Here’s excerpt three from His Alien Virgin:

“Stuttering Star snatchers!” Skylar pushed off the ground and stood, brushing at her tattered clothing. Her life on Earth wasn’t supposed to end before it started. If only she’d had time to prepare for a smoother landing.

Who was she kidding? The entry had been a total disaster, the vessel she’d traveled in smashed into millions of pieces, likely scattered across the desert, along with her few belongings. She had nothing left but the shredded clothes she clutched across her body. So much for luck. Thank goodness she’d had the chance to dematerialize from the ship before it crashed. Now, she needed to make her way to the Castillo Hotel and meet her date.

On her journey through space, she’d researched the company Danyka said had brought her and Skylar’s brothers together. With hope to find her own perfect match on Earth, she’d filled out the unending application for the 1Night Stand dating service, and studied endless videos and transcripts about her destination, reciting the language and practicing the gestures of the natives. As she’d passed Earth’s moon, she received Madame Evangeline’s transmitted details of her upcoming evening of pleasure. The Frenchwoman had scheduled everything to happen that night. No chance for Skylar to rest or get acclimated to her new surroundings. But her landing had ruined everything. Approaching a private airfield north of the city called Las Vegas, she’d cut the thrusters too early and sent the ship into a downward spiral.

With quick fingers, she’d programmed the coordinates of the Castillo Hotel into the transporter. At least that equipment was familiar. She’d avoided the crash, but landed in some dark alley instead of a building.

Gods help her if she showed up for her date wearing only scraps of material. Her blue hair and lips and pale face would already garner her unwanted attention. Why had she ever thought she would fit in there? But Madame Eve had promised her date would not run from her alien appearance. We’ll see.

She inched her way down the back street, toward the illuminated end. Heading farther into the shadowed area held no appeal in the unfamiliar landscape. Who knew what she’d encounter?

Glancing around the corner, she gasped. Flashing lights of every color imaginable adorned the exotic architecture. Some of the framework consisted of precise lines and angles, while others were so abstract, they had to be imported from another dimension. And yet, they all stood side by side like a proud, blended family. Like I should have.

She shook off the thought. Her stepbrothers had abandoned her so many star cycles before, arranging her place on the blasted planet Rebed, where orphaned females from across the universe were sold as trophy wives for wealthy space pirates. Meanwhile, Galan and Volan went gallivanting through space without her. And then, on her twenty-first birthday, they’d decided to visit, bringing along their new wife, a woman so sweet, Skylar wanted to know if everyone on Earth could be so kind.

But they’d scoffed at the idea of her visiting the Terran planet, thought it obscene she would use the 1Night Stand service for her first date, her first sexual encounter. And they’d refused to listen to her objections about the place they’d left her on, still believing it the best atmosphere for her to grow up in. She’d never had a chance to object, reveal the true purpose of the orphanage. Oh, she’d tried, but Za’lar, her keeper, had ushered her family away to their quarters for the evening before she’d had the chance to share everything, including her marriage contract. So, she’d done what she had to do. She’d sweet-talked Danyka into giving her Madame Eve’s contact information before the woman was escorted away, then hijacked her brothers’ ship. No way did she plan on being at the orphanage come morning. Ghorkle would be without a new bride.

And if Galan and Volan hadn’t left her there, they’d still have a vessel. She sighed, hating that she’d deceived the three of them. But I’m free. She no longer had to wait for the dreaded day she married Ghorkle, a fate worse than death. Would he search for her on Earth? No, he couldn’t touch her there. He’d never visit a planet whose inhabitants were not yet aware of life beyond their solar system. Or so she hoped.

Cringing, she remembered his tentacle sliding down her cheek, reaching under the too-short skirt she’d been forced to wear to please her betrothed. A sour taste burned her throat. She did not want him to take her virginity, never wanted to have sex with him at all. Her first time with a man would be on her terms. Tonight.

“Hey, Tess!” A high-pitched voice caught her attention. “Did you see the meteor that was heading toward the airport? Wanna go look for meteorites or aliens?”

Or maybe not.

With cautious steps, she slunk back into the darkness. The last thing she needed was someone to notice her half-nakedness, let alone her extraterrestrial appearance. Blue lips and hair were hardly common from the pictures she’d viewed of Earth’s inhabitants. Someone screaming alien would turn her horrible night into a torturous nightmare. How would she travel the remaining distance without the natives staring? And if she arrived at the hotel safely, then what would she do? Even if she did fit in as a local, no one would go out with someone dressed in strips of cloth. With nothing to trade for goods there, her date was a bust. She never should have come, should have listened to her brothers. Maybe if she’d had the chance to tell them about Ghorkle, they would have taken her with them, gotten her out of the wedding.

Her belly knotted. What am I going to do now? She refused to return to Rebed. And unless she decided to contact her brothers, she’d remain stuck on the foreign planet. All alone. Hiding from the inhabitants.

No! She brought the pity party to an abrupt halt. She’d wanted this, and had to figure out her next move.

She studied the GPS on the wristband her brother had left on the ship. The flashing red dot showed her only a block away from her destination. Glancing down at her clothes, she sighed. Wait! Madame Evangeline. If anyone could help, the Frenchwoman could. If Skylar reached the Castillo, she might be able to contact her from there.

Peeking around the corner again, she eyed the swarm of Terrans, rather than the lights.

Welcome to immortality in utopia! Cover Reveal – REBOOT by Pippa Jay @pippajaygreen #scifirom

Reboot by Pippa Jay
REBOOT by Pippa Jay

Coming March 31, 2014

“Welcome to immortality in utopia!”

From the moment Damien signed up for a perfect life with ReGen Inc., he didn’t ask any questions. He didn’t want or need to know. But after he’s rebooted this time, there are gaps in his memory he can’t ignore, and people he no longer recognizes are accusing him of betrayal. When someone dies, he’s determined to go looking for answers…but sometimes it really is better to forget.

More Information here

blog space excerpt

Someone pounded on his door. Damien jerked out of bed, heart hammering. Had ReGen realized their mistake? Were they coming to wipe the rest of his memories?

Reality swept over him as the last of the fog of sleep faded. He wasn’t a hermit. People often came to visit, though they weren’t usually so loud about it.

He pushed off the bed, a slight stiffness making his movements awkward. He clipped the doorframe on his way out and cursed at the spike of pain in his shoulder. Clumsy! The last thing he wanted to do was damage this new body so soon after a reboot.

“Hold on!” he yelled at the unknown visitor hell-bent on punching a hole through his front door.

He was still clothed from last night, but he paused in front of his mirror to drag his fingers through the tufts of his dark hair. “Yes, all right. I’m coming!” He tugged his shirt straight. “Open.”

A dark-haired woman stumbled through the door and fell against him. “Damien!”

His arms circled her by instinct, but the impact sent him staggering back a step or two. “Whoa!”

She gazed up at him, her hazel eyes red-rimmed as if from crying, and her pretty face screwed into wrinkles. “I was so worried. When you didn’t come over last night…”

“Last night? Come where?” Her body pressed into his was causing all kinds of interesting reactions, but confusion overrode them. “Who are you?”

“Who?” Her eyes widened, and she jerked out of his embrace. “What’s wrong with you?”

Fear swamped him again, a cold that chilled him to the bone. “Diagnostics says I’m fine.”

“Diagnostics?” She backed away, as if he’d morphed into the worst kind of monster, then grabbed his right hand. Damien flinched as she rubbed her thumb hard over the back of his hand. Over the place where his scar had been. “Oh…” She dropped his hand, her head still bowed. “Oh, Damien.”

“What?”

Her gaze knifed through him, accusing. “You’ve been rebooted.”

Countdown to HIS #ALIENVIRGIN ~ 4 days before release & a SALE! #newadult

HisAlienVirginBanner

Hello! Thank you for joining me for day two of my new release countdown!

I have a $0.99 SALE going on! More details below.

Here’s excerpt two from His Alien Virgin:

A whoosh echoed to her left. With a startled jump, she stared in the direction of the sound. The door. She placed her hand over her chest. Thank the gods.

Ducking inside, she slid onto the captain’s chair. The ship now lay at her mercy. Finally, she had a chance to get off of the planet, an opportunity to live a new life. To be happy like she used to be when her parents were still alive, instead of dreading every second until her twenty-first birthday. It was time to live on her own terms, find her own love, rather than be chosen by a wealthy old space pirate with twelve arms and just as many wives. Or, maybe take a chance like her brothers—stepbrothers—and leave her fate in the hands of the mysterious Earth woman, Madame Evangeline. If Eve could find a Terran female to handle both Galan and Volan, surely she could locate a man for Skylar. Maybe someone from Earth, too. No matter, she refused to become another consort to the beast, another womb to carry his tentacle alien babies.

Skylar brushed her hands across the console. How on earth do I start this thing? Was there a key card? A special code? No one had bothered to teach her.

Damn! She slammed her palms on the dash, tears splashing onto the console. I’m never going to get away from here. Not on my own.

“Engine started.”

She gasped, panels and lights coming to life around her. A sharp buzz filled the air. Yes!

The cabin shook. The engine roared. Too loud. Someone would hear.

“Please enter your destination.”

Destination? Her fingers tingled, her throat suddenly dry. Did she really want to go to Earth? She knew nothing about the planet, only what her brothers and their wife, Danyka, had told her only hours earlier. How would she live? She had few Space Service credits to spend anywhere. How would she survive when she had no one to help her?

Didn’t matter. She had to go. She swallowed the lump in her throat.

Scrolling through the tap-down menu, she located Earth. If her brothers could find happiness there, why couldn’t she? She deserved pleasure and joy as much as they did.

With a slight lift, the ship hovered above the ground. Gripping the handles of the chair, she braced for takeoff. Vibrations shook the cabin, as if a comet passed within the atmosphere. Her stomach churned.

The ship lunged forward, inertia shoving her back in her seat. She couldn’t move. But, at least, she was leaving Rebed. I’m finally free!

Countdown to HIS #ALIENVIRGIN – 5 days before release #newadult

His Alien Virgin - a new adult sci-fi romance 1Night Stand story by Jessica E. Subject

Hello! I’m super excited about my upcoming release. HIS ALIEN VIRGIN will be available Friday, March 28. It is a new adult sci-fi romance that begins on a distant planet before the heroine travels to Earth. It is also my seventh 1Night Stand story with Decadent Publishing.

Starting today, I’m going to share excerpts & more about the story, counting down until release day. I hope you’ll join me each day. There will be giveaways and sales along the way, too.

Here’s an excerpt from the beginning of the story:

Skylar shoved a shirt and a pair of pants—the only non-revealing clothes she owned—into her bag. She didn’t bother to zip it up, worried the sound of metal teeth grinding against each other would arouse her roommates. The last thing she needed to happen. They would only cause more delays. And she refused to live in the complex a moment longer. Or on the planet.

With a quiet breath, she tiptoed across the cold steel floor, weaving around the rays of light reflecting off the two moons into the dormitory.

A soft sigh echoed through the room and Skylar froze, biting her bottom lip to keep her panic from boiling over. She gazed around and noticed one of her roommates smiling, her eyes closed.

“Oh, Hay’den, you’ve come to rescue me.”

How they all wished for their heroes to come. Only, none ever did.

The girl rolled onto her side. If she opened her eyes, she’d find Skylar standing in front of her.

Please, don’t wake up. As much as she’d love to take them all with her, she didn’t have time to tell anyone of her plan. Plus, more bodies meant more noise and a greater risk of alerting her keeper of their purpose.

She glanced at the door. Her path to freedom lay only a few feet away.

After thirty seconds of no movement or sound from the other bunks, she continued her trek, daring to take the chance of being caught. Finally reaching the exit, she twisted the handle, but her sweaty palms did nothing to ease her escape. She wiped her hands on her barely there nightdress and twisted again, releasing a heavy breath at the satisfying click.

Peeking up and down the hallway, she saw no one to stop her, no one who would crush her dreams of getting off Rebed. Without a space pirate, that was. A shudder ran through her, and she swallowed down her unease. Once she got away, she no longer had to worry about the monster coming to claim her in the morning.

Time to go. Run! She dashed around a corner and down the empty corridor, toward the dark-as-space shipyard. Her heart pounded like a fist against her ribs. She’d never stolen anything in her life, but she had to leave, refused to remain in the hellhole a second longer.

She peeked outside, searching for a lookout, anyone who could stop her from reaching her destination. All clear. Though she wouldn’t breathe a sigh of relief until she’d left the atmosphere, landed on a new planet. For only then would she be free. If her brothers ever found out she’d escaped and broken her contract, they’d hunt her down, tie her up, and drag her back to Rebed—soil she never wanted to set foot on again. Yet, if she made it to the other side of the galaxy, she could blend in and never look back.

Spying her target, a star cruiser belonging to her brothers, she raced across the tarmac. After deserting her on the planet star cycles ago, Galan and Volan had finally come to visit, bringing their new wife, Danyka, to meet her. Skylar’s mother had married a blue-skinned humanoid with two sons. But when their parents died in a shuttle crash, she’d been left in the care of her teenage stepbrothers. She understood they weren’t mature enough to care for a child, but she’d been old enough to take care of herself. It hadn’t been necessary to drop her off on Rebed.

She slapped her palm on the scanner, shaking in anticipation. Please, let my print still be on file. So much time had passed since she’d flown in the vessel. Had her brothers changed the codes or erased her data once they’d abandoned her? Tapping her foot, she waited for a green light, for the door to open. Something.

She glanced behind her. Come on. Hurry!

Seconds, maybe minutes passed without a response. Sweat washed over her. She fought to catch her breath and tears stung the backs of her eyes. Please! Once the sun rose, she’d be twenty-one star cycles, legal to be presented to the disgusting creep who’d bought her contract, the exact person she wanted to escape.

Sharing their first kiss in HIS #ALIENVIRGIN #MySexySaturday #1NS #NewAdult

My Sexy Saturday

Hello everyone! Thank you for joining me for the 41st week of My Sexy Saturday.

Sometimes our characters rebel against a system fraught with discord or maybe unfairness. Sometimes, it is the heroine who has to sneak out of her childhood home to be with the man she loves. Sometimes, the hero has to sacrifice everything to be with the woman of his dreams.

Every story is different as is every character. It goes without saying that every reader is different and therefore we write love scenes for every genre. This week we are sharing those scenes with you. From the moment our rebel couple meets, their first hot kiss, to the fulfillment of a dream, we are showing the wonders of finding, falling in love and loving your significant other.

So, here’s even more to droll about and sigh about and love about our stories. Because happily-ever-afters start with that one special moment, be it soft and gentle or rough and fast. These are the good parts of the stories where the characters are making love or about to be loved. Forever!

This week, I’m sharing another seven from my upcoming release, HIS ALIEN VIRGIN.

His Alien Virgin - a new adult sci-fi romance 1Night Stand story by Jessica E. Subject

Set-up: In this new adult sci-fi romance, Daran resisted Skylar as his date because she is the younger sister of his best friends. But, eventually he gives into temptation.

Mine. He yanked his hand away. No, she’s not. And never could be. He could never betray his friends. But they’d betrayed her, leaving her as fodder for rich space monsters to fight over and have their way with. Never would Daran force himself upon her like the cretin would have, but if she offered herself freely, he refused to push her away any longer. Adults now, they could make their own decisions.

Brushing his thumb across her cheek, he swept away the last of her tears. “Don’t cry anymore. You’re here with me now. I won’t ever let them take you back.”

“You mean it?” She gazed at him, so vulnerable with wide blue eyes that captivated him every time he caught a glance of them.

He tried to focus on something else, only to have his attention land on the swell of her breasts peeking out from the top of the dress. With every breath she took, they lifted, teasing him, taunting him to touch. To taste.

Swallowing primal hunger, Daran trailed his fingers across the smooth line of her jaw and down her long neck. “I want you. I’ve always wanted you, Skylar.”

Her eyelids fluttered closed as if she expected. Sucking in a quick breath, he met her soft lips. But she remained hesitant and unresponsive, as if unsure what to do next.

Wrapping his arms around her, he held Skylar tight. He had her now and never wanted to let her go. Guiding her gently through their first kiss, he explored her decadent flavor. Cherries and vanilla. Heaven on Earth.

About the story:

She is desperately seeking freedom…

On the eve before her twenty-first birthday, Skylar steals a ship and escapes from the planet Rebed. She refuses to be another wife to the slimy space pirate that is her betrothed. After hearing of her brothers’ own success, she applies to the 1Night Stand service on her way to Earth, hoping Madame Eve can find a man to be her hero, to make her feel special, even if for only one night.

He is trying to fit in…

Daran traveled to Earth years ago, and he still struggles to fit in on the planet. But when his boss suggests a blind date, he reluctantly agrees. What would happen if anyone found out about his alien ancestry?

And they are not at all meant to be together…

As best friend to Skylar’s brothers, Daran has always forced himself to fight his attraction to her. He cannot see her as anything more than a little sister, someone to protect. So, why did Madame Eve match them together?

Has Madame Eve made a huge mistake, or will Daran tread into forbidden territory to be with the one woman he’s always wanted, and become the hero Skylar craves?

Senna woke to her breast beeping. Trying to make sense of the oddity, she pushed herself up to rest on her elbows and discovered the noise came from Brendon’s wristwatch. Somehow, his hand had found its way beneath her bra during the night, and now chirped like a baby chick.

She contemplated tearing his hand off at the wrist, but he looked so angelic with his curly dark hair framing his handsome face. With a heavy sigh, she unlatched her bra and eased his hand out, then gently shook him until his face scrunched into a pained grimace.

He groaned and frowned at his noisy watch. “This is a god-awful hour to be woken up,” he said in his sexy British accent. “Never bothers me when I’m coming home at this hour.”

Senna rolled her eyes. “Speak for yourself.”

Pushing himself up, he shook his head. “Remember the second night I came around? You kept yelling at me, ‘Did I realize it was four in the morning?’ At the time, I couldn’t understand your fuss.” He groaned and scratched his scalp. “Well, I certainly understand it now. It’s bloody hell to be woken at this ungodly hour.”

Spring Fling Blog Hop ~ March 20-23 ~ 5 Grand Prizes incl. #Kindle! #HopsWithHeart

Spring Fling Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to the Spring Fling Hop!

Thank you to Jane Wakely for organizing the hop!

I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. This year, Spring seemed to take forever to get here. We had record-breaking cold temperatures, and snow like I haven’t seen since I was a child. And even though we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground, I’m already seeing signs of Spring, like mud, grass, and twitterpated birds. I’ve yet to see my first robin of the year though. Soon!

Spring is the time for renewal, and sometimes for brand-new beginnings.

In my upcoming release, HIS ALIEN VIRGIN, Skylar is desperately seeking out a new beginning. She is destined to marry a polyamorous, tentacled space pirate, but all she wants is someone to love her. So, she steals a ship and escapes, heading toward Earth.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart.”

She sucked back a sob, her fight slipping away. “I’ve wanted to be mad at you for so long.” She rolled her eyes.   “Why do you have to look so damn good in that uniform?”

He chuckled and cupped her face in his hands, lowering his head to brush his lips gently against hers.

Instant ignition.

“Oh, God, please don’t.” She placed her palms to his solid chest, feeling his muscled pecks under all that uniform. Her body trembled from the tip of her toes to the top of her head. Startled by her immediate reaction to him, she pushed him away.

“This can’t happen, Nicholas. I’m not young and naïve anymore. You broke my heart once.  I won’t let you do it again.” Whew. She hadn’t been sure she’d actually be able to say those words aloud.

His hands dropped to his sides, not stopping her when she stepped away.

“Dana, we need to talk. There’s a lot you don’t know about the night I left.”

Too little too late.  She needed to flee, but couldn’t think beyond this moment. She wanted this man so much it hurt, but too much pain had been suffered. She turned, shaking her head. “It doesn’t matter anymore.”

He reached for her arm.

“It does matter, damn it. At least to me.” He ran his hand through his hair.  “Please stay, Dana. You’re here and this night is about our friends and their wedding. That’s the most important thing right now—being here for our friends.”

She hesitated.  Damn him, he was right. She was here for her friend, even though she was really pissed at Amy for purposely leading her into this mess. Amy knew full well Dana would be a wreck, but she would deal with her friend later. She avoided Nick’s eyes and just nodded in agreement.

Daran meets his date in HIS ALIEN VIRGIN, a #1NightStand story #MySexySaturday

My Sexy Saturday

Hello everyone! Today is the 40th week of My Sexy Saturday. Yes, author Lynn Crain has been hosting all of us authors for forty weeks now. A huge shout out to her!

What happens when we’re having no sexy? When our characters are too tired, too ill or just not in the mood. We realized even though we talk about the sexy and doing the sexy and everything sexy, sometimes that just doesn’t enter the picture. Sometimes it is truly about the love between two people when the sexy fails them for some reason.

Today, I’m sharing seven from my upcoming release, HIS ALIEN VIRGIN.

His Alien Virgin - a new adult sci-fi romance 1Night Stand story by Jessica E. Subject

Set-up: In this new adult sci-fi romance, Daran sees his date for the first time. And while he feels the sexy, he’s not able to follow through. Why? Read the excerpt then the blurb to find out.

She drew nearer, her appearance becoming more defined. A silver dress hugged her body, both protecting and giving a hint of the delicious treat inside. The candlelight reflected off her wide eyes, leaving them glowing like sapphires. With most of her hair pulled back, the remaining long blue tendrils framed her face and highlighted her matching lips. But her radiant, mesmerizing eyes brought about his recognition. He knew her. His stomach sank along with all hopes for the evening.

Available March 28, 2014
