cannot obtain the child and that they are, indeed attempting to find her. He must keep her safe, because if evil hands raise her than she will grow to possess the power to annihilate them all.
Luckily, Alex is not alone, he has The Higher Collective to assist in his mission. With the combined powers of the Vampires, Angels, Dark Angels, Witches and Warlocks, The Higher Collective prepares for a battle to protect the child from the evil she may possibly inherit.
My Review
I was blessed by being given this ebook for an honest review.
Savior is an inspirational story about good vs evil. You are who you choose to be.
I loved each and every character. They were portrayed on the pages in such a real manner that I cared about them as real friends.
Alex suffers a devastating loss and still finds faith to be on the side of good. Of coarse he gets angry and isn't someone I'd want to piss off but his heart is in a good place. He is genuine and I LOVED his character for that.
I...more I was blessed by being given this ebook for an honest review.

Isabella doesn't think highly of herself but cares for those around her deeply. You'll quickly see she's an amazing young witch who shouldn't be underestimated by anyone. This chick can hold her own!
Deanna was another of my favorites. She has tremendous growth in this story and she made me so proud by the end of this tale.
I think this is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ. This should be on a big screen one day. I highly recommend you download. It's so worth it.

My Review of The Master of Whitehall by Rick Veal
The sweeping saga of The Master of Whitehall is set in historic Charleston, South Carolina. There Katelyn Corbin, a thoroughly modern twenty-one year old college senior, faces the prospect of restarting her life after the brutal murder of her parents. Katelyn journeys from her hometown just outside Atlanta to her new school in Charleston. There she soon discovers love, healing and a brand new life in a most unexpected avenue.Soon after arriving in Charleston, Katelyn meets James Dubois, a wealthy patron of the arts at her school. She is deeply intrigued by him and his old world aristocratic bearing. She feels as if he has reached out and somehow touched her very soul. Her interest in him intensifies as she learns he is indeed a mysterious man, with very little known about him. For all outward appearances he is a handsome young widower living alone in the beautifully restored colonial plantation of Whitehall Manor.Their casual friendship soon turns serious, becoming a full on relationship as Katelyn falls madly in love with James. Their lives begin to blend together, twisting and turning, as they continue to grow closer. But James is not the man she thinks he is. After several strange incidents, dark secrets begin to come to the surface. Katelyn soon begins to develop a series of unsettling questions about her new love. She begins searching her own soul for answers, forcing her to question whether or not to continue their relationship. She finally decides that she must know the answers regardless of the outcome to their relationship. When Katelyn confronts him with her questions she soon discovers James' true nature. His confirmation of her suspicions validates her fears that he was indeed not the man she thought, but the man she feared him to be. His revelations shock her, turning her world view on its side. She is forced to acknowledge things about herself and her world that she never thought possible. She discovers that old folklore and fairy-tales are real in a world where vampires live and love side by side with humans.Katelyn continues to uncover secrets as she attempts to adjust what she believes is truth. With her new found knowledge, Katelyn soon realizes she must make a choice. Does she continue her relationship with James, becoming a vampire herself, or does she remain human and live without him. Is she strong enough to make either choice?Katelyn and James invite you to come along on their journey of love. Gaze in awe at their love as it develops and grows stronger for each other. Witness Katelyn’s healing take place as James assists her to close the gaping wounds left by the tragedy of her parent’s murders, giving her full closure in a completely unique manner. Enjoy the story as it reaches a highly emotional and completely unforeseen ending, one that fully illustrates Katelyn's personality of love and care for all those around her.My Review
When I started this book by Rick Veal I expected the POV to be from the vampire himself but was surprised it was from Katelyn's POV.
Mr. Veal did a really nice job. I hadn't yet read any male authors writing in a woman's POV. I liked the history to the vampires story and the setting of Whitehall Manor was a great addition. I can picture the home and am dying to see something like that one day.The love story was nice but a little predictable. There were some characters that came later that I can only assume are for another book because they added nothing major to the story line in my opinion. It flowed nicely just a bit longer than expected. I told my sister about it and she was interested so Rick you have a new potential fan already. Lol.It's a good story overall and I would recommend it to my vampire/historical/romance liking book worm buddies. Thanks to the author for allowing me to review. I have apologized for dinner being a bit crisoy while reading this as well. Happy Reading.

Why Authors do NOT pay for reviews!
Why Authors don't pay for reviews...
Well, it quite simple really... because they're NOT legitimate. Allow me to explain.
When a reader/reviewer/blogger is given a copy of our books in exchange for an honest review... that's what we get. It might not be pretty or even what we we hoping for, however it is real.
If we PURCHASE a review from a company, they always give 5 stars and glowing reviews, gushing over the author and book. I hate to break it to you... some of our books, don't deserve those 'glowing' reviews. Sometimes, we need to go back to school, take a creative writing course and hit the drawing, or in our case the mapping board again.
If I spot a paid, I will turn it into Amazon immediately. These do not help our industry. PLEASE DO NOT DO THEM!!! That is all!!
Work for connections, work for your reviews... they will come in. Probably not as quickly as you would like, but they will be legit.
I love my community and don't want to give the nay sayers any reason to delegitimize our hard work~~~

Hey K.B.! What should be in my media kit?
Media Kits
A few days ago I posted on my Facebook profile inviting other authors to send me their cover reveals, new releases, and giveaways for added promotion. Because extra promotion never hurt anyone's work . I would post their material here on my review blog. I asked that all authors send me in an email, what they wanted promoted and asked them to include a media kit. That makes my life easier than tracking down covers, blurbs, links, and author info. Especially since I was offering to do them a favor <3
I was a little shocked as I began receiving emails at just how many authors didn't know what a media kit was or what it included. So, I thought that I would take this opportunity to let authors out there that may not be aware of what a media kit was, or those that were too afraid to ask.
What should be included in a well prepared media kit? Media kits should always be prepared in a Word Doc, or another program that is compatible.Approved Author PictureAuthor BiographyAll of the covers of your booksAll of your book blurbsAll of the links to purchase your booksAll of the links that fans can stalk you onBook TrailersExcerptsAnd, any promotional graphics.
As you can see, it's really quite simple, but still one of those things that a large majority of new authors, and a few seasoned authors don't know about.
A media kit makes things very easy on you, AND all reviewers and bloggers helping to promote you. Since we want to ensure further dealings with our blogger friends, a media kit is a handy-dandy thing to have ready to go.

Impulsion Cover Reveal by Jamie Magee
Title: Impulsion Author: Jamie Magee Genre: New AdultReveal Host: Lady Amber's ToursBLURBWith a glance Wyatt Doran stole Harley Tatum’s heart. With each summer that passed, touch by touch, they robbed each other’s innocence, birthing a love that was so deep that it scorched within. Without warning, they were ripped from the clutches of each other, placed in lives that were worlds apart. Only to cross paths after a freak accident where Harley’s horse rig was flipped. An accident that Wyatt Doran, from fire station 32, responded. The tension was immediate, the emotions were raw. One breath told them they were not the same as before, one touch…changed their world.
The fun non boring Bio :) I'm an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. Addicted to Red Bull. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite 'shade.' Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for 'marked moments' every moment of everyday...and I find them. Life is beautiful!Boring one.... Jamie Magee has always believed that each of us have a defining gift that sets us apart from the rest of the world, she has always envied those who have known from their first breath what their gift was. Not knowing hers, she began a career in the fast paced world of business. Raising a young family, and competing to rise higher in that field would drive some to the point of insanity, but she always found a moment of escape in a passing daydream. Her imagination would take her to places she'd never been, introduce her to people she's never known. Insight, her debuting novel, is a result of that powerful imagination. Today, she is grateful that not knowing what defined her, led her on a path of discovery that would always be a part of her.Author Links:Web: http://www.authorjamiemagee.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/Jamie_Magee_ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Insight.Jami... His fingertips slowly moved down her face, down her neck. He noticed how all the tension in her body drifted away, how her eyes slowly closed, the long, deep breaths that were causing her chest to rise and fall.“The sight of you brought it all back, past and present colliding with a magnitude that is so great…that I have no choice but to stop and realize that the only thing holding us back this go ‘round is us.”He reached his arm around her waist and pulled her body against his, causing her eyes to fly open, those breaths to come even faster. “And Harley, I’m going to fight like hell for you. And as soon as I make you mine again, I will die before I ever let anyone take you from me again.” His hand rose to her face, his thumb grazed her flesh, his eyes dipped to her lips, then met her gaze once more. “You’re the only woman I have ever loved. That I ever will love.”All at once, they both moved forward, their lips connecting as if they were molded from one source, a well-practiced dance of flesh, the perfect rhythm, teasing brushes of tongues that knew just when to fall into a deeper kiss, a kiss that was so devouring that all thought, all reason vanished. The impulse of the heart, that deep passion that lies dormant within erupted to a euphoria that made it impossible to fathom life outside of that very instant.

I was a Russian spy at the ripe age of thirteen, given my uncanny ability to tell if someone was lying ( I also read fortunes on the weekends). By sixteen I had become too much of a handful for the Lethal Intelligence Ensemble (L.I.E.). I was quickly exiled to the south of France where I worked with wayward elephants in the Circus of Roaming Animals and People (C.R.A.P.). I was able to make ends meet by selling my organs on the black market for pocket change and beer money. At the age of twenty three I decided to expand my horizons and become a blackjack dealer in Ireland. I loved the family atmosphere at Barney's Underground Liquor Lounge (B.U.L.L.). People couldn't resist the allure of Liquor up front and poker in the rear. Eventually I became tired of the rear and headed off to the United States to try my hand at tall tales. That is what brings us here today. If you have a moment I'd like to tell you a story. (This bio is not to be taken seriously under any circumstance.)

My review of Fat Chances by J.S. Wilsoncroft
Annie is a normal, overweight 18-year-old senior in high school, until she meets Cory, the sexy, super hot Zumba instructor that turns her life upside down. Plagued with extreme insecurity due to her excessive weight, Annie learns to love and to love herself. Through Cory, she learns that she is lovable.“Fat Chances” will warm your heart and reminds us all that it’s what’s in the heart, not on the body, that counts. My Review
5 Owls
I really enjoyed Fat Chances! Normally, our main female characters are slim, fit, and unbeknownst to them, runway model gorgeous. Annie is not... at least not on the outside. A forced trip to a Zumba class is going to rock her world! To me, this book had a realistic quality that we should be instilling in our young ladies. You don't have to paint your face, starve, or be a Hollywood starlet to get the guy. Just be true to yourself, the way Annie was. She learned how to love herself, while being healthy, NOT anorexic. I loved the characters, and this world! Bravo J.S.!! I loved it!Purchase Links AmazonBarnes and Noble
